Taitai I’m glad there house stay would be too long for you all and that she’s humoring you with the parenting stuff for the rest of her stay. I am terrible with confrontation amount friends but for the sake of your house I know it was necessary. Maybe mom will enjoy her kid sleeping longer hours and continue 🤷♀️ doodlemommy we do a Operation Christmas boxes through the girls’ daycare and DD1 is always the same way. Of course the 3 year old boy would want an Elsa toothbrush 😬 I’m usually able to convince her otherwise 99% of the time curmudgeon bring on the holidays!!!! Hope the gingerbread house turned out well 😁 duskymonkey all that Halloween candy because my parenting bribes for quite a while. Cleaned up playroom while I cooked dinner? Have a smarties! Standing by door with shoes on, ready for school - have a tootsie roll! I don’t keep it up indefinitely but I’m not above it during the long days without H right now either. August Blooms glad the work trip went well! I’m sure everyone is happy to have mom back and returning to normal.

Anyone else’s babies up super early with daylight savings time?!?!
DD1 was 5:00am and DD2 was 5:50. I kept DD1 in bed till we heard her sister and now we’re watching Mickey Mouse till I can keep my eyes open. I could not fall asleep last night and it was almost 1:00am before I could settle which is so unlike me.
Today is just hanging out at the house and getting ready for the week ahead. I need to throw something in the crockpot and fold some laundry but otherwise most big chores are done so I’m hoping it’s a lazy Sunday!

DLST can suck it. So unnecessary.
Thankfully E was up at her normal time (6:30 adjusted for dlst) but goodness now I feel all a mess about nap times and shit. I think I'm going to try shoving it back 15 or 30 minutes and gradually adjusting to the new time.

We made 200 dumplings with our friends tonight. Omg. I’m going to explode.
*we didn’t eat all of them...but probably half of them?....😬😬😬
I also hate daylight savings time. Glad they don’t do it here.

DS woke to at 4,40 new time 😭 That’s even earlier than normal even considering dlst. He normally wakes up around 6:30. We made him stay in bed and he did fall back asleep thankfully. And we have breakfast at church today so he has to have a carrier nap this morning 😬 Hopefully he takes a good afternoon nap and isn’t a total mess by bedtime

DS1 woke up around 4 because he was scared. So he and H switched spots and he slept with me until 5:30 when he decided he was up for the day.
Now DS is drawing pictures of an alarm keypad and rooms with lasers because he says we need a security system in case bad guys try to break in. I don’t know where he got this from and we live in a very safe area.

doodlemommy we do OCC shoe boxes, too. I think DS1 will finally understand this year and I'm looking forward to doing it with him. Football season is over. We lost to the #1 ranked team in the state friday night. We were really good this year and ranked #10, but just couldn't stop the other team. MIL kept the boys and FIL and I went to the game. Tough loss. But, I have my husband back and that's nice. Yesterday I went to my hometown because we hosted a baby shower for my BFF. I went by myself and it was SO great to have a day away. I pumped once and made it back in time for LO's bedtime. Both boys (well, all 3 😂 ) were really glad to see me when I got home. Such mixed emotions, super ready for a day away but also miss them and it feels so good to get those hugs when you walk in the door. I don't see my best friends nearly enough (we're spread across the state) and seeing them did my heart good.

August Blooms glad your trip went well and you’re back home with the family. Taitai yummm to the dumplings! I haven’t made them in a loooonnngg time...haven’t the time. Hope you froze the other half. Handy to have when you’re busy and makes a quick meal. Good to hear you’re at least enjoying time with your friend in spite of all that’s happening. CoachTsWife glad you had time to yourself and be with BFF. I miss my BFFs, they’re spread out all over the world 😭

DS’ play date didn’t happen this weekend but that was alright with me. Hubs took a break from yard work so this weekend we actually spent some well deserved family quality time together at home and it was so nice. DS was as well behaved as a 4 yr old can so we got to watch a movie and that made him happy. Other than usual house chores I did nothing and it was glorious. Tomorrow is going to suck cos lil fella has his booster flu shot and I didn’t think of dlst when the appt. was made that it’s smack in the middle of his nap schedule cos he DGAF about dlst. 🤦🏻♀️🤷🏻♀️ Now I need to go to bed before one of the kids wake up for no reason.

We made our own dough and everything. They were sooooo friggin good.

The only thing I can think of to spur this sudden fear is that stupid haunted house and the chainsaw guy. Now any loud, constant noise is associated with that. Leaf blowers, lawn mowers, motor cycles. 😣

IL’s leave Wednesday, it’s not soon enough. I have been up since 4am worked my 10hr day, picked up the kids from daycare and came home just after 5pm to my MIL asking if I can make enchiladas. Because of course dinner wasn’t made. Baby has been nursing since I ran upstairs 10 minutes later so I’m upstairs hiding. Weaning didn’t happen and she’s nursing like a newborn when she sees’s me.
