nam2013 are you watching this 15 inning (so far) WS game? Can you watch it over there? Or maybe stream it? Sure am ! But my goodness this is dragging on forever... ETA and yes we stream via MLB tv. I’m sorry your Red Sox lost, but I’m happy at the same time. If they had lost my coworkers would be angry. However there are so many illegal fireworks going off here that I wish Boston would have won.

tallb Evie has told me twice she wants a new mom. Both times, I ask her how she's going to get to school, get ready for the day, if her new mom will love her as much as I do, etc. She gets sad and stops saying it, so then we have to talk about hurtful words. Kids are such assholes. Layla had told me a couple times that she wants a better life and that I am the worst mom ever! I then list all the great things about her life and that she wouldn't have them if she had a different life. She usually gets upset and reverses her stance. I think it's a good lesson on being thankful for what you have and the grass is not always greener. N has said “you’re not my mommy!” many times... I used to try talk through it with him about how it was hurtful. Maybe I’m harsh and my kid might be traumatized by it but lately my response is “well then go find your mommy because if I’m not her then I don’t need to deal with this behaviour”. ...he normally drops that line real quick after that.

We are back! We landed in STL at 10:30pm and got to my parents at 11:30. Fiji was absolutely amazing but 2 weeks was a long time to be away from S. I’m fighting every urge right now to go in and scoop her up in a giant hug. I need to try to sleep but I’m not even tired. It’s 6pm tomorrow over there right now. I have an appointment in the morning to get my phone fixed. I dropped it on the hard tile floor on like day 2 of vacation. So FX they can fix it because I don’t have insurance on it. My poor mom is exhausted from keeping S the last 2 weeks. I want to get her a gift card or something for a massage but she’s getting knee replacement surgery on Tuesday so she will be out of commission for a bit. Welcome back to America! I would think a special treat, like her favorite meal would be a good gift for now until she can get that massage.

What do you ladies think of this dress for me to wear to E’s baptism? I picked something I could wear to work as well. I would wear black tights with it. Edit picture Yes. I'd do black tights and black heels or just black heels with no tights. You can always add a colorful cardigan if you want more color (though I think it's fine as is).

cagoldi I saw some on Amazon & hobby lobby. I also saw some at the local dollar store over here, so maybe That’s an idea too. www.amazon.com/gp/aw/d/B07JH27YDD/ref=sspa_mw_detail_4?ie=UTF8&psc=1www.hobbylobby.com/Seasonal/Christmas/Christmas-Decorations/Wood-House-Advent-Calendar/p/80784344On what to fill it with... 13 is a difficult age! My nephew is 13, so with him in mind. Of course candy, maybe mini Lego bag, cool pen, movie ticket, earbuds, mini prank/magic trick, slime, buttons from a band they like, keychain, plectrums, socks, pocket knive and I found these for my BIL that look cool! www.amazon.com/Survival-Paracord-Emergency-Wilderness-Adventure-x/dp/B074WQKP3J/ref=mp_s_a_1_1?ie=UTF8&qid=1540615047&sr=8-1-spons&pi=AC_SX236_SY340_QL65&keywords=survival+bracelets&psc=1 Thank you!

cagoldi is money an option? Also, is this for a family member and it will be at your house? If so, you could hide slightly bigger items and put the clue to it's whereabouts in the box.

It's for a family friend who lives in NY. The boy is ASD and non-verbal so I can't have his parents ask him for ideas. He does love music, so I'm thinking some earbuds, band pins, candy, etc are good. I might throw in movie tickets, too, but I know getting him out of the house is a huge challenge because he refuses to use public restrooms.
