Hugs pixiepink24. That would be great if baby arrives when dad is far away!! I'll keep my fingers crossed for you that happens.

DD randomly started spitting up a little throughout the day yesterday. She's been really great and hasn't had much issue with this so far. We're attempting a family outing to the zoo today. Took me what feels like forever to get ready. Got DD in her car seat, went to grab a few last minute things, came back and..... She had spit up ALL over herself and her seat straps and buckles. Seriously? So I had to start at the beginning again and re-dress her, clean the damn seat, might as well get a fresh diaper, then of course she wants to eat again.......
We hadn't even left the house and already I felt defeated. I was about to just stay home, but I made myself go. Hopefully this doesn't turn out to be a horrible outting.

Babies have some really inconvenient timing! I got spit up on today too trying to get out the door. It seems like the biggest ones come when DS2 eats after not having burped after his last feeding. Almost like the bubble finally comes up but brings all the new milk with it.

As I've mentioned, my DS was a major spitter upper. I've got tips for this! Put on a bib and/or drape a burp cloth over baby's chest before you try to put them in the car seat! Then buckle the straps under the bib. I then used a pacifier clip to clip the bib down to the straps between the chest clip and crotch buckle, that way baby can't flop the bib up on their face when you can't see/reach them. My cousin's kids were all spitters too - she put a couple bibs on her kids in the carseat so that when they spit up all over one, she could just take that one off and have a fresh bib waiting underneath 😉 Brilliant!

We have about 14634543 bibs that DD never used that I just looked at yesterday.

Our zoo outing ended up being a success! I was still worried that it was gonna be bad when we hardly made it from the parking lot through the main entrance before DD wanted to eat 😑 So I sat there and fed her for 20-30 minutes while MH and FIL took DS to get started seeing the animals. But after that the rest of the day worked out well!

DS and I had the strangest night last night. Up unitl, the longest he’s gone between night feeds is like 2.5 hours. Last night he slept from about 10:30PM-3:00AM, our longest stretch ever! That was amazing except I couldn’t get him to go back to sleep until like almost 7AM. Just lots of fussing, burping, feeding on and off. Now it’s 10:15 AM and he’s still asleep, and my boobs are ready to explode. We have to leave for his doctors appointment in an hour so we’ll have to get up soon!

DS2 had his one month appointment this morning (he's one month tomorrow). He's up 2.2 lbs and 1.5 in since birth!! It's so nice not having weight gain issues like we did with DS1.

Nymeria - Great weight gain! And I agree, it's so nice and so much less stressful! I put DD in a onsie yesterday that was still baggy on DS at two months! He wore NB for probably six weeks or so and she's already growing out of NB. I have a baby scale thanks to DS's slow weight gain and I'm tempted to get it out - not because I'm worried about her weight, but because I curious how big she actually is! Haha! She seems noticeably bigger to me after that two week growth spurt eat-a-thon.

I've contemplated buying a scale just because I'm curious too. He's smaller than DD but seems to be growing well. She was out of NB at this point but they still fit him but not for long, I don't think.

I've been trying to put dd down all day so I could have a few minutes with her not attached to me and was failing miserably. Finally I decided to put her on her stomach on her play mat and (for today at least) it was a miracle she stayed asleep for over an hour!

My DS was a fussy, gassy, non-sleeping mess. After a lot of soul searching, I started letting him nap on his tummy when he was around 8 weeks. I was so nervous and watched him like a hawk. But it was a total game changer. He actually napped and then had less fussy awake times. To this day he is still a tummy sleeper.

DS2 is napping on his stomach right now. He's on the couch next to me so I can watch him the whole time, but he naps well like this and it helps work out gas bubbles.

DD farted several times while sleeping on her stomach and you could visibly see her relax after each fart haha. I tried putting her on her stomach again tonight but dd1 yelled in her face "wake up Lily!" Which is her favorite phrase right now, and of course Lily woke up, so I'm going to have to rethink where to let her sleep on her stomach where I can still constantly see her without dd1 getting in her face.

I was telling my H today that I’m consistently 10-15 mins behind my goal leave time since P came along. So I was considering just moving up my goal time by 10 mins..... he told me to just wake up earlier.... that’s all well and good until the baby wants to eat 5 mins before you walk out the door.

So we are trying P out in her room in her crib tonight. I’m having some feelings about it. But she sleeps like junk in the pack and play and cosleeper. But on a real bed she sleeps ok. We didn’t move M over until she was like 5 weeks. But right now I will try anything for everyone to safely sleep.

We were still up every 2 hours but the sleep in between feedings was quiet and calm. The major downside is now I guess I am the only one that gets her....

39/40 weeks today, depending on how you look at it. Finally back at my own home since the kid's dad is out Of town. I'm hoping that gets baby moving. Did last bit of Baby laundry and organized the diapers. Also finally have Fall like temperatures. Ideal baby birthing weather!!!
Ballet was this morning and headed to our neighborhood get together. Possibly grocery shopping. Just waiting on little guy....,
