Playdoh and the like often gives me close to two hours of happy children. I sweep and dust-bust probably every 15 minutes, but it’s worth it.

Cadence got a lot of Play-Doh at her 3rd birthday. My niece then proceeded to mix it into one giant ball. I was def. twitching. Then I threw it all out and bought all new.

Dinner is cooking, laundry is going, lo’s homework done. I have a thanksgiving art project I’ve started but I don’t have the patience with LO to keep working on it. Just found out my bil is having surgery tomorrow for kidney stones.

Just checking in, work was insane today. On a positive note, I finally found my groove with this role at some point and my manager's manager called me today to give me kudos and to say keep up the good work. I do not think this matches his feelings about my work just a couple months ago, so I am really feeling relieved. Also he's well respected in the company so it feels extra good.
Anyhow we also had our Thanksgiving lunch at work today, which I organized, so that's kept me busy as well. It went really well and when I got stuck on a late call and had to ask DH to get the boys, I was able to offer up leftovers for dinner. Of course then it took a good hour to drive home, people were driving like they've never seen snow before. But it all worked out.
Not working out is our mouse trap setup - I saw a mouse scamper across my KITCHEN floor before my run this morning. It may be time to call in a professional.
Now we'll see what happens tomorrow. Schools dismissed 2 hours early today and I assume they'll start late tomorrow. I'm only working half a day, so I may or may not drive to the office.
Also add me to team do NOT mix play doh.

Everyone is feeling sorry for him. I’m like “he’s got a hotel room all to himself and I get up a mission times a night with the baby, feel sorry for me!”

Now I’m hearing of friends who are sleeping in their cars so I’m feeling less sorry for me. Average commute times home today seem to be about 4 hours to go 10 miles. DH left San Francisco at 6:50 and made it to Chicago so that seems pretty impressive now. I’m so glad this isn’t last November when he went there while I was 100 months pregnant.

I’m nuts about play doh and only let C play with it outside. Those little pieces go everywhere and my ocd can’t handle it. Same. When we get it I tend to hide it away and only let them play with it if they ask... and then only outside! Identical same.

We had a storm like that a few years ago with ice and people crawled home because you couldn't walk. Unfortunately it happens with the slightest shift in temp. we get at least one of these a year and last Friday was this year's.

Same! Keep the colors separate! I get so angry when I open those stupid containers and they're all the same ugly mix of colors They end up mixed here within minutes of opening new stuff. It drives me insane. And now I have to worry about the playdoh plus being mixed with the regular playdoh. I don’t even know wjst the difference is, but I KNOW they shouldn’t be mixed. Play doh plus is softer and goes through extruders more easily. I used to be ocd about play doh mixing but now I just shrug and walk away.

Thoughts? Like gone from your favorites or gone from the top of the n13 page? Maybe try completely closing out of tapa and restarting your phone.

My last day of training the new girl was tonight, hallelujah I can have my quiet time back. Work went fine except I’m pretty sure I had a fever the whole time I was there. I took my temp a little bit ago and it was 101.1. I don’t have time to be sick right now. I have a party to throw on Saturday.
A little sappy walk down memory lane: 5 years ago today (11/15) was my due date. In a few hours, at approx 2am is when my water broke. The following 25 hours was some of the longest in my life. Crazy to think that at this time 5 years ago I was bouncing on my ball singing “come baby come, baby, baby come come”. Ha.

kim22 thank you for thinking of me. Luckily, I had taken the day off to get the kids their flu shots and go car shopping, so I was home. Which worked out b/c S BFF's parents were stuck so we wound up taking their kids home too so they didn't have to sit at DC waiting. What a crazy storm. It took my friend 7 hours to get home. She works 20 miles from her house, a usual 40 minute commute. She left at 2:30 and got home after 9:30. Has your husband secured a flight yet?
