I’ve been so MIA adjusting to life with a newborn & a 3.5 year old. We all go to bed around 8pm Lol Then during the day I have definitely been embracing the “sleep when the baby sleeps” mentality.
Congrats to everyone who has had their babies!!💕

So I’ve been having light contractions since yesterday and now I have the stomach bug that was going around DS daycare. FML. I have a NST scheduled for tomorrow AM so we will see how it goes...
Also I am pissed at DH right now. He’s honestly been awesome taking care of me and making things easier on me this whole pregnancy but now that I have the stomach bug he can’t rearrange his schedule to be home 🙄. Thankfully my mom is coming over but still...

jense927 fx it passes quickly! When I had the stomach bug while pregnant the OB recommended Gatorade if I could keep it down— maybe your mom or YH can pick some up for you!

MOTN I was getting frustrated that DS wouldn’t latch.
Realized I was holding him upside down & trying to feed his ear.
Just a little tired over here.

Omg guys the lightening crotch. I CANNOT Commiseration. I don’t know if it’s lightening crotch or symphosis pubis dysfunction, but the pain is real. It took awhile to get out of bed this morning because my groin area was in so much pain.

OMG I need to vent.
H had his vasectomy yesterday evening and they told him he had to lay down in bed for 48 hours. Told him no taking care of the baby, no diaper changes, only getting up to eat, drink, and go to the bathroom. Everything I have read said vasectomies are NBD especially the no incision ones like he had.
He is taking this super seriously and has been in bed sleeping for 18 hours! I went in and asked him if he was at least planning on getting up to get himself something to eat and drink. Apparently he expected me to be taking care of him and a newborn!!! Hell no! If I had known this was how it was going to be I would have told him to reschedule.
Both older boys will be here tomorrow and I won't have any help at all because he believes he can't even sit up on the couch.
Wish me luck solo parenting 3 kids all day tomorrow I guess. I am so livid and of course weepy because of post pregnancy hormones.

sarcaztic10 I'll help you bury the body. Just let me know where to show up with a shovel.

I am like a lame duck at work. My coverage person is doing all my daily tasks and I am her help desk. This would be fine but I really need to not then spend my time online shopping as we have very little extra money with me going on leave. I am trying to distract myself with Bakeoff on Netflix.

sarcaztic10 I'll help you bury the body. Just let me know where to show up with a shovel. Just talked to him and he says he hasn't even taken any pain meds for 8 hours and says he feels fine but still won't get up out of bed even to just move to the couch. I am ready to strangle him.

sarcaztic10 I feel like MH would be the same way. It’s like the extreme version of man cold. Men can be such babies. I hope he can step it up and the kids are well behaved for you tomorrow.

Yikes sarcaztic10. I would have...less than zero patience for that nonsense. You are a much more kind wife than I would be.

The witching hour (aka 3-4 hours) is no joke, you guys. Note that he only slept for like 5 min and is now screaming hysterically while I pace around the kitchen. Rose cider is quite tasty, though.

charlotte LOL! He did decide to get up today and help out. Says he isn't in pain at all and attributes that to sleeping for 18 hours straight after the procedure. 🙄

I see I’ve missed a lot! Congrats to moar babies! 🍾
Add me to the baby wearing in order to get shit done club. My toddler is not a fan of his baby brother at all, so it also keeps them separated.

Officially 37 weeks. I’d like dude to vacate the premises, but maybe next week... when H is home from hunting (yay, rifle season 🙄). If I go into labor and he’s in the woods, I will not be amused.
We made major progress on the house. Nursery is done. DD’s bedroom is done (complete with a big girl bedroom set). Master bedroom is done. Thank you cards are ready to be mailed on Friday. Hospital bag is ready and probably filled with too much stuff. Disability paperwork is on standby.
Only major things are a go-bag for DD and taking bottles over to my step-mom’s house on Friday. She has a dishwasher. I don’t feel like standing at my sink to wash a bunch of bottles. Haha. So for an initial cleaning, I’m heading over there.
So much adulting!

M had an appointment with the pediatrician to see if we can get him off his supplemental oxygen - he held his oxygen saturations well for about 30 minutes, so we scheduled an overnight test with our home health company. They don't have availability to do it until next Wednesday because of the holiday. I wish it could be quicker, but it's probably good to give his lungs even more time to heal before we test it. If we could get rid of this silly cord I'd be so ecstatic!
He's gaining weight like crazy though...he was 8lbs even last week, this week he was 9lb 4oz. No wonder I'm hungry all the time!

Is anyone's big kid(s) really struggling with the transition? I swear the only word W has said since we came home last week is "no." And his listening is basically non-existent. Coupled with an newborn that I'm really struggling to try and nurse and isn't doing so hot in the weight gain department, our first week home has been... rough.
