After I left work, I get to soccer practice and M2 is sitting on MH looking like he doesn’t feel good. When I reach them, MH says they told him he didn’t take a nap today. When Mh picked him up around 530, he was asleep. His breathing seems labored and he felt hot, so I took him home and gave him a breathing treatment and Motrin- while he napped. He has since perked up, but still coughing a lot. Why can’t these germs leave my kid alone. Can he have one month illness free?? Gah. So frustrating. Maybe you need some blood work?

It's so tough when they're sick and still so little lahdeedah. Here's hoping he'll get the worst of it out of the way this fall and winter will be better for you guys (we can hope, right??)

I want to switch his daycare first to see if it’s his environment. I just have to wait for a spot to open up.

I was just hopeful after his tubes. Once he got over that weird thing that happened right after, he was a different kid. A week or so ago, my mom mentioned how he seemed so much better and that’s when it clicked for me that he started to be so rambunctious post-tubes. Always on the go, laughing and smiling. I had just told MH this weekend, this is the “real” M2, thinking we would see far less sick days with him. Ha. Sorry. Just needed a place to vent. tgrimes MH had a lot of asthma/allergy issues as a young kid, so this may just be something of that nature, too. M2 gets wheezy with colds, so we keep an eye on it. I realize switching day cares may not do a thing for us, if it is that.

lahdeedah feel free to vent anytime. This mom thing is hard. There is no instruction manual and if you kind of figure things out with 1 kid the other kid is completely different. Hugs lady! You got this!

Maybe you need some blood work? Maybe. I want to switch his daycare first to see if it’s his environment. I just have to wait for a spot to open up. Hopefully, a new place will do the trick. do you know how often they're cleaning and/or disinfecting at the place he's at currently?

lahdeedah, I hear you. I actually just got B tested for allergies (he's allergic to peanuts, which I knew), but he has basically had a cold his whole life. S has the best immune system and is very rarely sick (like I could count on 1 hand) so it just seemed so odd to me. Everything came back negative, and the allergist said he's just blessed with a shittier immune system. Thankfully B rarely even notices, but his cough sometimes makes me wince it's so bad It's tough. Vent away. I hope the new DC does the trick.

Hopefully, a new place will do the trick. do you know how often they're cleaning and/or disinfecting at the place he's at currently? I always see them cleaning in the main hallway. The director herself mops and helps pull trash and clean. I think they do the rooms every afternoon and possibly at nap time, too. Not sure. Some other things were making me think about switching him and after all the illness in the past few months, I set my mind that I need to just do it.
