STM+ moms, what are things you thought before having your first that you laugh about now? What are things you're thinking now that you'll probably kick yourself for later?
FTM what are things you're thinking now that you might laugh at yourself for later?

The first time...
A baby won't change my life that much...
You don't get PP bleeding after a CS.
I've had tons of sports injuries...how much worse can labour actually be?
This time around...
It will be easy juggling two. Especially since I already know what to expect.
I'm sure baby will like all the same things as DD.
I'm sure DD will love the idea of a baby once it's actually here.

The first time: +1 to the bleeding after my c section. I was shocked.
Losing baby weight won't be hard if I breast feed
This time:
This baby will probably be an easy baby since DD was such a difficult baby

Oh man, the embarrassing long list
My kids will eat healthy, well rounded meals.
My kids will sit and eat.
I was never against bed sharing, but it never once occurred to me that we might do it.
Labor can't be that bad (oh hello back labor for both kids)
I can be calm and rational when discussing things with toddlers, and they will be rational as well.
I am sure there are a lot more.
For this one, I just assume it will be a horrible sleeper, with tons of energy just like my other 2. While my 2 have pretty different personalities in many respects, they both have a lot of the same traits, like defiance.

courtniko Hahaha I could have written your list! And +1 to defiance, terrible sleep and crazy energy. Seriously. At least now DD sleeps amazingly well...but it took 4 years for that to happen...

FTM what are things you're thinking now that you might laugh at yourself for later? The first time: I thought I'd actually have control over the birth plan. Doesn't work that way when you have twins that are transverse and your water breaks at 33 weeks. Breast is best - until your supply doesn't come in and you're exhausted from pumping every few hours, and your preemies won't latch. Formula is just fine.
This time: Maybe the older kids will help with household chores DH thinks that having a singleton will be a piece of cake compared to twins - I don't think so All that newborn stuff will just naturally come back to me (probably should get a book to read again)

The first time: Breastfeeding will make it easy to lose weight. Hahahhahhahahah no.
Since I don't have an airtight, must be followed birth plan, everything will go easily and l won't need a cs.
This time: DS will love having a sibling, and they'll play together and keep each other busy eventually.
Really, I'm just wondering how we'll handle two of them when we have to go anywhere or do anything including work. One is hard enough to cart around and keep track of.
