How far along are you? 31 weeks
How big is baby? The size of a 1lb jar of Nutella.
Any appointments this week? Not until Monday.
How are you feeling? Just super tired. I haven't been sleeping well and my daughter keeps waking up crying just about every night. We switched her over to her big girl bed and I think she wakes up and doesn't recognize where she is and gets scared. Each night, it's been less time crying, but it still wakes me and I can't fall back asleep right away.
Vents/questions/concerns: Update on the SPD - it seems to have died down a lot and actually hasn't bothered me over the last week. I have an appt with a physical therapist next week, but I may just cancel it if it doesn't come back by then. Knock on wood!
QOTW: What is one thing you've always wanted to learn how to do? Crochet and Spanish. I can get by with the Spanish, but I wish I was 100% fluent.

How far along are you? 31+2
How big is baby? A motorcycle helmet, which seems really large
Any appointments this week? Today. Baby looked good!
How are you feeling? Tired. Toddler had a fever of 103 since Sat. Turns out he has strep, so I'm sure H and I aren't far behind. Otherwise, getting uncomfortable.
Vents/questions/concerns: we need to get moving on house projects. We have 3 open weekends between now and when baby is due. Eeek. The toddler needs to move to his new room, which he can't do until we finish work on that room. H is very handy, but tends to have a little add with projects. Every quick project has turned into a several day ordeal. I'm... frustrated. I can't do any of it. And its not H's fault. He's working full time and we have a toddler who wants to be in on the action at all times. But it's not going to get easier with a second kid in the house.
QOTW: What is one thing you've always wanted to learn how to do? I wish I had natural abilities (and enjoyed) cooking. I need a recipe, I'm slow, and I really don't enjoy it.

How far along are you? 31+5 How big is baby? Not sure tbh.. the size of a cantaloupe maybe? Any appointments this week?
On Monday I had another appointment with the MFM. He had met with the cardiologist team and they've decided that as long as my heart continues to behave the way it does now, a c-section isn't necessary but they do want me to get an epidural early on as to put as little stress on my heart as possible, so we discussed what this meant for me. I have to admit I felt really overwhelmed by the time I got home and I'm still processing everything. Especially combined with the plan they put in place surrounding placental expulsion due to my increased risk for placenta accreta. I'm just feeling like things are so much out of my control (which I know they are, but still) to where I feel anxious and stressed out. But well in the end it is what it is. I know tis important for ME to get through labor in one piece as well. It's more the whole range of things that could also come in play that make me feel.. I dunno. MH&I talked about this quite in depth last night and will continue to do so until I feel less stressed out.. I'll be getting another U/S at 34wks to double check my placenta placement once more. I don't mind, love getting to see the bub once more. I was a bit sad that after having had relatively many scans the first half of the pregnancy, I'd get no more after our follow up A/S at 27 weeks lol. So this is a nice treat *g* How are you feeling?
Pretty good actually. Starting to feel a little big, but since I'm still limited in what I can do with my broken ankle it's not bothering me too much (yet? ;-)). Ditto for my heart, tis been keeping relatively quiet lately so that's good. Do get a lot of hip pain at night which makes sleeping uncomfortable, and need to remember to eat small portions also if the food is just sooo good or I'm hungry cause otherwise my rib starts hurting and reflux gets so bad. Rennies/tums are still my best friends on most days *g* But apart from this I'm feeling pretty good. Emotionally I'm trying to wrap my head around the fact that we're getting so close to the end of this pregnancy. And it's a little overwhelming. I don't feel prepared or ready at all, though at the same time I'm really eager to meet my little girl! Also, after a quiet spell she's finally more active again which I just love as it keeps the crazy thoughts and worries at bay a little better Vents/questions/concerns:
We had our hospital info evening & tour this evening. The talk was so-so interesting, most I already knew/heard before. The last bit of the evening was to tour the department. It was a rather large group and everybody was cramping themselves into one room, but we got a private tour of another room cause I was in the wheelchair. Score! At least one positive thing came of breaking my ankle huh I really did like viewing the room and also did pick up a couple of interesting tidbits, so all in all it was a succesful evening I guess. QOTW: What is one thing you've always wanted to learn how to do?Ahh there are a ton of things I would love to be able to do.. but if I had to pick just one hmm... Maybe learn how to sew really well and be able to make my own clothing and other fabric stuff? Will come back to tag tomorrow! Forgot the time and it's almost midnight oops, no wonder I'm feeling so pooped! We're in the mids of a heatwave too which isn't fun when you're highly pregnant haha so I was enjoying the cooler evening but definitely time for bed now!

muscari, I'm sorry there is still some uncertainty and of course so many what ifs but you really have such a positive attitude which is a wonderful thing! I might have missed it but how did they determine you were increased risk of placenta accreta?

I might have missed it but how did they determine you were increased risk of placenta accreta? No problem! I have an increased risk because of Asherman's Syndrome (intrauterine adhesions/scarring) which I ended up with as a result of the D&C I had to have for retained placenta tissue after a medically managed MMC.

How far along are you? 32 weeks
How big is baby? A plastic scooter board, like the ones that late 80s/early 90s kids used in gym class. Or a pomelo, whatever the hell that is.
Any appointments this week? I saw both the OB and MFM yesterday. Baby girl's kidney is about the same size, which considering she's 4ish weeks bigger now I guess proportionally that's good news. I'll have one more scan at 38 weeks to check it one more time before birth. Otherwise, she's measuring great, actually about a week ahead. She's 4lbs and some ounces.
How are you feeling? Large and uncomfortable. And itchy because we went to a BBQ on Saturday and I got bitten up like crazy by mosquitoes 😒
Vents/questions/concerns: I can't stop thinking about how miserable I feel in this heat already and we're not even in the worst of summer yet 😭
QOTW: What is one thing you've always wanted to learn how to do? Speak another language fluently. Spanish would be pretty useful. Sign language too.

How far along are you? 31+4 How big is baby? Size of an otter!! Otters are my favorite water animal so I'm pretty psyched this week 😁 Any appointments this week? Later today for a check up. How are you feeling? Okay. Heartburn sucks. Swelling calves ankles and feet suck. Lower back / hip pain sucks. Slept well yesterday because I took a unisom and got almost 7 uninterrupted hours!! Vents/questions/concerns: the nursery is a disaster. We did get a mini crib from a friend so if nothing else, there's a crib in there for him haha. We just have boxes and piles of things on the floor of his stuff. We started to get a few gifts and we just throw it in his room and haven't touched anything. I should start to do something but without furniture / a dresser it's kind of impossible, I think. I feel so tired and out of sorts lately. Like pregnancy brain plus tired just makes me so apathetic. Like I want to sit and respond to everyone's posts but I just lose focus and then get sleepy. Working nights is taking its toll on me these days and I can't deal right now. And the idea of two more months of nights gives me anxiety. I am really struggling to stay awake lately even after a good sleep. I also am sad that I've officially gained 30+ lbs. a lot of my scrub pants at work are getting too tight and today I literally couldn't pull a pair up. I think I need to buy some maternity pants. I know I shouldn't let it get to me, but I was hoping to stay under 30 lbs and seeing the scale go up I'm just like ☹️ Of course my lack of exercise doesn't help. At least my coworkers say it looks like I'm all only belly. But I know the truth!! Oh well. QOTW: What is one thing you've always wanted to learn how to do? I would love to be a great cook. That does it quickly. I made a dish last night. Recipe said prep was 20min. Took me 40 I'm so effing slow. I feel like an inadequate adult / mother because my mom was such a cook and I suck at it. I wish I were rich enough to have a full time personal chef.

addymac, Hi Twin, I could have written your whole check in, I feel so similar on sooooo many fronts! Big hugs How far along are you? 31+2 How big is baby? Head of Romaine Lettuce Any appointments this week? No, nothing till the end of next week How are you feeling? Like everyone else. Sleeping like shit, achy legs which are annoying and now the new symptoms are super hot feet at night (no swelling though) and insomnia. I have been waking up at random times for no reason of course and its taking me hours to fall back asleep, ugghhhhh Vents/questions/concerns: I'm in the same boat with the nursery, have moved the desk out of there and that is the extent. Still need to paint the crib, assemble the dresser, paint the room and continue moving stuff we have stored out of there. I have zero motivation to do any of it and the more the weeks go by, its just getting worse QOTW: What is one thing you've always wanted to learn how to do? Another vote for being a good cook and not taking eleventy hours to make a meal. I'm so slow in the kitchen. I also wish I could draw and was artistic. MH is so good at that stuff so I'm hoping my two daughters take after him in that sense

How far along are you? 31 + 2
How big is baby? Double heads of lettuce
Any appointments this week? Not until next week
How are you feeling? It's been really tough. I'm very thankful all is well with the twins, but sleep is non existent, I'm in constant pain from the belly distension, and shortness of breath stops me from doing most things. I'm down to commuting for work 2 days a week, but it's hard to get anything done from home with a toddler. My mom and MIL are both traveling for the next few weeks (out of necessity) and any help has been really hard to find.
Vents/questions/concerns: Toddler has been acting out which has been another concern/source of stress.
QOTW: What is one thing you've always wanted to learn how to do? Knitting or sewing.

How far along are you? 31 weeks today! How big is baby? The size of a foam finger or romaine lettuce Any appointments this week? Tomorrow we have our bi-weekly appointment and our second birthing class. How are you feeling? Same old-feet are swollen, sciatica is bothering me in the car and in bed, and acid reflux. So nothing new, I'm fine. Vents/questions/concerns: Same vent too-I want this nursery finished and I want it finished now! I seriously think it's never going to happen. It's really making me anxious. QOTW: What is one thing you've always wanted to learn how to do? Knit or crochet. My cousin knitted me an adorable Hungry Caterpillar outfit for the baby and now I really, really want to learn. kristyw, I'm sorry you are dealing with sickness in your house! muscari, I really want to do our tour soon. We had a birthing class yesterday and a lot of the information I knew but it was specific to our hospital so it was nice hearing about what the hospital provides, how many rooms they have, what they do with the baby after birth, security, etc. That stuff was helpful. addymac, I often find prep times in magazines, etc. are BS. I also find that it you take an hour on your grocery day and prep veggies and such it helps. I meal plan on Saturdays and grocery shop Sundays so then on Sunday I usually wash all of my fruit and cut up enough for a fruit salad for the week and I was and cut up any veggies we'll be using for the next few days. When I'm working full time that really helps to cut down on prep time. Is it bad that I'm glad no one else is making progress on the nursery either? I was really freaking out about it but I feel better knowing it's most of us having this problem. If I wasn't pregnant I'd just haul everything out of there myself and paint it but, you know, I'm not supposed to lift all that stuff on my own.....

How far along are you? 31 + 2 How big is baby? Ultrasound said 4lbs today. Any appointments this week? Today I had an ultrasound and OB appointment. Baby is breech. Measuring slightly above normal, but nothing to be concerned about. Discussed scheduling c-section, which kind of bums me out - I don't care about having a vaginal birth and the small risk to baby if my uterus ruptures isn't worth trying to me - but, I just hate picking someone's birthdate. How are you feeling? HOT! I also feel uncomfortable a lot and I don't remember it being this early last time, but I wonder if the baby being breech makes it worse. Vents/questions/concerns: How do women manage summer pregnancies without AC? QOTW: What is one thing you've always wanted to learn how to do? I've tried learning to knit a few times from my grandmother, but I always forgot how to do it when I'd get home. I wish I had learned another language and sign language always seemed like a good thing to learn.

How far along are you? 31 weeks
How big is baby? Romaine lettuce
Any appointments this week? No, only on the even weeks.
How are you feeling? Achy. Tired. Getting punched in the vag way too frequently.
Vents/questions/concerns: The list of pre-baby to do's is way too long. Not enough free weekends to put H to work between now and my due date. I'm regretting being cool with him being gone for a bachelor party this weekend (plus Fri/Mon for the traveling).
QOTW: What is one thing you've always wanted to learn how to do? Sewing would be cool and practical. I'd also like to learn to play guitar just for fun.

34 weeks 1d. Baby is the size of a cabbage.
No upcoming appointments with my OB but I start PT Friday for some really bad hip pain. I think I upset an old running injury. It sucks. Being pg and carrying around a toddler do not mix!
Q: Drive a stick-up. It seems like a good life skill!

Ok I've made some progress on the nursery. On wednesday we moved out the vanity and got it into our bedroom. Yesterday we finished getting things out of the room that need to be out. Today we moved the furniture we are keeping in there away from the walls and I'm taping the entire room today so that we can be ready to paint. It isn't much but I do feel like we've made progress.
Also, we finished our birthing classes. The first one wasn't very good but last night we talked about what the hospital provides, what we need to bring, how to go about getting checked in, breathing techniques, relaxation techniques, and a few other things which was helpful.
Had an appointment yesterday as well and baby boy is measuring right on with a good heartrate and all of my bloodwork came back good too!

mrshall1027, ahh I love the size of your baby *g* that's one huge jar of nutella mmm! I hope DD will soon be used to her new sleeping arrangements and will sleep through the night again. Glad to hear the SPD is better! maybe seeing the PT once would be beneficial anyway, she could possible give you some hints and tips what to do if it does come back? kristyw, I was thinking the same re the size of a motorcycle helmet when I saw it pop up on my app! That's huge, bigger then my bump I think even. I'd have to grab my helmet and measure lol. Hope your toddler feels much better soon! We are way behind on house projects and the nursery etc as well.. so you're not alone if that helps you feel any better! jexxa, a pomolo is a citrus fruit, sorta like a grapefruit but sweeter I believe. I'm sorry, I think I missed the kidney issue (or maybe pregnancy brain lol) but am glad babygirl is doing well and things seem to be okay!? addymac, one good thing about getting laid off out of the blue: no more scrambling to fit into my lab coat! There's been days I hardly changed out of my jammies haha - though I guess since I've been on bedrest pretty much for 3.5 weeks due to my ankle that was sort of fitting too? How long till you can go on leave? I can't imagine how rough it must be to be working nights constantly while this pregnant - and they're longer shifts too right? jt2378, I've been feeling superhot as well, especially at night. Drives MH nuts as I want to sleep with ALL the windows open and the fan on and he's like "where's my blanket" lol. happyfeet9, sorry to hear things are so rough! *hugs* It sucks being SoB so easily, and is really limiting! Even though baby still leaves some room for my lungs lol my heart issues have been causeing shortness of breath since around 14 weeks and I dare not think how it may progress once baby starts pushing into my lungs as well. king26, I hope your appointment went well and that the second birthing class was interesting. Were you able to schedule the hospital tour yet? As for your nurserye - it WILL be finished at some point, somehow, I'm sure! Yay for having made some progress already! bsouls, sorry baby is breach and you may have other option then a scheduled c-section. Baby still has a few weeks to wiggle around and find another position though, fx! Will they try do a version if baby is still breach in a few weeks from now? As for your Q about how pregnant women survive the summer heat without A/C... I'll let you know once we reach autumn!! *moans and melts* lol. Normally I can handle the heat mostly okay but we just had a heatwave this week (finally cooled downsome after thunderstorms last night) and I thought I was gonne die *dramatic pose*!! pennylane, I'm glad babygirls feet and hands aren't near my vag, that sounds painful! yellowcat, I really hope that PT will ease your pain some!

muscari They said they won't do a version since I already had a c-section with my first. They said there is a risk the scar could open. I'm not sure if other office do it here, but mine won't.

Ahh that makes sense I guess! Well here is to hoping baby may change positions still, and you have more options available for how to give birth!
