Happy Birthday calimocho! Finding daycare and preschool can be such a stress chrisy01. I hope something works out soon. And I'm inclined to think that if LO did great for a whole week when he wasn't at the in home care, then he will do great at other places, too. Don't give up! Glad A is better today cagoldi. Hope B's fever goes down soon jewels.

So I don't think I'll be able to go to this interview. They are only interviewing that one day in the morning and DH can't watch Z until the afternoon. They basically said they are only doing interviews that day til 1pm. Doesn't that sound a little sketch? So if you can't make it then you aren't being considered?!

Do you ever think it's funny what songs the kids really seem to take to? Xander loves Jefferson Airplane's White Rabbit. So random. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk I love that! We try to avoid those really annoying kids songs, so a lot of the songs they like are actually songs we like and therefore play a lot. Ds loves Edward sharpe - 40 day dream, wagon wheel-OCMS & a lone bellow song I forgot the name of. He also loves a lot of the Sesame Street songs with musicians (goo fighters, wil.i.am, feisty etc.) the weird thing is we play them so much I'm forgetting the real lyrics...

I sing them nursery rhymes but we never listen to them. If I'm alone in the kitchen I play my music. We also listen to our stuff in the car. This works out fine as far as Dude is concerned since he likes Metallica, AC/DC, Mesuggah, etc. X seems to like more melodic songs. He coos when he hears Lana del Ray, Portishead, and My Bloody Valentine. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

cagoldi I sing then nursery times too, but to listen to childrens choirs sing them off tune 😖😖😖. Oh I forgot ds likes 'shake it off - Taylor swift'. Def. not in my playlist, but who can resist a tiny booty shaking it off?! You should play x my guilty pleasure, old school Elton John (I know...) but you can be sure it's melodic 😉.

H's new favorite song is "castle on the hill" by ed Sheerhan. S was groovin to "that's what I like" by Bruno mars. Hey ladies! Busy morning. We left our house pretty early so we played at the park until it was time for swimming lessons. Mil came to watch, and then after we walked over and had lunch by the pond. There were a ton of geese and ducks, including babies, all over. I walked down a way from them but eventually they came right by our table because they realized we had food. Now we are home and everyone is napping. MIL will be coming over later this afternoon to watch the girls so I can go to a work meeting. Happy birthday calimocho!

Evie's music choices are...annoying. I received a bunch of CDs from H's 75yr old aunt when I was pregnant. We would occasionally listen to them when she was little, but as she has gotten older, my dad and step mom play them for her when they stay at our house. So she loves them. They're the two sisters cd's for nursery rhymes, I think there are about 75 songs total between 3 cds. Anytime we get in the car 'mommy, put my music on!' And I listen to her sing the Wheels on the bus, Johnny comes marching, Alphabet Rock, My Feelings, etc.
While age appropriate and they help her learn, they drive me nuts.

This is exactly what I'm trying to avoid. I'm sorry for your ruined cars rides.

We go back and forth with music in the car. Sometimes we will play "her" music which is various nursery rhyme cds. We both sing along to them. I don't mind them. Her favorite radio song right now is "Down" by Marian Hill.

The boys don't really pay attention to the music until I sing. Then it's "stop saying that mommy, you can't sing"

Hi! snoopmommymom I'd suspect they have interviews scheduled around someone's schedule, hence the hard stop. If you are sure you don't want it since it's in the city, I'd pass. calimocho happy birthday! Great work on the running. I so need to get back into it. inthekitty happy belated! Sounds like it was a great day with the family! I had something else to comment on...and I forgot.

Oh j LOVES the Lumineers. Ophelia specifically. He knows the name of more songs than me. They are opening for U2 tonight..if tickets weren't $250 each, we would consider taking him.
We also are enjoying the Moana soundtrack on YouTube. I may buy the CD for the car since it is pretty catchy.

Here's my old lady question of the day: does anybody deal with psoriasis? As the resident #oldlady of the board, I'm sure it won't surprise you that I do. I've had it since I was a teenager.

I have two spots on my knees-- so unsightly. Anyway, my derm had me on two different lotions that help greatly, but the second I stop using them even for a day the spots get ashy again. I have an appt in mid July, but was just wondering if anyone had any other ideas (aside from using the lotion constantly)

Finally heard back from the county about the delay on our property. They agreed to our solution! I go Thursday to get all the paperwork to then take to the township for approval! We're making progress!

Anyone who's in to detectives and not opposed subtitles, watch the bridge on Netflix, the Swedish one. Think the killing. It's is tense and really good.
