Hello all! I have posted a couple times since coming here from TCF yesterday. I decided I should do a full intro post for myself, even though it's not very exciting
I'm 27 years old (28 next month) and have 2 kids. My oldest is 6.5 and he is a hand full! He has generalized anxiety, and lately he has been having a lot of anger and frustration that I feel is related to his GAD. Any who, he is a great big brother to his little sister and I just hope we can get his GAD under control so he will live a full and happy life.
Our daughter is 16 months old and is just a happy baby. She's always laughing and smiling, and is already getting into everything and climbing everywhere. She has convergence of both eyes, meaning they both turn in at times. We just saw a pediatric ophthalmologist last week, and we go back in 3 months to see if there is any change either worse or better. If it hasn't changed or has gotten worse, we will be talking surgery.
I haven't noticed any affect on her development thus far from the convergence, so we are hoping for the best whichever outcome we may end up with. She walks all over the place and is so close to running now. I'm so glad they don't think glasses will be a necessity right now. I have had them since I was 5 and it was not something I liked at all.
I'm a SAHM at this point, but I would love to eventually go back to work once the kids are in school. I want to get my degree or certification in childbirth education, doula, breastfeeding educator, or something along those lines. I absolutely love all of those things, so I hope to make it happen one day
My husband is an assistant supervisor at a utility company in a nearby town, and hopefully will be promoted this year to supervisor. I am so blessed that he works so hard to provide for our family and allow me to be a SAHM.
We are now going to try for Baby #3 and that's why I signed into TCF because the community was so helpful and supportive when we were TTC our daughter in 2015
I'm so happy to be here!
