I’m invested now. Maybe I don’t understand what the job of the property management is, but aren’t they simply a go-between? Why would the PM care if the recommendation is for a mounted microwave or a countertop microwave, it’s not their money. Isn’t it just their responsibility to tell the owner that he needs to produce the money for the correct appliance/recommendation and then the PM follows through with the work order? Bingo. From what I have read elsewhere, PM's loyalty almost always lies with the owner b/c they are paying the monthly fee. I've asked her something similar before and she claims that it's her responsibility to the homeowner to protect their investment, not waste their $, blah blah. Part of me suspects that she is afraid that constant repair bills will jeopardize her relationship/contract with the homeowner...like she'll lose the business b/c they feel like they are always spending $ and she's not doing her job. And part of me thinks she is just dumb. The homeowner essentially cut the PM out of the whole pool re-do fiasco, b/c they were so inept and were caught in some lies, so I though that would put them on notice, and and they'd shape up in the future. That has not been the case.

flamingo that is super frustrating. I’m glad they finally got back to you. I hope this can be resolved, the right way, quickly for everyone’s sake.

I'm really confused how you've been living without a working microwave flamingo. I use ours at least once a day, more often usually. I mean, how does one eat popcorn every night without a microwave???

I'm really confused how you've been living without a working microwave flamingo . I use ours at least once a day, more often usually. I mean, how does one eat popcorn every night without a microwave??? We have an air popper. It forever changed how I view popcorn. It is infinitely better. don't get me wrong, we still use our microwave quite a bit... leftovers, frozen pancakes, about half of the vegies I make come in a freezer steam bag, etc.

And because I suck so bad at planning ahead, I'm generally defrosting some kind of meat in it nightly. Evie is obsessed with popcorn and requests a bag nightly. Sometimes, when she goes to bed early and doesn't get it, I still pop a bag for myself to enjoy.

I mean, how does one eat popcorn every night without a microwave??? Oh don't worry, we are microwave people. The first few days I can't tell you the number of times I stuck something in there and pushed buttons before realizing...nothing was happening. So after about a week my H brought home the microwave from his private office (yes, he has his own microwave). BUT it's huge and taking up half my counter space. It is not a long-term solution. But of course the manager doesn't know this And honestly, if the homeowner or landlord came to me and said, "Hey, can we postpone this til next month, we've had a lot of expenses this year, blah blah" I would be understanding and probably say ok. But the fact that the PM has ignored us for two weeks is what pisses me off, and when they FINALLY responded today they acted like they had just received the information from the repairman...which we know to be a lie...and that it's not on them to fix it? No.

They both love popcorn and since we don’t own a microwave we now buy prepopped, which is just meh to me.

I may pick your brain for a rec. I sometimes still make popcorn on the stove top with oil.

Hi! It finally got cool this week and I discovered DS1 had no pants that fit. He and DH are going to Boston tomorrow until Sunday for a tournament so I needed to find several pairs today. Abercrombie Kids for the win, I had never been before. Between there and Old Navy, I got 5 pairs of pants and 11 shirts and he liked all but 2 of the shirts. I also had to go get his skates sharpened and have an extra set of blades made. C’s sleep is getting worse and worse and I have my period for the second time in 2 weeks so 4 days alone with the other 3 sounds like tons of fun right now.
I took the puppy to the new vet this morning and he thinks she has sciatica. They don’t do anything about it right now but she doesn’t have to have activity restrictions anymore.

lahdeedah How is M2's ear? Did you call the ENT for drops? I did call the ENT and she prescribed oxyflacin (so?). She also gave me instructions for irrigation because if I don’t, the drops will just sit on top of the gunk. I wanted to ask you if you had to do this. Mix two parts water with one part vinegar. Flush his ear, then tilt his head to drain it and do it 2/3 times before drying his ear with a paper towel and then use the drops. I have to do that twice a day. If there is no drainage after 3 days, I can stop the irrigation, but continue the drops for the course of seven days. If he still has drainage after seven days, I need to make an appointment for them to culture it for oral antibiotic decision. I can tell the irrigation is breaking up the fluid in his ear, but of course, it’s hard to do it a few times without him getting antsy. I did grab the ear things from work to help get the drops in.!

lahdeedah I was never told to irrigate it. Just to remove as much of the fluid as I could by rolling up the Kleenex like I told you the other night. A couple times I had to take him in so they could suction it out.

flamingo man I'd be frustrated too!! I hope the owner puts them in check. Earlier you said there are rules against contact between the owner/tenant with your PM and the other renters. How did you guys avoid that?

Um our microwave gets a workout. At the new house we may be putting it above the fridge in the cabinet 😬. We are tall though and an open kitchen is more important at this stage of life. Hope they fix it quick flamingo
