It's only Tuesday...Boo!
I slept great last night, but somehow I am still tired. I feel like I can never get enough rest.

We're headed to the park and grocery store, then on to feeding therapy later.

DH got a good offer from the job he applied to a couple weeks ago! He has to give 4 weeks notice at his current client, but he is now on his way to getting out of there. Oh and we'll be on vacation for the last week which he certainly isn't too upset about.

DS is at theater camp and nephew is still sleeping. I'm enjoying a cup of coffee on our back patio in peace and quiet.
After we pick up DS I'm unsure what our plans will be for the rest of the day. It's cooler today which is nice. SO is home too so we shall see what we decide to do. It's the second last day that we have my nephew here. DS is going to be sad when he leaves.

skategirl128, It was so gorgeous here this morning I was wishing I could just relax with a cup of coffee and enjoy the nice weather. I am jealous of you enjoying your coffee on the patio!

DD and I are going to the park for a picnic then to the library.
We are considering taking her to Disney World for her birthday but don't know if the cost is worth it right now. She is 4 now and is afraid of rollercoasters. Any advice?

cupcake, the nice thing about Disney is that it isn't all about roller coasters. There are plenty of other things to do and see. But it's up to you on whether it is worth the cost. Not sure if you are local to DW or not, but the cost of tickets alone is pretty steep. We've been planning a Disney trip pretty much since DD was born and opted to go just before she turns 8 (which is in about 2.5 years). For us it had to do with the height requirements on the rides. There is a lot that can be done for smaller kids but since this is likely a one time thing for us we wanted her to be able to do as many things as she wants.

misspeansmama Congratulations to YH on the new job! It's freezing in my office today. They had some issues yesterday so I think they're overcompensating now. I'm so glad I keep an extra blanket at my desk.

I've been lazy just catching up on my shows. This morning when I dropped DS off at camp, we saw the troublemaker kid that is younger than him that he did art camp with the week after school ended. I'm pissed because he's most likely going to be in his group. We passed him & his mom & the kid looks at DS & deviously says, "youu." Like wtf. I swear if this kid stirs up shit I'm not staying quiet because this camp goes until the end of July. I'll be damned if he ruins my kid's experience. He can gtfo. I made sure to tell DS please tell on him if anything happens so it's on record. Ughhh

She is 4 now and is afraid of rollercoasters. Any advice? We took DS when he was 3 & he had a blast. There's really not that many roller coasters. He's asked occasionally when are we going back but the problem right now is that I worry about his whining with waiting in lines & his endurance with walking. Lol it was easier before when he was in the stroller.

cupcake I'd take her! DS was 3.5 when I took him. He had a great time! We are hopefully going to go next year, but nothing is set in stone. It's pricy but he loved going and I don't regret taking him so young. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

That kid is a young five, if not a late 4 & the group DS is in is "4s & 5s." Originally I was gonna bump him up to the "6s & 7s" group but there was a a couple of classmates from his kindergarten class in the 4s & 5s group, so he opted to stay in that group + he really loves the group leader. Small town so there's only one group of 4s & 5s. :/ I know that DS made a new friend in this group that is a boy so maybe since he has this new comrade, maybe that problem kid will go bother someone else since DS has someone by his side now. In art camp, he had acquaintances but was sort of a lone ranger & the friend from his kindergarten class was a girl & she had her other friends so DS was maybe an easy target idk. I'm just eager to get him & hear how it went today.

So the report from DS was that the kid mostly left him alone. The only thing he told me he did was sort of push him while they were walking in the hallway back to the classroom. DS didn't fall or anything & he said he told the people in charge so the kid got in trouble & according to him, this kid was in time out a few times. This was his first day. Clearly he is not meant to be in extracurricular programs. I asked DS if he bothered him while they were inside the classrooms & elsewhere but he said no & he was elsewhere bothering other people so that's good. I mean, not good for other people but good for my kid. Then there is another thing with DS that pretty much everyday he comes home with a new bandaid on him. Today it was on his finger. I asked him if it had to do with that kid. He said no, it was him & this other kid that I know is a decent kid. Apparently at recess, they were trying to grab some kind of stone in a garden (?) lol & the other kid dropped it on his finger. The kid apologized he says & I believe it because we've seen this kid around & he also did soccer with him but at that time they really didn't know each other. He's also a year younger, going into kindergarten in the fall. Seriously though, my kid is a hot mess. He always gets the brunt of it.

One of my sisters, and her two kids, are flying into town tomorrow! I'm pretty excited. It's going to be fun seeing R play with her cousin, K, who isn't quite 2. It'll be the first time that she's actually been able to play with a kid under the age of 5. Though, also, she's used to playing with a 5 year old boy who is pretty rough, so hopefully R does alright!

NamasteBirches, I am glad that the other boy left your DS alone for the most part. And good for your DS for telling when he got pushed by that boy.

cupcake we took dd to Disney last year, 1 month before her 4th birthday. She had a great time & was able to go on many of the rides. My advice is to take lots of breaks (including going back to the hotel/pool if possible) & remember to factor in play time (there are playgrounds at the parks. Get lots of drinks & snacks to avoid hangry kid/adults.

Thanks for the advice ladies! I'm dreading seeing how much it will cost. We did 4 days in the parks & stood at Art of Animation & it wasn't too bad. It just really depends on where you decide to stay & for how long.
