I feel like all I do is complain about my lack of sleep. I've been mostly up since 4:30. I don't know if it's the teething the rolling over stuff or both. I am so tired. I really need to try to sneak in a nap today.

#momlife peaseblossom55 it gets better, I promise! I remember thinking with ds that I'd never get another full night of sleep again. Ds was very excited about the mountain goats in his Ranger Rick Jr magazine this morning so I think we'll go to the arboretum to see the goats. They have ten goats there to help keep the weeds under control. We didn't get outside to play much yesterday due to the weather so ds needs some good excercise.

Ahhhh I forgot I pumped this morning because dd gave me a long stretch. I just found the milk on the counter. Luckily I found it while packing up before we left for the morning. It had only been out 1.5 hours. Phew.

M was less of a snotty mess this morning! Hooray for improvement! DS is struggling big time with his first week in the 2 year old class at daycare. The rough drop offs make for such a crappy way to start the day. Fingers crossed this doesn't last too long!

I hope you get a nap in peaseblossom55! Have fun seeing the goats Lakes! And yay for a long sleep stretch! ((Hugs)) for the crappy drop-offs carrots. I remember when DD graduated to her current room. It's terrible to have to start your day walking away from a crying kid.

DH and I celebrated our anniversary with a bottle of Veuve and some House of Cards. Also, B had a great night. I like to think he was giving us a little present by sleeping well. DD woke up at 6 this morning because she heard DH and B rustling around. Boy is she a cranky pants when she wakes up before she wants to. No help from the OK to wake clock today - there was just no way she was going to calm down enough if we made her stay in her bed when she knew everyone else was awake. ::sigh::

I sometimes have to pump MOTN, and leave it on my nightstand til morning. kellymom.com/bf/pumpingmoms/milkstorage/milkstorage/

We came down the shore yesterday and are staying til Thursday. C did ok on the drive down and for a while on the boardwalk (in the rain), but she was a cranky mess last night. I finally got her to sleep around 11, but not before H tried telling me to keep her down, she's going to wake the people in the next room over (my response was "so what? Everyone has been woken by a baby before. Now we're those people, oh well") he's just so worried about what other people think. Also, he wouldn't let her whine when I put her down to sleep, so he went over to try to make her smile which resulted in an extremely overtired baby.
Anyhow, she slept til 630, ate and slept til 830, so she's good to go now. We're going to hit up the boardwalk and aquarium today (Jenks for you locals), maybe the beach. I brought some formula and pumped milk in case I feel like imbibing some.

I would have been upset if I found it when we returned.

judyblume14 I'm in the middle of Oh Crap as well. DS turns 2 this weekend and the book is making me feel some pressure to make moves soon. But I'm feeling very lazy over the whole thing. I've penciled in a couple weekends in August that we might go for it.

judyblume14, that's what I read too! I need to re-read the poop chapter because that's where DS is struggling. peaseblossom55, hope you get a nap. It does get better, promise. Day two of SAH with both boys is going well. DS painted two frames (belated Father's Day gifts), washed his cozy coupe, and is now enjoying a lunch of apple sauce, hummus, and fruit snacks while watching our street get re-paved. Baby has been wrapped up and napping on my chest for almost two hours.

DS is currently telling us when he needs to pee and hasn't worn a pull-up since Memorial Day (that's when we started). He's been doing great and it was seriously very easy with him.

Ahhhhh I love it pibblemom! Enjoy your beach trip! I was all excited that there was a shore aquarium I didn't know about but your shore is too far away from my shore. 😭 I legit didn't know about the Cape May Zoo until I had a kid so the possibility of a hidden aquarium was real.

Accomplished our primary objective of goats! I tracked it on mapymyrun today. We did 2.2 miles in 2 hours, 10 minutes. That includes snack breaks, exploring the exhibits, and other toddler distractions. We're not winning any speed records but we've got stamina!

heybulldog how did Oh Crap work for your DS? Did you follow it exactly or do some modifications? I don't know anybody who has done it IRL so I'm not sure how much of it is overly optimistic or not realistic. I feel like her timeline is very optimistic compared to the toddlers I know.

I don't know anybody who has done it IRL so I'm not sure how much of it is overly optimistic or not realistic. I feel like her timeline is very optimistic compared to the toddlers I know. Here's exactly what we did: -We started on a long weekend (Memorial Day) -We did not leave the house for three days -DS was fully naked the entire time (for nap: bedtime he wore a pull-up. We told him it's because his body is still learning and may not wake him up when its 'making pee' in the MOTN). -We watched him like a hawk and promoted him to use potty every 30 minutes ('J, go pee') -When we noticed signs of poop we grabbed him and rushed to potty (poo is a different story, he has not picked that up). -Daycare did not let us send him commando so he wore pull-ups when there and took him potty every 30 minutes. He only had accidents first week. -After a few days of dry pull ups in between pottybreaks, we sent him to daycare in underwear. -He has only had one pee accident since (although many many poo accidents) and wears underwear every day (pull-ups at night and nap still). That's really long but it's exactly what we did. Daycare did give him stickers whenever he peed but we did nothing in terms of rewards at home. About the end of last week is when he started telling us he has to pee. We've stopped prompting him (unless he's like grabbing at himself) and he's doing great!

That's awesome heybulldog! And so helpful, thank you! That sounds like exactly what I'm thinking for DS since I'm sure daycare won't be on board with commando. Do they change him into a pull-up for naptime now?

Do they change him into a pull-up for naptime now? Yup! They've been really supportive of how I wanted to do this as well. Hope your DC is too! They wanted me to bring in fruit snacks or candy and I objected. They were totally on board with the stickers I suggested and DS was just fine. They made sure not to wave other kids' candy/ fruit snacks in his face which I really appreciated. He was none the wiser. I hope no one reads this as judgement on treats! I just wanted to avoid it if at all possible because I need that leverage for other things! I'm probably gonna start offering him fruit snacks for pooping in the potty though bc I'm for real over the poopie underwear.
