Is anyone else watching this? It's fascinating. I missed the very beginning, though. I'm around Monica Lewinsky's age and I had a very different response to the events then than I would have if it happened now. www.aetv.com/shows/the-clinton-affair

I'm now convinced that Bill Clinton is a sexual predator.

I have very very mixed feelings on the whole thing Power is an aphrodisiac to a lot of people and young Bill was REALLY charismatic. Absolute power corrupts absolutely I think she was aware of what she was doing when she was flirting with him. I hesitate to call her a victim at times He is a predator but I don’t know if it’s all ill intent. I think he was used to women throwing themselves at him and it evolved and he got to the point where he couldn’t believe anyone would say no to him because of that. I’m not excusing his behavior one bit. To be very very clear. It’s super complicated in my head. But if we’re going to say a women’s choice is her choice. That has to include mistakes we make. There were a lot of women at the time who were get it girl when this thing went down. Ken Starr and Linda Tripp victimized Monica more imo than Clinton. It just isn’t black and white to me

It's actually the other women's stories (not Monica's) that make me call him a predator. At the time I thought all the other women were liars out to destroy him on behalf of the GOP. Now I believe them. Back then, I related to Monica. I also found him attractive, charismatic, and engaging. The power differential between them can't be ignored, but she knew what she was doing. Linda Tripp destroyed Monica Lewinsky.

I need to go back and read more on Paula Jones. I’ve forgotten a lot of what happened with her. At the time there were a lot of women coming out about affairs with a bunch of highly visual men and I get them mixed up. Like Gary Hart and Gennifer Flowers.

There is a clip of Lindsey Graham calling for impeachment of Clinton.
I guess he only cares about the misdeeds of Democrats.

I began watching it’s so interesting. I had just a few weeks ago finished slate’s slow burn on the Clinton impeachment. I really strongly dislike Tripp.

So I tuned in about halfway.
I will say Monica was treated HORRIBLY by Starr Tripp the press the fbi and Congress. And for that I feel really bad for her.

Watching now. I debated whether or not to watch because whenever I hear details of him and Monica I just cringe with embarrassment

The 90s don’t really seem that long ago but my gosh. The clothes. The hair.
Also I was listening to Slow Burn and in my head Ken Starr looked like the prosecutor in Making a Murderer.

If that’s the case, then she would have said that to Monica. Not led her down the garden path to stab her in the back. I believe she thought it was wrong and predatory against Monica but her motivations were a lot less pure than doing what she’d want done for her daughter.

The slow introduction of the internet killed me. I really can't believe I was in high school before the internet was a thing. And the big computers the press used.

I missed this when it first aired. Does anyone know of a way to watch it?

Thank you! I think that should work. I was in 8th grade during the impeachment scandal and my parents and many adults I remember being around were anti Clinton from the get go so it'll be interesting to watch this and get a better perspective for myself.
