Not sure why I'm even trying to start this. I'm too nauseous to do any physical activity and I'm eating all the time to try to lessen the nausea...but whatever. Anyone else being successful...or not...in staying healthy or active so far?
Or you can complain about symptoms here too. Or anything else health related:)

I started a 6 week challenge at my gym about 3 weeks ago and I am trying to stick with it. I go to class whenever I can, about 3-4 times a week usually. It alternates between kickboxing and strength training. I need to work on my eating again, for the first week we were on a strict diet of basically only lean meat and vegetables and I am thinking of going back to that again. I probably won't though 😂

Lolololol. No. I'm lucky if I have the energy to clean. I'm mostly concentrating on walking when I can at work, not sitting too long, and eating healthy.
I am going to be talking to my doc about physical therapy though. Last time I was pregnant, kiddo misaligned my right hip in the third tri. I couldn't put any weight on my leg - the stupid OB for my appointment that day kept insisting it was sciatica. Um, NO lady. I finally begged her, went two days later, and the physical therapist took pity on my and got my hip back in place, and gave me exercise to keep it there. No way am I waiting for some OB that is not my regular OB (we have to meet with all the OBs in office while pregnant in case ours isn't available during delivery) to tell me whether or not my pain is real. GRR.

I’m definitely struggling with this already. I had GD and gestational hypertension with my last pregnancy so I’m kind of already anticipating the same for this one. Knowing there’s no way to avoid it if it’s going to happen gives me some anxiety but at least I know what to expect. At the very least I want to try to do some regular walking and stretching so that I don’t completely lose all muscle tone and gain a ton of weight.

@frank this is my first summer baby since DD1 and I am so excited to be able to just walk! DD2 and DD3 were March and January babies and winter made me sooooo lazy.

I was doing so well before this. My weight is usually back to normal after breastfeeding but my body was so squishy after 2 kids (but three full term pregnancies) within 3 years. I finally decided to try to get more fit. I started working out after the kids were in bed for and kept at it for 12 months! But then I started slacking off during my 2 week waits because what’s the point if I’m just going to gain a bunch of weight?! I need to get back into the habit and think of the benefits for a healthy pregnancy, but.... ugh.

robinanne This is so me! I lucked out in terms of genetics (and had HG so only gained 26 lbs) so my body went back to normal pretty quickly after DD. Not on its own. I was working out every day with her strapped to me in the Ergo:) Then when she got older I got back into the habit of waking up early and working out before work. Then we started TTC:/ 18 months of TTC, 23 weeks of pregnancy (now 32 if I count this one), 2 D&C's, an almost life ending hemorrhage...I easily gained 15 to 20 lbs through all of that. Then I lost some the first few weeks of this pregnancy because I was so sick. But now I have no desire at all to step on the scale.

I’ve been on strict orders since I started the IVF process to not exercise. I wouldn’t want to right now with everything going on anyway. I was trying to watch my diet and drop a few pounds prior though. Kudos to you guys for thinking about it right now.

Ugh. So, I'm in the worst shape of my life. Before TTC, I had a Mirena and it messed me up big time. I gained a ton of weight and have not been able to get rid of it. I want to be able to eat healthier than I am right now, but I'm really just in survival mode with what I eat. I haven't gained any weight yet, and hopefully the nausea won't last and I can get better about food choices soon.

I'm in really bad shape. I'm pretty sure I'm 265 after getting down to 230 after giving birth to ds2 in March. I'm going to start walking a lot before I go in around 8 weeks and hope I've dropped a few lbs so they don't fat shame me.

Do you guys take Tylenol when you’re pregnant? I know it’s officually ok, but I sort of don’t want to. I have these headaches now though, and I feel like I can hardly function 🙁

Sometimes drinking more fluids can help with headaches. I know trying to drink more water always helps with mine. Sorry I'm not much help:/

beenthere They wouldn't actually say something to you about your weight would they? I'd be so pissed! No way would that be ok!

beenthere They wouldn't actually say something to you about your weight would they? I'd be so pissed! No way would that be ok! When I was pregnant with DS2, I had one of my providers freak out that I'd gained 20lbs by 30 weeks and I needed to cut out all carbs and sugar immediately or I wouldn't be able to VBAC. (I didn't VBAC but it was completely unrelated to my weight) I'm 6'1", so I really don't even feel that overweight but this provider put in my chart that I was morbidly obese. (and she also shamed me for not breastfeeding too) I almost put an ice complaint in but I wasn't up to going to the office to do it.

I am trying hard to stay in shape! With my first two pregnancies I was not active at all. Before finding out I was pregnant, I lost 40 pounds and was running/Orangetheory 5-6x a week. So far I have been able to keep up with the Orangetheory, but I am not into running in the cold NE winter.

robinanne, Tylenol doesn't do much for me so I usually just skip it. I did actually take some today though because I woke up with a horrible headache and have been staring at spreadsheets all day and needed something.

Yeah, I decided not to take it for now. I opted to try the more fluids route. I’m having a hard time deciding what to drink though. So far apple juice seems to be the winner lol!

beenthere I'm 6'0 so I totally get it. Even gaining 20 lbs this past year doesn't really show all that much. I can't believe they said that to you! I totally would gave put a complaint in! Don't let some unthinking idiot put a damper on this pregnancy experience for you in any way.

beenthere I am 215 pounds and 5'5". I can tell you as a healthcare provider that "morbidly obese" is an automatic calculation that shows up in your chart based on BMI (it showed up in mine, too). Don't get me started on what a shitty measurement BMI is 🙄 I am sorry your provider treated you so crappily, that is completely uncalled for.

I need to do something. Any type of activity would be better than my currently level of nothing. I feel like crap all the time and I know if I would just make myself workout or do some walks/jogs I would feel much better. I've been using my PCOS as a crutch/excuse for far too long.
I felt great my first pregnancy when I was 175ish. With my second I was 210 and felt worse. This time I'm starting out at 240ish and already feel horrible and lazy and unmotivated. I don't want to get to 25-30 weeks and be miserable.
