OB appointment went well. Blood pressure was beautiful. Baby sounded good, although he swam away from the Doppler. lol. I do have to keep the OB posted on the lopsided swelling. If it gets worse and stays worse with consistent pain, she’ll order an ultrasound to rule out DVT. She’s not overly concerned at this time, but she’s open to checking it should we feel it’s warranted.
I declined a cervix check. If he’s not here by next week’s appointment, maybe I’ll let them check again. We’ll see.

Yay for more babies!!!
F's poop strike turned into some epic blowouts yesterday. I'll spare you many of the details but it involved multiple sink rinse offs and pajama changes throughout the day.

Well I called this morning and they wanted me to come in. I was having frequent contractions so they did a cervical check and I was closed but short. So they gave me some IV fluids and had me stay for a 2 hours and then checked me again. No change so they freed me ...thank goodness! The contractions did die down in frequency once i was hydrated so I have to do a better job at staying hydrated at home.
Also cervical checks are NOT fun. Holy painful.

We’re finally home from the hospital (induction was last Fri, baby born early Sat) because my blood pressure started getting too high. Baby was discharged on Mon but we both stayed until today.
Now, DD2’s bilirubin is too high so we started using a bili blanket.
I’m so, so happy to be home but would like life to calm down a bit!

Can I ask a *unicorn* type question for those who have already had their babies?
With my first I had bled for almost the entire 6 weeks, this time around by 2 weeks pp I was down to super light and now it’s almost non-existent, like I don’t need to wear a pad. Is this normal? Or should I be concerned?

Or should I be concerned? You’re describing my experiences in reverse 😅. The minimal bleeding you’re having now is how it was for me with DS1. I never asked the doctor about it or anything but I didn’t have any problems/issues.

Or should I be concerned? I have had relatively light bleeding this time around. With DS2 I had light bleeding too. I could probably get away with just a panty liner usually. I still have the occasional gush of blood though even now at over 2 weeks PP.

Diordra how are you feeling c section post op wise? Not bad. The cramping this time is way worse than I remember with DD1 though. My actual incision area hasn’t hurt, just the cramps. You?

My cramping is worse too but only when I’m feeding him. My incision area hurts too. But today is a little better all around and we are going home around dinner time so I’m very happy about that.
