Hump Day - Wednesday

Just got home from the doctor and target. S’s urinalysis came back slightly abnormal so we are starting antibiotics for a couple days until the culture comes back. The nurse was super obnoxious but the girls loved her. (She also kept calling me mom)

Today is my 8th anniversary of my first date with MH. We went out for a really nice dinner, saw The Town, and then talked in the diner in till almost 3 am.
He has open house tonight so he won’t be home until after nine. I picked up a gluten-free pizza for him at Doninos and left a Post-it on it.
Just as good as that first date, right?

I left the link up on my computer for the bunk beds I'm getting the boys. With the intention of leaving them as just 2 twins unless they requested bunk beds. Well now Matthew saw them and wants bunk beds immediately..

peachsmama, classic parenting mistake. MH showed my girls a bunk bed at Costco over a year ago and they still talk about it and ask when they're getting one. Um, a quarter til never.

Layla has already started talking about bunk beds for her and the baby. Sweet girl, you got a looooong wait, and I doubt you guys will ever even share a room.

Ugh. I just finished eating a delicious dinner of chili and cinnamon rolls... and then got sick. What a waste. I really hope whatever the issue was is done and I’m not stuck in the bathroom all night.

Speaking of dinner... flamingo I made the wild rice casserole and we like it a lot! I actually made it Sunday and put it in the oven Tuesday. I forgot to buy water chestnuts and to look for the fresh breadcrumbs at Publix. I also left off the almonds on purpose. The only thing I may do different next time is adjust the oil/butter so it’s a little less heavy.

Hi! This is the first I've been on all day, work's been so busy. But I'm now heading to Nashville for 2 days in early November and then back to Calgary in late November or early December. I can't complain since I haven't travelled for work since July and I'll probably get another few months free after these trips.

Anyhow Chase has been freakishly clingy lately, which has been a bit stressful. Colin is behaving a bit better, I think making friends and learning so much everyday is keeping him more positive, despite still being exhausted. It is crazy to see how much he's retaining and improving, he's a little sponge.

I need to go hang out with DH. He's a bit bummed over the Yankees loss last night and the season being over, so I should try to distract him!

Glad you enjoyed it! I meant to tell you and it completely slipped my mind...I make my own bread crumbs with regular sandwich bread. Just kind of crumble it. Sorry I left that part out, but if you do it again you can make a note.

Work is crazy!!!! Apparently people have been going to my director and letting him know they don’t like the idea of me not being on my current team. His admin told me of 5 people plus I know of 1 more who is talking with him tomorrow. IDk what that all means but I’m keeping on track for moving.

Your current team is saying they don’t want you to switch teams? Are they scared they may actually have to do the work?

No other people from other teams we support don’t want me to leave because I’m the one who actually gets things done. The 1 I know who is talking with my Director tomorrow is bluntly telling him.
