I feel like I’ve only been popping in randomly because work is trying to consume my life.
The baby was boycotting bedtime but last night went better. He was grumpy this morning though (he screams if he isn’t being held or can’t crawl all around under your feet).

Good morning! G refused the bus this morning so I had to drive her. That was annoying because I had to get the baby dressed and find parking and was all around a pain in the butt. I just gave the baby some breakfast and put him down for his nap. He is laying down but not sleeping yet. I need coffee.

Good morning everyone! Happy Tuesday!!
DS is starting to more consistently only wakeup 1x at night (knock on wood!) which is great. However, it has been terrible for my supply! I pump 3x a day at work and two months ago I was getting 12/13 oz....I am now down to 6 or 7. My left side is only doing probably .5 oz of that. When I am with him for the day though, it does seem like my supply is a little better.
Was night weaning for you the beginning of the end of breastfeeding? At this point since he is eating more foods is this just normal? Or is there anything I can do to increase my supply at this stage?

I am a zombie version of myself today. I wanted to get in the car and drive away when DD woke up for the first time a 9:20 last night. I was tempted to call out today, but I have important meetings this afternoon with people in from our other office, so here I am, doing nothing productive because I'm barely upright. One week ago, she woke up once in the night at nearly 3 am. Last night, I lost track of which wake-up we were on around 1 am and wake-up #5.

Or is there anything I can do to increase my supply at this stage? Not for me (night weaning did not end BFing)! I think dips/reductions can be normal, for sure. And not mean it has to end. I've increased my supply with lactation supplements! It is awesome. I'd say I am averaging 10-11 oz a day now, whereas when we came back to school I was only getting 7-8 oz a day. I feel like it is good for V. I have always struggled with getting much milk while pumping so it is nice to see results.

Add me to the tired club. 😴 T is working hard on her first upper tooth. I need to have some Tylenol prepped and out for the MOTN and hope that helps.
I’m hoping this week goes smoothly and quick at work, because I’m already ready for Friday.

Thank you for that easternshoregirl! Good to know. Can I ask what kind of supplements you are using?

pinkcat night weaning didn’t mean the end for either of my boys. It took a little for my supply to even out (I was waking up super engorged).

N had her 9 month checkup today. After being 97th percentile for height at her 6 month checkup, she made it higher than the chart today 😂 H and I are not tall, so I find this amusing. Here’s her 9 month pic from last week too! Birthday time is creeping up for some of these babies! Has anyone thought about what they are doing yet?

tiffrobot I have started thinking about my little mans birthday since it’s in December. Because of Christmas I may actually have a small party for him in January.

Since seeing how tall N is, I checked the other two baby books and she’s taller than they both were at their first birthday already, lol! At 9 months they both were around her 6 month height.

N’s is January but DS’s hockey schedule is going to make things tight! Poor third kid. I usually like to have a big family party with extended family for their first, so we’ll have to see what I can swing.

I’ve been thinking of T’s Bday Party! We will probably just do a small family party as we have done with DD1. This would be the first time we host at our house though. I’m thinking ladybug theme because we call her bug.

I feel like I’ve been doing more lurking than posting lately. Arden has her nine month check up on Monday. 14lbs 8oz, 26.5 in. She’s maintained the 3rd percentile for two months so no weight checks between now and her year checkup!! Yay!!!!!!!!! It will be strange to go three months between seeing the doc or a nurse.
I need to start birthday planning because it’s going to come out of nowhere. I’ve been thinking either a rainbow theme since she’s a rainbow babe, like pastel colors, a donut theme (‘donut grow up’), or just sparkly and pretty because. 🤷🏼♀️ My biggest dilemma is where to have it. We don’t have family close by so it’ll be friends. I usually do the first birthday at home, but now all the friends kids are older and having 15+ kids ages 3-8 running around in my house in January just seems... not fun. I can’t decide what to do.

Also life has been full of random hectic stuff. Parent/teacher conferences, doctors appointments, were seeking speech therapy for DD3, I got my hair colored yesterday. All sorts of errands and appointments. Life is keeping me busy!!

I was thinking about doing a bouncy ball/polka dot theme but I’m not sure. A lot of the cute boy birthday party ideas seem to focus around summertime or lumberjack so I’m stumped. H likes the wild thing theme because Ds2 thrives on being wild.

Here are some cute boy birthday ideas: Mickey Cars Rainbows Bears Puppies Construction vehicles Any book you read to him Ocean animals Snow men FWIW: I am not one to stick to traditional gender assigned things so really any of these things can be for a girl as well. You can also use any number of things that are “girly” for a boy. You can make something like a unicorn theme for a boy.

Can't believe it's already time to talk first birthdays 😭

I'm at a loss at this point about DD's birthday. My sister called the other day and offered to be my party planning/prep minion (which I will take her up on, she knocked my baby shower out of the park) but I need to give her some direction. I've been preoccupied with Halloween/vacation/Thanksgiving/Christmas that will happen between now and then.

Towards the end of the first year with DD my pumping output got really low, and I was with her 24-7. So I think part of it is just that. But she was STTN fully (like 7-7) around 8 months and we nursed until 16mo.

Morning y’all! I have barely been keeping up with my original bmb from DD so feel sad I haven’t been popping in here more. DS had his 9mo checkup on Monday & weighs 20lbs, 29” long! He is also starting to occasionally sleep through the entire night like 7:30pm-6:00am...we’ve had 3 or 4 nights of that in the last 10 or so days, including the past two nights! I woke up this morning in disbelief that he had slept all night two nights in a row lol. I had been considering night weaning him soon bc he had seemed so committed to that 3am feeding (and I am SO over it) but it looks like he is transitioning out of it himself.
Today we did some shopping for Halloween costumes (we are doing Frozen!) and he is just waking up from his morning nap.
We haven’t thought at all about his birthday lol. Probably will just do a family party (like the 4 of us lol)...my birthday is December & H’s is early January too so it’s a busy time for us. We will be exhausted I’m sure. But also I don’t want it to be like that forever, poor guy will always have a birthday in January and it will always be a busy time so I can’t use that as an excuse!

Just catching up. Baby had a stomach bug so I had to work from home the past two days. We went to the ped monday morning and she is 19lbs 6oz. We don't do 9 mo appointments at our office so I have no clue her height.
She is feeling much better today but had a blowout this morning at daycare and after 2 they will send her home so fingers crossed she's fine the rest of the day. Oh and DH left yesterday morning for a work trip for the rest of the week. Great timing right?

Oh! It is Wednesday! Sneaks up on me every week. DD played dress up with the nanny yesterday. She was more interested in the toys than the birthday boy was. Trying to figure out her new cup.
