dashook thank you! I’ll be AMA when he’s born so I guess that’s why! Barely AMA like by a month! I’ll really be a dinosaur when we try for number 2! lol Lol! It’s crazy to think about. I am one of the youngest in my social/professional circles having babies and so many of my friends have had them at 39, 40, 41 that it just seems so normal to me. I’m too lazy to look it up right now but I think I read something about how in Canada AMA is considered 40 and above. Things are just so different now than even 25 years ago with medical advances and life expectancies, that it seems like our biology is keeping up.

Hopefully for your sakes I will be all alone in my gestational diabetes diagnosis on our BMB but if anyone needs someone to talk to, I'm highly experienced. ;p Sorry for all those experiencing complications lately! k, you're having a super rough week, I'm sorry. Hope it improves dramatically. dashook, will be thinking of you and hope the pre-op goes well!

Yesterday/last night we got 8" of snow! Early dismissal and then a delay today for ds1. Had my check up this morning. I am 33w5d and am measuring 36w 😟. I'll have a growth ultrasound next week. "This might be the biggest of your babies!" is not something I was hoping to hear today from my OB. Other boys were 6lbs 13oz and 7lbs 7oz so fairly normal-sized.

tngrl3, A private room would be great! I'd try sleeping it off, personally. As soon as nausea hits, it's my only solution lol

I'm pretty sure I failed my 3 hr. I missed a call from the OB office cause I left my phone home when i walked to pick DS up from school. And they didn't leave a message. But my results aren't on the patient portal and if things are normal results show up right away.

Of course they want me to come in a see the NO that does the diabetes education but she only has one slot available next week due to the holiday and I'm working and same thing the next wekk. I have my regular OB visit the 30th so I'm trying to get them to just call in testing supplies and keep a lot too then. I mean I had GD last time and I'm a PA so I know what I need to do.

tngrl3 oh I'm sorry. Glad that you know what you're doing though, and seems like they should let you just wait on the education!

Went in to get my glucose test out of the way first thing this AM and there was already a room full of people waiting to get lab work done! Seriously, got there 5 min after they opened -.- But at least they were quick. Got stuck with orange and I could barely choke it down but at least I didn't get sick like I did with DS2.

thelittleredm yay for getting it over with! Went to go my glucose test and didn't get out of the house on time... When they called my name it was 55 minutes until they close so I have to come back. Totally my fault but still annoying! I went to Target instead to pick up my free registry gift bag and buy a couple items for the hospital go bag...DH has been really gung ho about getting it packed so it's done except for maybe 2 items for me and then baby stuff that I'm waiting on the shower for!

tngrl3 ugh I'm really sorry! I'm waiting for my results right now. Booked our hospital tour this morning. I couldn't get a weekend until a month before my due date but that should be okay I think. We also ordered a crib yesterday, so I feel like we are finally making some progress to getting ready for this baby!

strawberrykiki, With DS1, I didn't realize that birth classes were scheduled. I assumed they just ran all the time because hospital tours happened every week. My classes finished up 1.5 weeks before DS1 arrived and my instructor was always surprised to see me at class toward the end lol

tngrl3 I'm sorry about your test results, i'm glad you have experience though, not glad obviously but i'm sure it helps that you know what to do. Before my test I lurked so many GD threads to try and get some knowledge in case I failed. It was something I had never even heard of before being pregnant. Now our next test is the strep test? Also one I'd never heard of and need to look up. Why doesn't anyone tell you these things before TTC?!

I had my test this morning. I got the orange and I didn’t think it was too bad. It wasn’t as horrible as some people have told me. They said it’ll be a week for the results. I had an ultrasound too because of my age. They make me feel like a dinosaur! I’m 34! 😬 I’m also 34! But the extra ultrasounds I’ve been getting are only because of my eleventy million issues, not age. Technically you’re not AMA until 35 (not that that’s even old!) so don’t let them get you down! Also in the 34 club but I don't turn 35 until June. Barely slipped by...

I turn 35 next August.
