My sister was like this before her birthday or other big events. She’d ‘make’ herself sick with stress and nerves, poor thing.

She only committed for like 3 hours and then she was fine. I think it was her GI stuff again though.

Poor kid. Cass gets like that when she's coming down with something. Both my kids are also assholes around their birthdays. It's like one big way to crush my hopes for the next age being easier but then they settle down in a few weeks.

Didn't get yo check in at all yesterday. We went to a party for one of Atticus's friends then I took my best friend out to a concert.

Now we're at FIL's and I am dying listening to him loudly chomp his food. 🤢

I just spent way too much at the aldi. I have been trying to stock up the pantry in the basement with staples and frozen essentials.

Aldi's $4 holiday candles smell really good, like yankee cake quality.

We’re on our way home from the cities. Did some furniture shopping and hopefully found one that fit down our stairs.

Going to my parents for dinner tonight and will stay for the first have of the Vikings/bears game. They are also having some friends over. It’ll probably be obnoxious because they are bears fans but their friends and dh and bil are Vikings fans. I’m sure my dad will get way too into it and drink too much. 🙄 good thing we plan on leaving at halftime.

We went to my parents house for breakfast today and C played with his cousin all morning then we went to a birthday party. Dh stayed home and job searched so I also sent him grocery shopping.

C was really good at the bday party. Night and day from last weekends. It was a 4yo party though so different kids. He keeps getting invited to younger kids parties because he is apparently friends with everyone. The 4yos treat him like a rockstar and he’s been the only bigger kid invited a few times. It’s cute and I’m glad he is modeling good behavior for them.

Just got done hanging Christmas lights. It’s 40 degrees, brr! I couldn’t get the hooks to stick so I didn’t get any around the garage door. Hopefully when it’s warmer later this week I can get them to stick. DH helped with the ones on the gutter because that’s too high for me. I’m going to start supper soon, chicken gnocchi soup. Sounds soo good.

So. Many. Kids. No real no-shows (aside from a little brother who was supposed to come after nap but didn't wake up) so we had 24 kids. They all played like champs - Chase showed no fear and Colin spent a lot of time playing dodgeball with the boys from his class. His little girl friend was his shadow for a bit, but she ditched him for the girls eventually. She was adorable.

Colin got so many presents... A few dupes will be returned or donated, plus I already stashed some away for later in the year when he's bored of all his toys. I also found 2 boxes from last year that we still haven't opened, LOL. We ordered him chunky colored pencils (he's obsessed with art lately) and a jumbo pack of magnetic letters so he'll have something to open on his birthday.

Now to focus on Thanksgiving!

Finally made it to the hotel. Long ass drive and Im tired. We will go swimming then figure out dinner.

SMIL sent us a text that Hs 2 cousins, whose parents both passed in the last month and half, are now not speaking, because one refuses to give the other any money from the estate. Should be a shit show and Im not looking forward to it.
