brenna - use all those bibs! Always a bib on a spitter! 😄 she always has her head tilted to the side so it goes down her sleeves and back! Maybe a backwards bib? Haha

FFFC: I don't change DS for some spit up. If it's a lot I will, but small amounts I just let dry...

Just read your birth story pixiepink24 with my jaw hanging open, what a whirlwind! So glad everything worked out, I cannot imagine the adrenaline and knowing to have your mom pull over to call for help... makes me emotional just thinking about it all. Hope you guys are comfortable now, he is quite the cutie.

What a birth story pixiepink24!! Such a crazy experience - I can't even imagine. And it's so amazing how your body just took over and knew what to do. Great job!

Congrats pixiepink24 and much love, I could have easily ended up in your exact situation on Sunday, precipitous birth is scary as hell! Be gentle with yourself and let yourself feel whatever you need to about your experience and feel free to PM me if you want to chat. We have some troublemaker October babies! So glad to hear you and your little guy are ok after that ordeal.

Does anyone use any anti gas drops? If so, do you even notice a difference? I've been giving DD gas drops before bedtime because many of the times she wakes and fusses is to toot. But I'm not sure they do anything.

They worked really well on my first though.

I gave it to DS1 right before bed because that was when he seemed the gassiest and fussiest.

I am sad today, I have had an overall stressful week. I just went through yesterday’s mail and found out my insurance has denied A for his medicine that prevents RSV.
I think there is a chance we can appeal and get approved because one of the listed requirements was for the request to come from a cardiologist- his request came from his pediatrician. Maybe changing that will do the trick.
The shots can be 2k out of pocket and he needs five shots. I do not have an extra 10k sitting around 😢

meggriffin insurance can be such a pain. I hope that you can get everything figured out. I guess my body knew that my H didn’t have to work today and I only woke up for one of P’s wake ups . It’s amazing how much better you feel when you get some sleep.

akwild I contacted his cardiologist shortly after posting and she said her NP is amazing at getting insurance issues resolved and she would put her on it Monday. So I am hopeful we will get it straightened out. Yay for good sleep, I hope it sets you up for a great day.

Things are going pretty well. I'm recovering quickly and didn't have any tears. DS is latching and eating well. We are all set to discharge tomorrow. We had to stay in hospital for 48 hours due to birth being "outside". Food isn't great here but a friend brought me a sushi burrito!!! 😋 It's been a bit lonely though. My mom had to go home and take care of my DD and the kid's dad got to come meet baby for a couple hours then left for the stupid wedding out of state 🙄. So I've been solo here. My mom, niece and DD are supposed to be headed here in a few to meet the baby so I'm hoping that will be a fun time!!!
