When is your appointment? Got back an hour ago from my appt. mid day today
What type of appointment? Follow up after my emergency cerclage
Any feels? I am super frightened at the prospect of delivering before 28 wks. However I just crossed the 24 wk viabiity threshold yesterday so that is a small relief.
AYA - After Your Appointment It seems like recurring contractions like I had this past weekend could be a normal thing for me and we're hoping that if it does happen again that I would get sent home again! I was advised to stay within 30 mins of the hospital/s that can deal with my situation.
How was it? I am stable at the moment with no changes since the surgery which is a good thing! and hope to keep it that way until cerclage removal at 36 wks!!
Learn anything new? Yes...every pregnancy is different and to trust your instincts and not 2nd guess yourself about being paranoid. I was reassured the hospital staff is understanding and would rather have you come in and get sent home for just being paranoid rather than not. I also did some research this weekend about hospitals in the area that have different Levels of NICU and to not go to a free standing ER but one attached to a hospital in extreme cases because they are not equipped to handle pre-term birth and could jeopardize the baby's life. Also I did not know this but if anyone doesn't, just don't bother going to a free standing ER ( they're popping up every where near me here ) and go to urgent care if open or ER attached to a hospital. I was also told if you really are in need of an ER, you should be calling 911 anyways.
New feels/vents/etc.? Lots. I broke down this weekend and ugly cried but I feel better to have done some research and talked to the doctors about having a plan in place if things go south.
When is your next appointment? Routine OB appt in a couple of weeks and hoping for same stable results!

duskymonkey You are handling this well for just finding out. I'd be doing all the research too. We are here though if more craziness happens. Please keep us in the loop - we care (and we all get the feeling of being overly paranoid and over thinking things!)

When is your appointment? Tuesday!
What type of appointment? Regular check
Any feels? It's with my favorite OB! I love this woman and am glad it's her rotation. I trust her completely and appreciate how honest she is with me. She never makes the appt feel rushed and answers all my questions (and tells me to step away from Dr. Google if need be). It's hard to keep doctors in our rural-ish area so I'm always worried she'll leave. I actually have a lot of anxiety about this as my daughter's pediatrician just informed us she will be leaving in August before the new baby comes and one of the OBs just left this month.
Ok feels over....

But managed to get my shit together after I thought of putting a strategy and plan in place. You guys have been amazing! Feel very supported here. Also hope your appt. goes really well.

I have a regular OB appt tomorrow (Thurs) with my favorite doctor of the group. I'm going to express my concerns that were found at our anatomy scan to her and see what she has to say about it. I hope to get A LOT of reassurance from her!

I have a regular OB appointment on Friday. I've been putting off seeing other doctors at my practice, but this week I'll see someone other than my doctor. I like this one a lot, so I'm looking forward to it. Can't wait to hear the heartbeat.

After Your Appointment
How was it? - short and quick as expected
New feels/vents/etc.? - a med student was shadowing today. It doesn't phase me in the least (there was one there when I delivered DD so at this point I have no issues with people seeing any and all parts of me). I was surprised the med student measured my belly and did the heart rate but Dr. was there the whole time so no real biggie.
When is your next appointment? - July 18th, regular appt and glucose 1 hr test. Plus I'll meet the new OB they just hired.

When is your appointment? Tomorrow morning
What type of appointment? Normal check up
Any feels? I always get anxious, never fails. I haven't been feeling her a whole lot yet, so it will be nice to hear her heartbeat.
AYA - After Your Appointment
How was it? Waiting in the waiting room took longer than the appointment! HR 153
Learn anything new? I asked about logistics and timing with the office letting try to VBAC vs a RCS- if everything is ok they will let me go a week past my due date. But there are a lot of factors that get looked at. Fingers crossed.
New feels/vents/etc.? Not really...it was nice to hear her heartbeat, and she was super active after my appointment.
When is your next appointment? July 20th- Rhogram shot and finding out the results of the glucose test I have to take 2 days before.

AYA - After Your Appointment
How was it? It went well. I forgot about the low-lying placenta from my anatomy scan, so she checked on that too and it had moved up, so that was good. We also got a clear shot of a hand with 5 fingers waving.
Learn anything new? I gained about 8 pounds since my last appointment, oops. But the doc said she usually sees a jump at this point and to just be mindful.
New feels/vents/etc.? Vent - it took FOREVER. My appointment was at 3, and I didn't go back for the ultrasound until about 3:45 and didn't see the doctor for the rest of the appt until about 4:15 or so. However, I saw the doctor I loved from my last pregnancy. She just has such good vibes about her.
When is your next appointment? July 20 bright and early for the glucose test

Had my weekly check up today!
AYA - After Your Appointment
How was it? Good! The baby is growing right on track and was super active during the ultrasound. The doctor said my SCH is finally starting to clear up and it seems like the debris in the amniotic sac is decreasing. That's good news because less SCH/blood touching the amniotic membranes and less debris means lower risk of PPROM. The doctor was so optimistic, that he said we can move our appointments to every other week. Such a relief!
Learn anything new? If all goes well this next week (no water breaking and no contractions), I might be put on modified bedrest starting at 24 weeks. That means I could actually leave the house and go out for a meal or go to business meetings, provided I take it very, very easy and don't walk/stand more than 5-10 minutes at a time.
New feels/vents/etc.? Super happy about the good appointment. My body has been nothing but problems this entire pregnancy, and now it seems things are finally improving. Fingers crossed the trend continues.
When is your next appointment? 2 weeks from today, so July 6th.
