I’m supposed to switch to a prenatal vitamin with iron. Does anyone have recommendations for a specific type?

notagoddess I've been taking Rainbow Light since last fall. It caused the least constipation of any brand I tried in ten years. It's quite natural so in careful to keep the cotton packing over them in the package to prevent oxidation. I take the version without DHEA.

sunshiney, do Rainbow Light vitamins have iron? I thought they didn't. I've heard good things about them though.

The boys loved going out tonight! DS1 was his favorite red Power Ranger and DS2 wore DS1's old pony costume. We buckled my mom's dog's collars together to make a belt around DS2 and attached a reflective leash to it so he couldn't run off. It was effective lol Also, I've given up on getting good pics with both boys looking at the camera...

thelittleredm they look so cute! Power rangers is still a thing?? My brother and I loved Power rangers when we were kids! We handed out candy but we didn’t have many kids. We live in a huge neighborhood too so that was kind of surprising.

We had a blast last night. DD went as Neytiri from Avatar. She got a lot of complements on her costume and ended with a bucket full of candy. We walked at least 1.5 miles. I’m still tired and sore but it was worth it!

strawberrykiki, Still a thing and almost nothing has changed, bad acting included lol It was pretty quiet around my parents neighborhood and it used to never be. I'm thinking all the trunk or treat events and similar things have played a role in the last few years, not to mention all the scare stories over drugs being passed out for free to kids that the news spreads like wildfire in the week leading up to the holiday.

Viability today! Cannot believe we're only 16 weeks out from this LO. Congrats on viability!!! AFM -Its blowing my mind to be in single digits! I just got pre registered with my hospital. I still haven't taken any classes but i'm going to sign up today. We also got our corner changing table put together last night. I'm so excited about it. It was my most coveted item.

Thank you thelittleredm I started planning it before we found out LO was a boy. I love the woodland too but part of me wishes we had gone with robots or space themed. We've kind of blended both space and woodland which I think is really cool

Congrats k and thelittleredm! Foxy that's so cute! We're going more with colors than a theme but we love space and robots so I'm choosing soft pastel nursery versions of those fabrics for baby sewing projects.

Tonight I've been having what feels like a continuous Braxton Hicks tightening, like I'll get the 2-3 minutes of a solid cramp but then it feels tight for maybe 10-20 min after and then just really sore. Felt what felt like deep low pressure too and got myself worried for a bit but it's calming down. Is this normal? Had a really intense round ligament pull last night so wonder if it's related?

sunshiney, My BH act that way most of the time, especially if I'm dehydrated. Obviously, things differ from person to person but in my experience, it's just shitty BH. If it helps, labor contractions won't stay hard that long. Put your feet up, drink a bunch of water, and try getting a lottle more rest tonight. If it persists tomorrow or you're still concerned, you can always call your doctor's office and speak to a nurse

k, That's awesome!! I'm so dreading about taking it. The first time I did it, it was gross but didn't make me feel bad. Second time? Got so sick and dizzy. It was awful. I'm thankful I've never had to do the 3hr.

sunshiney my BH have felt the same as what you describe. I told my Dr about it and she just nodded like I said I was tired. 😆 2 nights ago I had awful Charlie horses. I took magnesium last night which always seems to help.

I'm getting what I think are BH a few times a day. At first I thought it was the baby turning around, but I think she's too small still to put that much pressure on my uterus.
Anyway -- I hope they prepare me for labor. Last time, my cervix was completely closed, firm and high the day I went into labor. It then took what felt like forever!

Ooooh I need to get our flu shots. I should probably call the pediatrician's office to see if the boys are due or if I did theirs earlier this year. H and I are both due for them, though. I think.

I haven’t had a single BH yet. Maybe they’re coming in the third trimester?
I’ve been listening to the birth hour podcast everyday and this mornings was really rough. I’m not sure if it’s better or worse to hear about all the bad things that could happen. I have moments when I feel such panic and terror that I have to deliver this baby soon. I try not to think about it but it’s my first time and I’m super scared.

strawberrykiki, I didn't have any BH first pregnancy. They're more common in subsequent pregnancies. I think it's 100% natural to be scared of childbirth. A lot of complications can arise, some really scary. But on the other hand, you want to balance that fear with other facts: the vast majority of births go well (even if a c-section or other intervention is required); moms and babies are resilient; your OB and nurses are highly trained and experienced; people often go on to do it all again.

I've been MIA around here due to being extra busy at work. I miss keeping up with everyone and all that is going on. I had a my 1 hr glucose test this morning and now I feel yucky. Hopefully I pass. I had to get some extra lab work because my BP is creeping up and they want to make sure everything is okay.

I took magnesium last night which always seems to help. I come close to having Charlie horses almost every night! I try to catch it before it totally tightens up and pull my toes towards my shin and it keeps it from getting really sore. They are the worst.

When checking out at the grocery store yesterday the cashier asked me when I was due. When I told her Feb 18th she looked at me weird and was like “oh... you might make it that far” Ummm okay? I know I look like a whale right now but it’s not okay for YOU to imply that 🙄 I swear people have no idea how to talk to pregnant women!

cch yuck! Who is she to say? Yesterday and then today the first strangers decided to say that my bump looks "tiny" (a waitress) and I'm "barely showing" (the plumber) and they can't believe I'm due end of Feb. I'm glad we know baby is measuring ahead so it doesn't make me anxious, but it doesn't feel good either. All I can guess is the rest of me is so round that it dwarfs the bump?? I didn't think so but I don't feel as cute now! The only thing to say to a pregnant woman is "you look beautiful!/great!/glowing!"
