I prefer Rosalie over Roselyn.
I love Cecelia from your list. What about Cecily?
Also I love your SN. That's my DD's name. 😊

Thanks honeylemon! It's my all-time favorite flower! Cecelia is my absolute top choice, but H isn't totally on board.

What about Rosalia? It keeps the Rose sound and it goes with your liking of names that end in 'a'.

My favorite Rose names are Rosa and Rosalie.

Rose is definitely my favorite. I had never considered it as a fn, but ever since my little girl picked it I've come to really appreciate it's simple beauty. I prefer Rosalie to Roselyn, but the Twilight context is still a bit of a drawback for me. Most Ros- names just feel like they are gilding the lily to me. Suggestions: Rose Rosmunda Rosalia Rosa

I agree about adding something to Rose, it does feel forced. That's probably why I can't settle on a name. I am realizing that I like it more as a middle name. In which case we probably wouldn't use the nn Rosie, but we would at least know where the inspiration came from.

You have a lot of good suggestions. I'd add Rosalind to your list.

Would you be willing to considering Roisin? I think it's lovely, and most little girls I know are nicknamed Rosie.

You have a lot of good suggestions. I'd add Rosalind to your list. I do like that a lot! Like from As You Like It. Which also makes me think of that Drew Barrymore movie Never Been Kissed. Lol. I like Roselind better than Roselyn. Definitely going on the list.

I always thought of it as a mn, too (obviously my daughter felt differently), and it would certainly be lovely in that capacity. It would go nicely with Sylvia, Victoria, or Cecelia, or any of the following, based off of your style: Julia Rose (I feel like Julianna is also gilding the lily) Alexandra Rose Corinna Rose Catherine Rose Frances Rose Francesca Rose Georgiana Rose Aurelia Rose Miranda Rose Magdalena Rose (nn Meg?) Natalia Rose Matilda Rose Imogen Rose Lucinda Rose Philippa Rose Penelope Rose Sabina Rose Selah Rose (SEE-la) Tabitha Rose

Rosetta is the only other Rose name I can think of that has not been mentioned. I like Rosalie the most of your current options. But I think using it as a middle name is a great option if you can't find a first name you love. I think it is so precious that your older DD kind of named her Lucinda Rose is lovely <3
