Good morning. I am working from home tonight and have been logged in since 5:45 since C was up playing Pirates loudly in his room at 5am! I am done around 1:30 though and getting my hair cut and colored at 2. This weekend we are going to the Cape and I am excited to get away although not excited to eat MIL's cooking all weekend.

ACL is going on for the next 2 weekends. Traffic sucks and I work too close to the action for my liking. I should have stayed home. Oddly enough, next weekend will be worse. Since OU is this weekend a lot of people are headed out of town, so you don't notice the influx of people coming to ACL as much. Next weekend will be a nightmare though. Too many people in one place at one time.
But, we're having breakfast tacos, so I'm going to sit here until I at least get those.
I'll likely be leaving early today.

Morning. I snoozed one time too many, so I was late getting M to school. In my rush, I forgot my coffee on TOP of my car when I left. It took a tumble soon after pulling out of the driveway. 🤦🏽♀️ So yeah, that’s how my morning is going.

Morning! We’re all at the dentist office. N had her teeth cleaned and h is observing. My bil is our dentist so at least the kids are scared to be here!
I’ll drop them off at preschool and daycare then head to the chiro again and wfh the rest of the day. The kids are going to ils for the weekend, hurray!

I'm actually hoping to get out of town quickly since the Kavenaugh votes and verdict from Jason Vandyke trial could all come in while we are there. I can't imagine how the city will react if VanDyke is acquitted. What a day to be involved in the judicial system, right? Drinks when I get home, for sure. |

Good morning! I’ve been thinking about painting Giovanna’s room... I have the paint.... it’s just... doing it. I ordered her some stuff for decor and most of it has come in the mail so I guess it’s time. 😒

Morning! I finally slept in my own bed again last night (DH even put on fresh sheets since he's been sick) and it was glorious. Still, I am so not in the mood to be at work, my brain is already weekending. At least it's a beautiful day and the boys were pretty well behaved this morning.
Colin's school is hosting the first school store of the year. It'll be at lunch on the first Friday of every month moving forward. They can get themed pencils, stickers and that sort of thing. It's run by the PTO so we sent him in with a few bucks. He doesn't really get how money works so it should be interesting. Actually that's probably something we should start talking about, seeing how much he loves numbers. Is it possible to overtax their brains at this age? He's learning so much right now and he's like a little sponge, but I don't want to overdo it.

M was very concerned about the tooth fairy last night and asked so many questions. How will she get in? How long will she be here? Will I see her? I usually keep a water bottle on her floor and she hid it under her bed so the tooth fairy wouldn't drink it. I told her the tooth fairy isn't like Santa but if she wanted to we could leave her some water & carrots.
She was too scared to leave her tooth under her pillow so we left it on the floor. This morning she came busting into the shower at 5:30 to show me "all of her monies." She carried it around the house with her until it was time to leave and I made her put it in her piggy bank. Too funny.

The immunologist's office called me yesterday. They scheduled me with the wrong provider so now our appointment is on the 25th. It sucks it got pushed back but at least it's not in February.

Morning! Just finished a nice walk with a new friend from MOPS; we both have little girls and older boys in school I am loving meeting some moms from our neighborhood thru this school. DH took B to school this morning and no guff from the teacher so hopefully I’m in the clear 😬🙄 He left afterwards for a reunion of some college friends at a mountain house in NC. I’m slightly jealous—he totally deserves to go, he works so hard and does so much for our family. I just wish my friends were in more of a place to do something similar. I think it’s just harder for moms to get away. Maybe next year! |

Trying not to obsess over the BK nomination process. Not a good sign when 2400 law professors, his friends, and a former supreme Court Justice say vote no...and yet he probably will still get confirmed. I don't get why they can't withdraw and just find another person that doesn't have all this baggage. I do like that one senator is like I have my daughter's wedding Saturday, sorry🤷.

Morning! I took H to school and then I went straight to the chiro’s office. DH is home again today so S stayed with him. Last night my nose became a faucet and I could not fall asleep. The only allergy med I could find in my bathroom was children’s benedryl so I took some of that and eventually fell asleep. I ran to the store and got Zyrtec after my appt so I should be good to go now. That’s what I get for dusting my living room (I’m allergic to dust mites).

Home from the chiro. He finally was able to loosen my neck up enough for a couple good cracks. Hopefully that will help this never ending headache!
I have a feeling work will be very quiet today so I plan on getting some cleaning done. We may end up having 20-30 people at our house tomorrow night 😳 so I have to prepare!

H received an email from a recruiter he has previously worked with for a position. They were back and forth on questions and the recruiter forwarded H the job description...it's for his company. Paying $6 more an hour than he currently makes. He is pissed. I told him not to get fired today.
I also called and lowered our monthly dish bill by $35 this morning, as well as transferred the balance of one credit card to a 0% interest. I'm feeling quite adulty today.

mwhip LOL, that recruiter sounds a bit slow on the uptake, that is question #1 a recruiter would ask a potential candidate--who is your current employer/what is your job. Is it for the exact same position your H is currently in? Do you think your H can leverage that info into a raise?
