pootsen I think I’d call again to get a further explanation as to what happened. It appears it was caught right away but I’d still like to know what broke down. I’d also probably want to get your kids take on what happened to see if he actually got “lost” and gage my reaction to the situation based on his account.

Hi, all. I was confused for a minute looking around for the Monday thread.
I left work early because I'm getting sick and we were done anyway. I probably could have hung in there if we were busy, but the rest of the week is going to be busy so I figured I should take the time while I can. I'm lying down watching a Hallmark movie.
I want to make tea but also don't want to get up. Hmm.

I'm at work. We are getting a new AC installed at home and H decided to start painting the bedroom yesterday so our house is in a bit of disarray at the moment. I'm sure he is going to want to finish painting tonight which will mean moving furniture etc. We are supposed to have family pictures taken Sat and I am still trying to figure out outfits. I think I might sneak out to Target in a bit to look for something for DS1. I also need dog food lol. Its been rainy and yucky most of the weekend but I think the rest of the week will be cool at least so I am looking forward to that. For family pics, I stuck with a fall color theme of navy, wine, and mustard yellow, with some neutrals sprinkled in including brown and light pink. I am excited to get our pics back partially because I thought our coordination was on point and I was proud of it. 😂

Does anyone else's kid not eat meat? I keep offering it but H is not interested. Not worried just curious.

Also on the topic of eating, the pediatrician said H will start to decrease his formula intake as his solids increase. When his teeth aren't bothering him he eats well but still takes 24oz of formula over the course of the day. This is what he ate a few times last week to give an idea: a 4oz yogurt and 1/2-1cup of cut up fruit, 2 mini muffins (swt potato, banana, and pb), 1/4 cup chickpeas, 1-2 tbsp feta, 1/2 cup farro tossed with pesto, 1tbsp roasted red peppers, 4oz apple sauce, package of mum mum's, 1 cup small pasta with marinara, 1/4 cup steamed zucchini, 1/4-1/2 an apple steamed with cinnamon. I can't imagine him eating more than this at his age. And apparently today he was mad every time one of the kids at DC had food and he didn't lol.

Have you tried putting the meat in pesto sauce since H already likes it?

Trust me he doesn't eat like this everyday but I got some good meals in him recently.

laurensc927 i wouldn't worry about no meat. I'm pretty sure I didn't try giving DD1 meat for a while.

It seems like he gets a bunch of variety anyway! I'm trying. My friend sent me a free blue apron box and he ate goat cheese and radishes because of it so I'm trying to offer anything and everything. Hopefully he'll end up being a better eater than me and MH.

laurensc927 - kids are so smart! I tried adding rotisserie chicken to DS’s meal the other day and he picked all of it out. He still hates “plain” chicken. Chili has been key to his protein intake 😂

Boys were in navy blue, DD was in mustard yellow and jean jacket and my shirt was white with the same yellow flecked in it but you can’t really see it. They looked nice. I posted a pic in the private thread.

I’m impressed with how you’ve measured and weighed everything. I literally throw some food on a plate and call it good. Here’s a handful of green beans and a few scoops of vegan mac and cheese, for instance. (That was his exact dinner tonight.) STM style right there.

I only know measurements because I know how much fits in certain containers from tracking for myself lol

I have been so terrible about offering really food because I’m struggling with dairy free recipes!

And please don't be mistaken, while my kid is a pretty good eater most of the time there was definitely a night in the not so recent past that he had 2 different kind of puffs for dinner 😂

jules1614, it’s just Annie’s cheddar style vegan mac and cheese. I use almomd milk and Miyokos vegan butter. He loves it. I have to add some seasonings to mine because I find it a little bland. It is definitely not Krafr, but not terrible. I don’t make my own because I haven’t found a cheese substitute that is soy free also that doesn’t taste weird to me. ETA: N eats a lot of meat, veggies, and fruit. I don’t make many recipes anymore but there are a few. Spaghetti is a staple once a week. I just make sure to check the sauce label for cheese.
