My 28 week growth scan is today. It’s been 12 weeks since our last U/S so I’m super excited to see baby girl! I know they can be off on size but she was measuring 95th percentile at the last U/S so I’m hoping her growth has evened out a bit. I’ll also be getting my Rhogam shot today. I’m taking DD with me because I figured she’d enjoy seeing the baby so I’m hoping she’ll behave and it’ll all go well 🤞🏻

Back to share some pictures of baby girl! I'm 28weeks 2 days today and she's measuring 29 weeks 4 days. 84th percentile. 3lbs 1oz. Everything looks good 💗

cch, beautiful baby! The one downside to doing growth scans at my OB's versus the high-risk center is no 3D ultrasound.

I just had a US today too but my picture is way creepy lol they caught him with his mouth open. His estimated weight is 5lbs 5 ozs right now falling in to the 42% percentile. I can't believe I only have a couple weeks left!

Is it normal for the baby to have lazy days? Somedays he moves all day long it feels like and then others not much at all and it makes me nervous. I don’t go more than a couple hours without feeling something but still. Maybe he wears himself out from the busy days?

I spend time poking AMD prodding him. But then he will start going crazy and I'm like "omg settle down!". I can't win.

strawberrykiki our LO definitely fluctuates in activity level, not only at different times of day but from day to day. I sometimes get concerned but DH is always chill about it. He reminds me that kick counts...10 movements within 1-2 hours... Are supposed to be done at baby's typical most active time anyway, and it's ok if I need to eat something sweet or drink cold water to get baby moving. So I think it must be really normal to have stretched without noticeable movement. I've also noticed that now that there are super strong movements, I don't even register the slighter movements anymore!

strawberrykiki I’ve found myself feeling anxious about activity when she doesn’t move around her usual times too. I think it’s completely normal though. Every time I start to fret she moves around within the hour and I feel silly for worrying but that’s all apart of motherhood! I hate to say the worrying never ends and only gets worse!

I don’t go more than a couple hours without feeling something but still. Maybe he wears himself out from the busy days? Totally normal! Some days, it feels like I’m being pummeled almost constantly. Other days, I barely feel anything unless I stop to do a kick count. I have to remind myself that I still have an anterior placenta, and if he’s facing my back I might not feel much. This made me terribly anxious with DS, and it still gets me nervous with this one.

Since I wrote that he’s been bopping around a lot! It’s so hard not to worry about every little thing! I guess this is only the start of how much I’m going to worry about him!

I just had a not so great appointment. She is measuring small, 9%, and my placenta/cord look okay but not perfect. She looks okay otherwise and my fluid is good but I'm being referred to high risk for Monday. Best case scenario I'll probably end up delivering by 34 weeks but likely closer to 32. I just wanted one normal pregnancy and I'm so frustrated with my body and scared something bad will happen to her. And of course SO was working today and I was at my appointment alone.

I'm sorry tngrl3. You had to go early with your first pregnancy right? I hope this one can keep cooking safely a little longer, it's still so early

My second was born at 36 weeks but not for the same issue. I was just hoping to make it to term this time.

k I'm 28w3d right now. I had a Biophysical Profile today with my growth scan and she is doing okay right now so no steroid shot yet. The goal is to get her to 34w before delivering bit realistically probably 32w. I'll know more once I see high risk Monday. I'll most likely be doing twice weekly NST/BFP with at least weekly OB appointments and if things start looking worse, move towards delivery at that point. This is all pretty similar to what I went through with DS so I kind of know what to expect which is the one positive.

tngrl3 I'm so sorry friend. That is frustrating news. I'm glad they're able to monitor everything and do what's safest for your little girl but it sucks you're having to go through this again. Saying a prayer for your peace and health!! Hope things go well and she can keep cooking longer than expected!

Ultrasound went well today! A is finally caught up at least with her weight and everything looks great They want us back for another scan in January. Just curious, is that normal? I had assumed this would be our last scan until maybe the very end for a growth check since everything looked good. I haven't had to go to a high risk place before A so I have no idea what's normal and what isn't. Should I contact their billing people to see if my insurance will still cover the upcoming ultrasounds? Pics of A for you lovely people

thelittleredm, did they give you a reason for the frequent scans other than the initial measurements? I'm going to keep getting ultrasounds because of marginal cord insertion, but once baby caught up on size I was able to transfer the appointments back to my OBs office at least.

notagoddess, So, I know this U/S today was to double check and make sure baby's measurements were still fine and that their initial scan wasn't a fluke with the measurements. The doctor didn't give me a reason this time, just said he wanted to do another one in 4-5 weeks and that there would be a fourth scan sometime after that as a final growth scan.
