With LO being slow to start solids, I'm curious how much your little ones are nursing.
How many times do you nurse during the day?
Are you nursing MOTN?
Any other working mamas still pumping?

We still nurse... 5 times a day, once motn included in that. Most of it is comfort nursing since shes eating 3 full meals a day.
1) before first nap 2) before second nap 3) after second nap 4) before bed 5) 3 am, usually
I'd love to drop the overnight feed, I know she doesn't need it (and hasn't for a while) but I just cant get myself to do it. I'm afraid of messing up our schedule or afraid that i wont be able to get her back to sleep motn without it.

I've been working on weaning for awhile now, and we are down to motn only. It's very much a comfort thing, and I'm hoping to be done with it in the next two weeks.

We are down to 2-3 times a day. Morning and bedtime I plan on keeping for the foreseeable future (18 months minimum is my goal). Mid afternoon/when I get home from work he sometimes wants to nurse but not always. DS has always loved solids though and eats a good 3 meals a day. He is wholly unimpressed with cow’s milk, DD was the same. My pedi says that’s totally ok as long as they eat a balanced diet with other calcium sources

We just got rid of motn nursing a couple weeks ago; when we got back from Disneyland. He basically was getting harder and harder to get to go back to sleep after he woke up and I needed it to end. I cut the time back for a couple nights and then just went cold turkey. He woke at the same time, cried on and off for like 20 minutes, slept until morning. Next night was only a couple minutes of crying and by night 3 he sttn and has for 2 weeks now (except for last night but he didn’t nurse motn, he is teething I think and was miserable, he ended up sleeping with me for a couple hours before I put him back in his crib)

I'm at 4-5 times per 24 hours: *when he wakes up *before first nap *after second nap *before bed *(sometimes) MOTN
He's getting better with solids and I'm really wanting to cut one feeding, but I hate to just yet. I'd like to see his meals be a little bigger and more consistent. We don't do cows milk.
I have a healthy freezer stash so I'm thinking of only pumping once a day instead of 2. I think I can nurse an extra feeding on the weekend if needed, probably.
I plan to nurse at wakeup and bedtime until at least 18 months.

During the work week - I nurse at wake up and bed. I pump 1x at lunch. I’m not pumping enough to meet her milk needs at daycare and my freezer stash is almost used up so the plan is this week to start to translationing to cows milk.
Weekend - 4 or more times. Usually before each nap and at each wake up.
MOTN - she’s sleeping through the night more often than not, like maybe 1-2 wake ups a week? Or less? Right now I feed her and she’s back to sleep on 15 or so minutes.
I’d like to keep nursing through cold and flu season but we made it a year and I’m happy with that too.

Well H just found like 3 more bags of BM in the depths of the deep freeze from 5-6 months ago so never mind kid... keep drinking up 😂 we will transitionsome other time.*
*Or we won’t. Neither H or I, nor DD1, drink milk. Pedi wasn’t concerned as DD1’s diet provided other sources of healthy fats, protein, and calcium so maybe DD2 won’t drink it either. We will try but I’m kind of meh about it too 🤷♀️

How many times do you nurse during the day? During the week it's once in the morning, once in the evening, and once at bedtime. Over the weekend it's an additional 3 or 4 times? I'm not sure. Oh and MOTN, bleh.
Are you nursing MOTN? Sadly yes (it's just so easy). It can be anything from 2-5 times. Pass the coffee please.
Any other working mamas still pumping? Not at work! Yaaay! But I do once I get home.

How many times do you nurse during the day? 1x or 2x ( weekdays ) 2x-3x weekends. Essentially lil fella drinks milk 4x a day now not including some during mealtime. He has been eating 3 solid meals a day so I treat milk time as his snack.
Are you nursing MOTN? Not unless he's sick and wakes up MOTN. Haven't been for a long while. Don't hate me.
Any other working mamas still pumping? I plan to keep up with pumping when I go back hopefully soon! I've been pumping about 2x a day when my mom came back about a month ago to get lil fella accustomed to her care if I had to work and when I run errands and have appointments.

How many times do you nurse during the day?
3 times - before morning nap, before afternoon nap, and then at bedtime. I’ll occasionally nurse him once more during the day, if it’s to soothe him (like he fell down and is ticked off or upset - nursing is the easiest and fastest way to get him calm and happy again).
Are you nursing MOTN?
Yes - he’s in his crib until about 3-5am. Then he wakes up and I just bring him into bed and he eats on and off until we all wake up at 7. I don’t mind it and can sleep through nursing, so I’m kind of whatever about it. I’d like to keep having him nurse at night until he is 2. Trying to work on daytime weaning before naps.
Any other working mamas still pumping?
I work, but I hate pumping. I only live a 7 min walk from my office, so I just go home to nurse before his naps. I know I’m really lucky in this respect.

I decided to skip pumping at work today now that we know DD2 has a week left in the baby room and then she’s moving to the toddler room at daycare (cows milk in there). And I think I’m done now.
I have some mixed feels here.
Like, yea! Done! I can once again socialize with adults at lunch
But also...
It might be the beginning of the end for our nursing. And we’re still not sure about a possible third. So I might never do this again. And I hate pumping but also... the end. I don’t know. Hormones be everywhere I guess and so help me if I start my period again because I dropped my lunch pump 😡

We nurse 6-7 times during the day and 1-2 at night on top of 3 good meals a day. He likes to nurse when he wakes up and before sleeping, and occasionally an extra session after dinner but before bed. He prefers nursing to his cup, and i want my period to stay away forever, so I'm cool with it. I'll start actively weaning at 18 months.

So I’ve been away from the baby all week and I haven’t really been keeping up with pumping. Mostly just to relieve the pressure. My supply has obviously tanked. I have a decision to make over the next few hours if I want to keep going or wean. I’m going to see how the baby is and go from there.

danvers hugs too. It’s hard to end that special time with baby. I’ve been sick the last week and a half so I’ve let my mom give him the 2 daytime bottles before nap and I miss that time nursing him. I also miss nursing him before bed too but hubs gives him a bottle and that is essentially their time together whilst I have my time with DS. If only I could clone myself several times. Meh 😅 August Blooms with DS I stopped pumping during the day around 1 yr but continued to nurse before work and before bedtime and was able to do that until he self weaned at 15 months. I had supply issues with him so I think once I stopped Day pumping my supply dwindled. He was drinking cows milk without issues by then. Maybe you could even still nurse once or twice a day until she self weans? Taitai all the power to you not having to pump and that is priceless for you to still be able to nurse baby.💪
