Weeks pregnant/Due date: 16w4d / March 21
Baby is the size of a: Action figure or dill pickle
FTM/STM/TTM/etc: STM
Team: Blue 💙
Appointments: Tomorrow for weekly fetal tones.
Symptoms: Constipation 😣 I haven't been as good at taking the fiber gummies I got because it was getting better but that was a mistake. I also get so worn out so easily, like I'm out of shape, can't catch my breath have to sit down. It's making me feel very pathetic, lol. Maybe tmi but omg my sex drive is insane. 1-2 a week was always fine with me and I'm after it every single day now. H isn't complaining.
Milestones: I'm definitely feeling movement now, this weekend it was much more obvious.
Rants/Raves/Vents: I feel a little more nervous that I've made it to 16 weeks, which is when the high risk dr said we really needed to start monitoring fetal tones so that voice creeps in saying we're more at risk now, but I know there's nothing we can do anyways and it's a very small chance anything will go wrong. But ugh!
GTKY: Do you decorate for fall or Halloween? Very little. I really only decorate inside for Christmas, our lack of mantels or even shelving in the living areas makes it more difficult. Outside we have a cheesy blow up for Halloween (3 dogs dressed up as ghosts) and a "zombie" that comes out of the ground. We made a ghost face for the front door too with construction paper, and I think I have a string of little pumpkin lights I need to find...
I've been wanting to get a flag pole and holiday flags to hang up around the year too but haven't gotten around to it. We just bought this house last year so I'm slowly collecting things I want after season when they're on clearance, haha.

Weeks pregnant/Due date: 12 + 5 / April 17th Baby is the size of a: peach FTM/STM/TTM/etc: STM Team: Blue Appointments: October 18th Symptoms: My nausea is gone, yay! This kid is nuts though because all I want to eat is red meat. This definitely did not happen with my daughter. Still cannot eat chicken or most veggies. Milestones: I must be losing my mind, because I swear I have been able to feel him moving the past week. It's way too early, right? Rants/Raves/Vents: Nada GTKY: Do you decorate for fall or Halloween? I have some fall decorations, but none Halloween specific. I want more, but I think I will use pambee's trick of shopping clearance after the season.

@ges072115 I started feeling something around 13 weeks and also thought I had to be crazy, but it's been sporadically consistent 😂 so I'm convinced it was him. I believe Tlex said she felt movement really early on this time too, I've read it's more common with subsequent pregnancies!

Weeks pregnant/Due date: 12 weeks today - due 4/22
Baby is the size of a: plum
FTM/STM/TTM/etc: FTM
Team: finding out!
Appointments: this Wed, 10/10
Symptoms: Dysgeusia, nausea, constipation
Milestones: 12 weeks! I can't believe we're almost out of 1st tri.
Rants/Raves/Vents: We're announcing publicly on Wednesday if everything at our appointment is good. I'm super nervous. We took a photo with a onesie that says "and then there were 5" with 2 hearts, 2 dog paws, and a little tiny red heart, a rubber ducky, an ultrasound photo and a board that says "oh baby!". Not super creative, but it's so sweet <3
GTKY: Do you decorate for fall or Halloween? I decorate for fall (pumpkins, gourds, leaves, etc). Hopefully it starts feeling more fall-like here in NC - it was almost 90* yesterday. I generally dislike Halloween since I don't do scary/ gruesome stuff. I fully admit this puts me in the lame category. Like, I've cried during movies like the Blair Witch Project and Scream. Ironically, I'm totally fine while home alone, at night, traveling by myself lol.

Milestones: I must be losing my mind, because I swear I have been able to feel him moving the past week. It's way too early, right? Ahhh I'm so jealous about this! I feel like that would lessen my anxiety, although I can picture myself then being like, "why can't I feel the baby now?" every 4 seconds.

I didn't feel my first pregnancy until well after 20 weeks -- I think I was 22 weeks when I finally felt her move. I know how you feel though, I nearly forgot I was pregnant because I had no "pregnancy" symptoms but also couldn't feel the baby move. Then when I finally did feel her I got nervous if I didn't feel consistent movement!

@ges072115 I’ve only been craving fruit and veggies, which is so weird. I’m pretty positive that I ate exactly zero fruit or vegetables when I was pregnant with D1.

FTM/STM/TTM/etc: STM
Team: Pink 💕

GTKY: Do you decorate for fall or Halloween? Yes, I put up fall decorations in early September and then pulled out a couple Halloween additions Oct 1. I've been eating a ton of fruit to try to make up for my lack of veggies, but I'm jealous of your veggie cravings. Pregnancy is so weird!!

Weeks pregnant/Due date: 16w2d, March 3 eviction date
Baby is the size of a: 5 oz and 6 oz (measured today at ultrasound!)
FTM/STM/TTM/etc: STM and TTM (twins)
Team: Double blue 💙💙
Appointments: Trying to set up the 20 week scan at my MFM first week of November, for some reason I'm not in their system so they need my OB to fax in the order... so weird because I've already been there. Also need to schedule my 20 week check up at OB. MFM said I'd get an 18 week scan, but OB said it wasn't needed, so I need to follow up on that too.
Honestly the OB today was so nice, but seemed unsure of some things. I also asked if I needed to eat more protein or take extra folic acid and she was like, nah. "Carbs and fat have the same calories per gram but protein is less, so you can have more of it." Not true... carbs and protein are the same? She said to fill my plate with half fruits and veg, a quarter protein, and a quarter carbs. So no fat at all?? Do I know more about nutrition than my OB? I know it's not their speciality, but man. I'm just going to stick with my balanced diet as much as possible, twins are growing well so that's good!
Symptoms: Tired, bleeding gums sometimes when I brush.
Milestones: Feeling movement and a good 16 week scan! Twins are measuring very close to each other, what a relief. I get such anxiety going into appts.
Rants/Raves/Vents: See above!
GTKY: Do you decorate for fall or Halloween? Yep! Hanging lighted ghosts outside, mums, some pumpkin decorations.
Share any U/S or bump pics if you'd like: I will try to take a pic of my scan today! We only got one good profile shot, the other baby's head was hiding behind my belly button, lol.
ETA pic of one baby (other was hiding so we didn't get a good profile, although they did get all the measurements)*poof*

Weeks pregnant/Due date: 17 wks 3 days, Mar 16,
Baby is the size of a: chipmunk!
FTM/STM/TTM/etc: ttm
Team: finding out
Appointments: regular appt next week, anatomy scan on the 30th!
Symptoms: I woke up so nauseous this morning and came very close to throwing up. Thankfully by lunch I felt better enough to eat but then I was too full and felt sick. I just can't win haha. Still tossing and turning at night.
Rants/Raves/Vents: I had an awesome Thanksgiving(Canadian). My family came to our house (about a 4 hour drive) and did the cooking and clean up! I am very thankful for them and thankful I did not have to not make that trek to them this year.
GTKY: Do you decorate for fall or Halloween? Yup! We bought some gourds for the table and the girls and I put up a ghost garland and some spiders. I also helped them make their play kitchen into a spooky kitchen with spider webs, a severed arm, and some fun decorations. We will probably add more as they make some art throughout October. We also grew our own pumpkins this year so we have those on the porch!

GTKY: Do you decorate for fall or Halloween? Not yet, but the girls and I will make some stuff. We’re big on seasonal bunting and twinkle lights.
Share any U/S or bump pics if you'd like: I’m hopeful I’ll get an ultrasound peek at my appointment this week but if not my anatomy scan is on the 25th, cannot wait.

pambee Why are they monitoring fetal tones weekly? Forgive me if I missed something. I don't know how deep I ever got into it here. I carry some antibodies that if transferred through the placenta could cause issues with his heart muscles, which could cause fetal heart block. It's a very small risk (we didn't even know about it with E, it wasn't until the bloodwork after my losses this year that they found it) so it's really just a precaution to keep an eye on it and make sure his heart rate stays in the "normal" range. After today's appointment with a nurse I'm not sure why I'm even going 🙄 she had no idea what she was doing and she never actually found his HB, just whatever else you can hear (either mine or the blood flow or something?) but she decided it was him. Even though it was only registering at 119, and he's normally around 155/160. I kept telling her this and that I didn't think it was him, and that we usually hear him in a different place but she was clueless. I went home and found him myself right away (HB measuring 150s and in the exact spot I told her....) So at this point I don't understand why I'm going weekly if they aren't even doing anything if it is abnormal like that. Oh well. I'm just glad I have my doppler at home to check myself and feel assured (I wasn't concerned at the appt this morning because I had found him last night and knew she wasn't looking in the right place). I see my actual OB every other week so that's worth my time at least.

Weeks pregnant/Due date: 12+5
Baby is the size of a: plum
FTM/STM/TTM/etc: stm
Team: finding out
Appointments: 11/2
Symptoms: my stomach is getting huge so much faster this time; tired; bad taste in my mouth
Milestones: good NT scan
Rants/Raves/Vents: I haven’t heard about the blood work part of the testing from my appointment. I don’t know how long it is supposed to take so not sure if is back yet. My doctors office never posts thing online either which drives me crazy.
GTKY: Do you decorate for fall or Halloween? A little. Just some pumpkins and jack o lanterns. We have some Halloween toys for DD and she loves them.

pambee That is obnoxious and I would probably mention it to the OB. They shouldn’t have someone on staff or at least doing that type of appointment if they don’t know what they’re doing. When I went last week the nurse spent a good 10 minutes searching for the right HB and patiently reassuring me that it was all normal.

I did feel like the nurse was getting frazzled and maybe embarrassed she wasn't seeming to find it, I was fine and stayed calm/patient the whole time because I get that you don't always find it right away but then...It got a little ridiculous. I realized after I left I didn't catch her name, only the name of the nurse who walked me back, but surely it'll be on record somewhere.

pambee, I would definitely mention it to your provider. If you didn't have a home doppler, can you imagine how stressful? That's not fair to you, they are taking up your time. Maybe you can request another person?

I keep imagining how big I was with DD (spoiler alert, it was huge), and I am still wrapping my head around 2 in there as well. Like, how will it all fit? I read something about "twin skin" where you stretch marks get stretch marks in the other direction, and I almost cried.

Maybe you can request another person? That's why I was so annoyed. If I didn't have my own to know she was doing it wrong I would have been freaking out. Last nurse visit was with someone else so I think it's just random-whoever's free at the moment. If I can't request not her/someone specific I'll just be more direct if I end up with her again. I was kicking myself a little for not saying more while I was there, for the sake of anyone else she works with in the meantime...but I also wondered if she was maybe new and still learning? There was another nurse in the room today but she didn't seem to know what to do either so I'm not sure why she was there.

So...at my first OB appointment in September, I already hit the highest weight with DD's pregnancy/my highest weight in my life til now. I worked really hard to lose the baby weight last time (I was still techincally overweight per BMI after losing the baby weight), and I am a little worried about losing it this time. My mom just really got down to her twin pre preg weight and the twins are 25

Appointments: 10/19 with my OB Symptoms: Tired, sore nips, emotional at times Milestones: 15 weeks! Rants/Raves/Vents: Checking my blood sugar 4 times a Day is getting old, and my fingers are sore. I know it’s best for baby, so I’m trucking on. I borrowed a friend’s doppler and found the baby’s heartbeat! Nice and strong at 165! That’s the first time I’ve tried to doppler myself. H got to hear it too, and he smiled. It’s such a magical sound. GTKY: Do you decorate for fall or Halloween? I decorate a bit for fall, but not enough! I don’t really decorate for Halloween, except for maybe a carved pumpkin. Share any U/S or bump pics if you'd like: This is from this past Sunday at 15 weeks!
