haleyscott I’m always paranoid of comments like that too but I’ve decided everyone can just suck it, if they have nasty thoughts they’re from their own heads not mine. Being thrilled to experience a boy has nothing to do with the depth of my love and joy for having daughters. I’m the opposite of feminine in my tastes so all the “boy” stuff is really appealing to me, and since it’s a third kid no one is buying us anything, so if I’m buying it you’re darn right I’m picking the stuff I like! I can imagine after two boys it’s really fun to indulge in some feminine stuff especially if you happen to lean more that way in your personal style. Don’t let worrying about what others might think (and they might not even be thinking it!) stop you from having fun.

And little boy stuff is super cute too. I’ve never had an issue finding adorable clothes for my boys!

It’s funny, now that I feel free to just enjoy it all, I’m finding the girly-girl stuff more cute than ever. It already makes me nostalgic and we’re still in the thick of it!

Can someone please tell me I’m being ridiculous? I am buying a crib off a friend bc it’s white and will match our nursery theme.. it’s a Jenny Lind. Buuut I have a crib I used for both of my boys and now I’m feeling guilty for not using it this time. It’s silly to feel guilty, right? I’ve shed a few tears since deciding to do this. I loved our crib but I want to get this one. I also don’t want people thinking I’m getting a different one bc she’s a girl. Hormones. Help. Can you donate your crib to a local pregnancy center? That way it's going to be used?

I just got my baby welcome box from Amazon! Psa for those who don't know about it, you just have to make a registry on Amazon and complete their checklist and purchase $10 from it and they'll send you one.
I got a onesie, a swaddleme, two kinds of bottles, a pack of huggies wipes, pacifiers, a few seventh gen diapers and wipes and some j&j and cetaphil samples. For free!

What are everyone thankgiving plans? Anything you are really looking forward to? We're doing lunch with my family at my grandma's and then "dinner" with ILs. I use quotes because MIL is vegan and doesn't really prepare a meal, we usually just have snacks and spend time over there. I'm. So. Excited. For. All. The. Food. Then Friday we'll go cut down our Christmas tree and I love that tradition.

My box was the exact same as yours. I'm a little annoyed because they didn't include stuff for multiples. I think I also got a pacifier? I was happy to see the one bottle was the kind we use, Tommee Tippee. I will say overall my box this time was much better than the one I got for my DD two years ago. That box was mostly coupons which were for stuff I didn't plan on buying in those particular brands. Then the next week my friend ordered a box and she got a much better one, so it's hit and miss.

Oh dang that's weird they didn't contribute for multiples. I've heard good and bad stories of the boxes too, so I was happy with what I got!

grover, when you set up your registry is there a way to let Amazon know it's multiples? I haven't done a registry here yet (just a wishlist), but I'm planning on it!

I can’t get my Amazon box until I complete the checklist, but it keeps telling me I need to add outlet covers. I’ve added 4 different types, and it still is saying I need to add one. I just had to shut Amazon down because I was about to go pregnant rage on it. Goddamn it, technology!

Did you try that?

I’m looking at dressers both with and without a changing tray on top, any thoughts? Not sure how useful they are.

I’m looking at dressers both with and without a changing tray on top, any thoughts? Not sure how useful they are. I did not have one for my first baby always changed her on the floor because we had a tall dresser for her. I like having a waist high dresser so i could change my son before he got too mobile without doing it on the ground. I used the 2 bottom drawers for clothes and the top drawer for diaper storage which i liked a lot. I would not get a seperate changing table only over a dresser with changing table but maybe a 3 drawer dresser with one of those curved changing pads to set on top I could see myself preferring. I did like how secure I felt my son with the built in changing area. But as my kids get older it not used.

I’m looking at dressers both with and without a changing tray on top, any thoughts? Not sure how useful they are. We just put a changing pad on top of our (waist high/6 drawer) dresser. I wanted the dresser to grow with her and didn't see a need for a separate changing table or the railings on top to hold the pad in place. You're never leaving baby unattended on it anyways so there's not much opportunity for them to fall off.

I always changed DD on the floor. We had a changing table, I just never felt the need to use it.

We had a dresser with a changing pad on top. I liked that the diapers/wipes were kept in a drawer right below, and fresh clothes below that (in case of blow outs, etc.) Then once DD was bigger, we got rid of the pad (and she still uses the dresser) and did the floor (like from age 2 until 2.5 when she potty trained).

I ended up changing her on the changing table 90% of the time while we were home. Just a personal preference, I guess, because I know people who preferred to change on the floor.

Ugh well I am back to nauseous and no appetite. So either I do still have “morning” sickness or the romaine I accidentally ate yesterday is trying to kill me.
I worked really hard to get pregnant, but I sure don’t enjoy being pregnant.
