enchanted - I can't believe he'll be 4 next week! And it sounds like you have two dare devils on your hands Sorry FIL is putting a damper on your vacation. Age: 4 Milestones: Nothing new to report. Challenges: Bedtime. It's MH's fault really. He's allowed J 5 minutes of screen time as a treat here-and-there instead of reading. I HATE this, but allowed it because it's something she and Daddy get to do together while I get 5 minutes of quiet (or wash my face or put the baby to bed or whatever LOL). But now it's being abused and he's giving in. Ugh... I'm going to have to be the Bad Guy soon. Funny/cute stories: I asked her what she loved most about Daddy and she said, "His farts!" Then, she smelled his armpits and said, "Ewww, Daddy. I think your farts went up there." I lauuuuughed! MH... not so much LOL How are you? I'm... okay. Dealing with some stuff, but I'm doing all right. Anything else? There was a huge rainbow at our house yesterday! It was so bright and vivid. Every time I see one I kind of tear up inside. It's a weird, instant reaction. IDK probably lots of reasons. QOTW: I'm not a big fan of summer honestly - me and the heat don't agree. But I do love wading in the water at my parents' house. They live right on the water, so we kayak and swim. It's probably J's favorite activity, too. She looooves the water.

Age: 13 months
Milestones: She's learned how to blow and is getting better about getting off the couch and bed feet first.
Challenges: So many bumps and bruises! She wants to try everything and climb and whatever, but man.
Funny/cute stories: I blew in Ridley's face because she was fussy and figured she would copy me (blowing is a new skill). Well she did. But her hand was in her mouth so she just ended up blowing spit in my face. 😑
How are you? Meh. Today is the anniversary of the day I found out that my Jan14 baby was dead, likely due to a severe neural tube defect, and I had my d&c.
QOTW: Tomorrow is the summer solstice; what is your favorite summer activity? What about your kid(s)? Favorite summertime activity is finding a comfortable spot with adequate air conditioning and not leaving until fall.

Age: 2.5 years
Milestones: Nothing really new this week.
Challenges: Very watery diarrhea this week...withholding dairy to see if that helps. No other symptoms.
Funny/cute stories: I nursed D until he was 4 months. Out of nowhere the other day he sat on my lap and said,"I want my milk. Let me see your boobies." NO idea where that came from.
How are you? CD 1. 3rd failed medicated/trigger cycle. I guess IUI is next. If I can get H on board.
Anything else? Just glad it's summer!
QOTW: Tomorrow is the summer solstice; what is your favorite summer activity? What about your kid? My fave activity is sitting outside with a few good cocktails! My son's current fave activity is chasing my friend's pig around the farm.

eliz77, I'm sorry about CD1 LED, ((hugs)) oldbaylover1024, there was a vivid rainbow here yesterday too. Somehow DS1 remembers me saying (to H) "everything is going to be okay" when we saw a rainbow when I was pg with DS2. He told me that yesterday when I got them out of bed to show them the rainbow. enchanted, I'm sorry your FIL sucks, but I'm glad the rest of your vacation was amazing!

Age: 2.5
Milestones: Just more new words. I feel like he's gone through a major cognitive leap as well.
Challenges: He is insanely high energy. Most of the time, it's great because he's always helping and curious at home, but lately taking him in public is rough if we have a time we have to sit still. H has been working more than normal, which means DS2 has to come to DS1's ninja class and speech appointments. He... is not patient.
Funny/cute stories: I took him to my grandma's today. He's never the only grandkid around (there's always at least DS1), so he was loving all the attention and being a little ham.
Lately, when he gets frustrated, he yells "ugh!" and puts his hands on his head. It's so cute, it's all I can do to not laugh and make him madder.
How are you? Good! I hit my goal weight this week. I now weigh less than I did before I got pregnant with DS1 (before I started having as many problems with PCOS). I could comfortably lose another 40 lb, but this was my (personal) marker for considering WLS a success.
Anything else?
QOTW: Tomorrow is the summer solstice; what is your favorite summer activity? What about your kid(s)? I hate to be hot, but I love all the outside time. H and I like to sit outside and have a glass of wine after bedtime this time of year. I also really like getting up early to go hiking or for a run. It definitely sets the tone for the rest of my day.
The boys (and the puppy!) love the sprinkler. I've set it up so that the run-off goes into my garden so I don't feel guilty about letting them do it so often. In turn, my garden looks amazing this year!

How are you? Doing okay
Anything else? Nope

Age: A is 4
Milestones: None this week.
Challenges: he is having some anger and been having a lot more trouble with his sensory processing. I'm sure once things settle down he will be doing better.
Funny/cute stories: I took him out on a mommy and A night for some one and one time and we had a great time. I have a billion cute stories from it, but this is one of my favorites. We went to Barnes and Noble and I let him pick a book. It was getting dark by the time we headed home from getting a milkshake and he wanted to look at his book more so he picked up H's iPod and used it as a book light. I love that kid, he takes after me.
How are you? Very tired and worn, I'm looking forward to when I can have a weekend free to use my massage gift certificate.
Anything else? Not much.
QOTW: Tomorrow is the summer solstice; what is your favorite summer activity? What about your kid(s): I like swimming as do the kids.

Age: R is 2
Milestones: he is getting very good at recognizing, naming and sorting colors.
Challenges: He had his barium swallow study today and he is aspirating and having trouble with his eating. We will have to adjust what and how he eats for now and get a referral for an oral therapist.
Funny/cute stories: he is just amazingly playful. His favorite game is hide or peek a boo. I have an apron hanging on a hook and he hid behind it and then peeked around and said in his adorable voice "I see you". So cute!
How are you? Same as above lol.
Anything else? Not much.
QOTW: Tomorrow is the summer solstice; what is your favorite summer activity? What about your kid(s)? Swimming.
