Getting my wisdom teeth out qualifies as an up and a down I think.
Another down is we cancelled our plans to go stay in Quebec City for a few days next weekend.
The up is we are going to one of my cousin/classmate's wedding!
This weekend... I am relaxing and recovering. DH is at our church helping plant some trees along the lane. I will pry catch up in DS's baby book.

Ups:
My mom and brother are coming to visit for the night.
L is lovvvviinnnggg solids. Especially strawberries, blueberries, and eggs.
Downs:
L has croup. Womp.
Sleep training woes. H and I can’t agree on what to do and it’s really stressing me out.
Weekend: We were supposed to go to our friends’ DD’s first birthday party today, but with not with this sickness. H will stay home with L tonight while me, my mom, and brother go see A Star is Born. I’m excited! We were also supposed to go to dinner at another friend’s tomorrow night but we probably won’t end up doing that if L is still feeling yucky.

Good I think. Surgeon said one was hard to get out, but apparently I just sat quietly for them and didn't say anything weird when I was waking up. I remember thinking that I was thinking very clearly lol 😂. Yesterday my mouth was miserable but today it's under control. Thanks for asking.

Ups: I've been sleeping like a log lately and waking up refreshed!
My husband thinks his job interviews (he had 2 over the last 2 weeks) went well, so our fingers are crossed for an offer in the coming weeks.
Downs: I'm supposed to be doing some reading to slowly prepare to go back to school in May next year, but I still have no motivation to do it.
I have an ingrown toenail. I feel like every little weird thing that can possibly go wrong with my body is going wrong these days 😒
Weekend plans: we took the kids to a new coffee shop this morning. It was still dark when we left home so we got to watch the sunrise while having breakfast.
We're having a date tonight! My parents are going to do bedtime for the kids and we're going out for dinner, then to cirque du soleil.
Tomorrow we're having my parents over for Sunday dinner, as usual. Not sure what I'm making for dinner but dessert will be chocolate cheesecake.

Up:. We went out with friends last night. We had a blast.
Up: we're going apple picking in a bit which hopefully means apple cider donuts
Down:. No yoga or buti this weekend
Down: E has been a DISASTER. We need to get back to our normally scheduled bedtimes.
I pretty much covered my weekend plans above.

Down: I’m feeling a little homesick. It was easier when DD wasn’t in school... we could go back to visit more often. We’re planning on going back home for Christmas though.
Down: I decided that studying and reviewing my music classes was a better use of my time than working on my Praxis 1 stuff right now. I forgot how much of a bore music history is. And I’m bummed that I threw out all of my notes when I was setting up J’s bedroom. I found them and wasn’t actually expecting to need them again.
Up: DD had a much better week at school this week compared to last week! Plus she had a Halloween party and it was nice to get a chance to talk to her classmates moms.
Up: I have my happy baby back! J’s teeth both are in and he’s back to normal.
Not a lot of plans this weekend. Took DD to a therapist today...I’m trying to get ahead of some behavior she’s been showing. Then we went to the Children’s Museum after. Tomorrow we really need to go grocery shopping and help DD with a school project. She came home with a paper turkey and needs to disguise him so he won’t get eaten for Thanksgiving. We’re turning him into a teenage mutant ninja turkey.

clementine I’m sorry you and H are having trouble deciding, would he be open to a sleep consultant? They are a god send and it’s their job to come up with a plan that you both are happy with. Money well spent for us with DS1. And wasn’t expensive at all.

I’m having trouble looking past my downs at the moment. The no house have to live at MIL’s thing.
I guess an up is that the agents in the area we are looking in are really doing a lot to help us. We might have a house to look at this week, that on paper so far seems it might fit the bill so 🤞🏻
An up down is that I’ve been watching videos of DS1 from one year ago and he has grown up so so much where did my little bubba go?

alwayscheese glad things at the dentist went well nevertoomanyshoes i hope it ends up being your house! downs: dd1 has been amping up the tantrums lately and we’re just really at a loss on how to handle them. my mom thinks it’s her finally adjusting to having a sister but i don’t know. sleep. i just want like a 5 hour chunk. we did cio the first time around and i was all about doing it this time, but i’m terrified that she’ll wake up her sister and i just don’t want to deal with it. ups: i have plans to get together with a friend after bedtime this week. we started a two person book club and we’re going to talk about something besides our kids i have a list started for christmas gifts. this is the most organized i’ve been in years. i am determined to get it done before december.

polson E has been tantruming more too and also a lot rougher with N. I'm hoping some of it is Halloween related and will go away quickly. But if you figure anything out, please share!

polson chances are pretty good that your older daughter will sleep through any crying. I was so worried about that, too, but when we let N cry middle of the night my son never stirred or made a peep.

Money well spent for us with DS1. And wasn’t expensive at all. We actually have a phone consultation for Monday night! Our neighbors recommended their sleep consultant, so we’re going to try it out. At this point, I will spend $$$ for something that works.

I'm late to this but I still have ups and downs.
Ups: I bought a car this weekend! A Honda Pilot in my favorite pretty green color. Looking forward to being able to carpool DS's friends and also go away for the weekend without taking two cars now that we have the baby. Also I snagged a great sale on Frye boots at Nordstrom Rack and they are sooo pretty.
Downs: The baby and I both have a cold. And I have an insane work week ahead of me. Ugh.

I’m late too but definitely have some venting I need to do. I’m actually trying to find an “up.”
Down: we had a frustrating weekend here. The baby had been super fussy for like a week straight. We think he is teething but so far nothing.
Down: work has been...a lot. One of my good friends is also someone I supervise. I feel like she is taking advantage of our friendship to not do good work for me. I called her out on something last week and she got super mad and turned it around and blamed me, accusing me of setting her up for failure. I’ve talked it through with several other people who assured me it’s her, not me, and I handled it correctly. I’m thinking I may need to step back and I’m super bummed because we have so much in common. Oh, also work is about to get super busy for the next month.
Up: DS1’s speech has been improving so much since he started preschool. We still haven’t gotten the official word of whether he qualifies for speech yet (although she told us she “thinks” he does) but just being in school has helped him dramatically.
Up: I’m so excited we are past Halloween and can start looking toward Christmas. DS1 is so excited this year! I love this time of the year.
