Morning! I'm feeling a bit better everyday, I even got 5 miles on the treadmill this morning with minimal coughing afterwards. I'm hoping to run outside tomorrow or Thursday, but I'm trying to be more conservative than normal. I also need to refill my steroid inhaler to try to mitigate any damage done so I can get through the rest of the winter without being at risk for further issues.

Anyhow Colin's party is in 5 days and I've been stressing because we're missing more responses than we've received. But this morning alone I've gotten 5 more yes's and 1 no, so I'm feeling a bit better. I expect a few more responses to trickle in and I know there will always be those who don't response, but... it just drives me nuts. I always RSVP even if it's a no, it's not that hard!

joelies, RSVPs are the bane of my existence. We had at least 60% of people not even respond. It's so annoying. How hard is it to send a text saying no? I was glad we ended up doing a joint party at the skating rink and rented out the whole place so it didn't matter as much, but it's hard to plan for food and favors when you don't know how many will be there.

For some reason I couldn't upload the picture to the photo hosting site. I will try again. She hates it and think of it as a "boy cut." MH is reminding her it'll grow out. I guess it'll be a lesson not to cut her hair again.

Morning all! We had a nice weekend, dh took yesterday off to hang out with me and the boys. I ordered a few Christmas presents and have a few solid ideas for others, and I got the boys and C matching Christmas pajamas for our elf to bring on thanksgiving.

Currently I’m sitting in front of the computer looking at places for dh to get a vasectomy. I need to call and make him an appointment.... but I can’t seem to pull the trigger. I think we’re done, but no more babies makes me sad. 😪

I just worked my butt off for 3 hours and deserve a break I think. It's pouring out so I can't go for a walk and I don't feel like talking to people so HIH break it is!

C actually slept until I woke him at 6:30 today. He is usually up at the butt crack of dawn so it was nice to wake him instead.

I've already been looking around. Barnes and Noble has this little book of sticker by number(you put the different stickers on their number to create the pictures) that I'm going to put in it. She had fun making an ornament at the movie party the other day, so I thought I could get some of those to decorate, various Christmas treats, hot chocolate. Pajamas are so hard for her, she's very specific about the cut of them and she refuses nightgowns, but I WILL find some dang it! LOL

I also need to find some small things for her advent calendar. She was not impressed last year by the repetition of some of the candy.

I think I told you all that we were thinking about getting another pet for the house. Our old man cat is pretty antisocial with the kids, and he seemed to do a bit better when our other cat was here (and even Tillie was around). I selfishly am not ready for a dog, but another cat seems like a good fit. We did a little research about shelters in the area, but nothing specific. Cut to last Thursday when one of the moms that I’ve become friendly with at gymnastics asked if I knew of anybody looking for a cat as she has to rehome hers (because she’s currently living in a rental her in-laws own while they house hunt and the ILs don’t want pets in the house).
She’s nine and just adorable. I like the mom a lot and i can tell she has taken good care of the cat in the past. I should find out in the next couple of days if she wants us to adopt her or she will find a foster for the cat in the time between now and when they finally find a house.

I know I want to do something for him when he wakes up, a special breakfast treat and something when we get home after school. What traditions do you all have for birthdays? Anything special you do? I need ideas.

We decorate the night before: Balloons, happy birthday banner, tacky centerpiece, themed paper goods,birthday hat.
I put out some smaller presents, candles in their breakfasts.

Party invites are out and 3 of the VIP friends have confirmed already, phew (granted I booked when I knew they could come, but still).

I agreed to get some free outdoor furniture on FB and now regretting this since I don't know how I will get it in the car and probably will require two trips in the dark tonight. And we still have a ton to pack, why is this so hard for me.. I may be taking all of next week off to make this work.

guster, she is beautiful. I do find it odd that her family she rents from wont let her have the cat. It makes the cynic in me wonder if the cat has litterbox problems. Unless there is a severe allergy that the IL's have, it just seems odd they would ask her to part with a 9yo cat.

I always like to sneak in and put balloons in bed with N before she wakes up. She thinks it’s hilarious. And I try to remember to get donuts and put a candle in one to sing happy birthday.

She actually has two . She was able to get the other adopted (I was guessing because it’s a much younger cat.)
But I’m thankful that you brought that up. Next time we talk, I will absolutely ask her some more specific litter box like questions. Thanks!

I'm at work. Leaving early today for dress rehearsal for our inner city Nutcracker. It's at an outdoor theater and it's currently 39 outside. Awesome.
