What are your favorite places to get maternity clothes? Best pants? Deals?
I need to return the pair I bought from Target, because they gap badly in the back. Where should I try next?

My favourite leggings were Old Navy. I liked their clothes too. I lived in leggings, tanks, cardigans and sweaters last time (don't have to dress fancy to be a teacher;). I also like Thyme Maternity specifically Stork & Babe for fancier stuff. I'm 5'11" so I never bought any maternity pants other than leggings because I could never find any that were the right length.

I’m 5’4” and have curves, so it’s hard to find pants anyways! I’m normally a 6 or 8 Petite.
I’ll check out Old Navy, their pants normally fit well.

Without a doubt their leggings were by far the best. Other places either made the legs too wide, or the bum area too loose, or they would fall down or loosen up too easily, or other strange things. I'd imagine their other mat pants are probably really good too.

Also bonzo, this early is really an awkward part of pregnancy where nothing fits super well. PrePregnancy stuff is really tight and actually maternity stuff isn't really filled out well. Point being: as you grow, clothes will likely be easier to find.

And part of my problem with my regular jeans has been how they rub on my Vivelle patches, and pregnancy pants are just softer in the waistband. But maybe it is too early to really figure out the fit.

Has anyone ever bought one of those maternity winter coats that you can use after pregnancy if you wear your baby? I don't need one for pregnancy but I feel like I'll use it next winter when baby is a bit older and I'm chasing DD around the park in the cold weather. I'm debating buying one this winter since I'll probably wear it next winter with baby. Even though I don't NEED it.

For my first pregnancy I primarily shopped at Target and Gap. I did do one or two trips to Motherhood Maternity. I ordered a couple of things online. I loved the Gap maternity tank tops so much that I bought more after my pregnancy was over LoL.
Also check your local consignment places- we have a nice chain in town and they have a maternity section. Most of the stuff is in really good condition because it’s not worn that long.

Also just a thought but I had a friend who was about my size (a little bigger but because maternity it worked) who had a bunch of maternity clothes that she let me borrow for my pregnancy. I got her big tote and went through the stuff and picked out what worked on me. I returned it to her after the pregnancy but that was also helpful- she had some nice work pants and shirts. Might be worth it to do a call out on Facebook.

Good thought about consignment! One thing that’s frustrating me with places like Old Navy and H&M is that they don’t carry much in store, it’s mostly online. But with consignment, it’s all right there to try on!

If anyone has tips for plus size maternity they are appreciated. I think I relied on JCP last time.
