I’m watching making a murderer. I just don’t know how to feel. I they really didn’t do it this is just horrifying, if they did do it, I hate that I’m watching this. No spoilers. I haven't started Season 2 yet. |

slenle argh, that’s so frustrating. The horrible thing about construction/renovations is that each subcontractor’s job is dependent on someone else doing theirs, so when one item goes awry things domino. Do they have an office or workshop where you/your H can go in person to try and pin them down? I hate to say it but sometimes I feel like my husband has more luck with this kind of thing. Which is a topic for another vent. 😒 They do, it’s about 40 minutes from here, so not ideal. And the guy i need to talk to is never in the office. Whenever I call, they say “I’ll add it to your file for him to return your email” shouldn’t my email be enough of a reminder for him?! So today I said, no, please have him call me this afternoon as I haven’t been getting a response at all and this is time sensitive. So frustrating! I worked with his son last time, maybe i should see if I can get a hold of him... I'd get a quote from someone else then contact the original company and say that company x can do the cabinets in time and you are going to cancel your order with them. That will get them moving. Just like when you call to cancel your internet |

E has taken only a 20 min nap and our 2hr drive is almost over. We'll be staying up past his bedtime and he'll have to br quiet for that hour during the play. I wish I could have gotten a sitter but he is dying to see his sister

Wow flamingo! I have never been to a trunk or treat and didn't realize it was a scene! That's super cute Me neither! Wednesday night will be our first time. I think the kids will just LOVE it! |

Cabinet guy emailed me back. Said he’s 80% sure we’re on track but will know for sure by the end of next week. You know... 2 days before it’s supposed to happen 🙄. And they already have my 50% deposit.

tallb Evie has told me twice she wants a new mom. Both times, I ask her how she's going to get to school, get ready for the day, if her new mom will love her as much as I do, etc. She gets sad and stops saying it, so then we have to talk about hurtful words. Kids are such assholes. Layla had told me a couple times that she wants a better life and that I am the worst mom ever! I then list all the great things about her life and that she wouldn't have them if she had a different life. She usually gets upset and reverses her stance. I think it's a good lesson on being thankful for what you have and the grass is not always greener. |

I'm sorry tgrimes How's your nephew doing btw? Is he back at school this year? Yes! Occasionally his eyesight goes crazy but he's back to walking normally and isn't in pain. He still has issues with his Crohn's but the guillian barre is pretty much gone. phew what a relief 🙌 |

Crazy week this week. Sorry I haven't checked in more.
Work has been nuts and we had parent teacher conference, gymnastics and trunk or treat kept us super busy in the evenings.
Oh and I failed my glucose test so now I have to fit in a three hour sometime in my crazy week next week. Also they determined that I'm anemic, so blah. 11 weeks to go though, counting down. I scheduled all of my future appointments which really brought home how quickly time will pass with everything coming up.

Humph so mh was rear-ended on the drive home. He's fine, car is just a bit banged up on right back bumper. Crappy though.
In other news the contractor can start Monday for kitchen work, so should be able to move in someday! If they didn't have a date tonight I was ready to walk and just do it later. MH has to meet the contractor at 7am Monday, eek!

We are back! We landed in STL at 10:30pm and got to my parents at 11:30. Fiji was absolutely amazing but 2 weeks was a long time to be away from S. I’m fighting every urge right now to go in and scoop her up in a giant hug. I need to try to sleep but I’m not even tired. It’s 6pm tomorrow over there right now.
I have an appointment in the morning to get my phone fixed. I dropped it on the hard tile floor on like day 2 of vacation. So FX they can fix it because I don’t have insurance on it.
My poor mom is exhausted from keeping S the last 2 weeks. I want to get her a gift card or something for a massage but she’s getting knee replacement surgery on Tuesday so she will be out of commission for a bit.

lfig glad your home safely, go snuggle that girl! a gift card for a spa is still sweet, maybe for now a gift card for meal delivery and a bottle of wine? This might come in handy after surgery.
