For the purposes of this check-in, we will define extended breastfeeding as breastfeeding beyond 1 year. Questions are repeated and suggestions are appreciated! 1. How old is your LO? 2. How many times per day does your LO nurse? 3. Does your LO drink other milk besides breast milk? How did you introduce it? 4. What's the weirdest thing you've used breast milk for? If you were trying to cure an ailment with it, did it work? Pregnant & BFing Moms: How are you doing? Any issues with supply, pain, aversion? Questions for other moms? Tandem Nursing Moms: How are you doing? Any current challenges? Questions for other moms? GTKY: If you could shrink down any animal and carry it around in your pocket, which one would you choose?

1. How old is your LO? Will be 18m in like 5 days 2. How many times per day does your LO nurse? A million 3. Does your LO drink other milk besides breast milk? How did you introduce it? Not really. We give WCM or almond/coconut but maybe like once a week. We just put it in a cup or bottle. 4. What's the weirdest thing you've used breast milk for? If you were trying to cure an ailment with it, did it work? Scrapes and acne. I think it helped?
GTKY: If you could shrink down any animal and carry it around in your pocket, which one would you choose? Elephant!

1. DS is 14mo.
2. He nurses 2-3 times per day.
3. He drinks WCM with lunch. School started him on half BM/half WCM and he did swimmingly.
4. Probably not weird, but we do milk baths for a bad diaper rash. Works every time.
GTKY: A dog, for sure.

1. How old is your LO? 13 months 2. How many times per day does your LO nurse? 6-7 times 3. Does your LO drink other milk besides breast milk? How did you introduce it? No. I gave him a sippy cup with WCM the other weekend because he had a nursing strike (he bit me and I yelled by accident). He didn't like it lol. We will work more on it as he gets older. He does great with water in a sippy cup. 4. What's the weirdest thing you've used breast milk for? If you were trying to cure an ailment with it, did it work? I seriously thought about putting it on dh's sunburn earlier this year. He was hesitant. 🤷
GTKY: If you could shrink down any animal and carry it around in your pocket, which one would you choose? Giraffe!

1. 2.96 yo. Next check in she'll be 3! 2. 1-4 3. She'll drink chocolate almond milk occasionally. She has a dairy allergy and we've mostly just avoided. Hence why we still nurse so much. 4. I've definitely used it for cuts and rashes. I poured it in a little tub with water when she had HFM really bad as an infant and I think it helped.
QOTW: Maybe a panda?
DD broke her arm almost two weeks ago now and also had pneumonia and that has put a strain on our nursing relationship more than expected. The cast is almost her entire right arm and we have a hard time getting comfortable and the nagging is up a few notches.

I think we might be done bfing. G is 18 months and is way more interested in hanging with his sisters than nursing. Kind of sad but I think I'm ready to be done.
