Happy Monday! How was your father's day?

Father's day was pretty low key. Dh and the kids wore their matching truck tshirts. Ds1 really got a kick out of it. And we went to my dad's for dinner.
I'm feeling tired this morning. I went to bed early but the baby was up again at all hrs of the night. Since he likes to use his vocal chords he would do the oddest scream/talk/cry. At 1 pt I thought he was having a nightmare or something. I should record it.

Nothing too exciting. H watched golf for a lot off the day, and took a nap. He was pretty happy about both. Other than that, just hung out most the day!

Father's day was pretty low key for us, too. I took H out for dinner just the two of us the night before and then we got up early Sunday to go shooting before it got too hot and spent the rest of the day with the kids and my family watching movies and relaxing before going to dinner with my ILs.

Father's day was good. I even let Dh sleep in this morning.

Father's Day was pretty busy for us but it was good. We went to my parents' house in the morning and MH cooked breakfast for my dad, brothers, and I. Hung out with them for a while then headed home and did a big cookout for MH's parents, grandparents, and brother. Thankfully MH doesn't mind doing the work on his day since I'm a terrible cook. I just take care of DS and help clean up.
At work today. Don't want to be here. But that's nothing new. There are storms incoming for the afternoon/evening and I love thunderstorms so I'm hoping for a good one.
DS's 9 month appointment is tomorrow morning so at least I don't have to go to work until after lunch tomorrow.

I went to my parents' for a party with A. H stayed home to play video games. When I got home he was drinking rum in honor of his dad (who passed this year in Jan). I had a sip too. but boy do I dislike spiced rum!
CD6, and I hope this period ends soon. Pre-BCB back in the day my periods lasted 7-8 full days and I am hoping they'll be shorter.

Father's Day was nice. We picked up Starbucks for breakfast (my H's choice) and went to the playground early in the morning. I had my parents over for dinner and because my dad and husband both love lamb I made lamb stew with couscous and greek salad.
I barely slept last night due to insomnia and then my H woke the baby earlier than normal. I've been battling sleepiness all day.

DS had his 9 month appointment this morning. I was so excited for it because he seems like he was gaining well based on an at-home weight check I did last week (not the most accurate because I weigh myself, then me + him, but has been close enough in the past) but I'm pretty upset right now. We had weight issues at the beginning and he had finally been creeping back up % a few at a time each appt. Well, depending on how you round the oz from today's weigh-in he stayed at 10% or dropped to 9%.
The ped said she was happy with his growth, but I just realized it seems like his weight was recorded wrong. Today's care summary shows 17lb 15oz instead of 1.5oz so of course now I'm worried that the ped was happy with the 15oz weight when that's not actually what he was today.
I know I shouldn't be worrying about it because he's happy, healthy, growing, and hitting milestones. I sent the ped a message on the portal pointing out the wrong weight in the system so we'll see what she says, but I thought we were done with weight worries and now I'm all upset again.
ETA: I heard back from the ped less than an hour after I sent the message. She thanked me for catching the error and she's still happy with his growth. I feel much better now.

Sorry for the worry Nymeria. I can relate. Alex was born on the small side but by his 4 mo appt his growth was up in the 40 & 50 %. Then at his 6 mo his height went back down to 10%. The measurements show no height change between 4 & 6 mo. Dr said not to worry that we'll see how he does at 9 mo. I hope his 4 mo meas were wrong or something. He looks fine and I feel like he has grown longer. But us moms will worry of course. :/

Ugh, sorry you're dealing with this stuff too littlelion. I feel like length can be tough to measure since they can't stand up to be measured. If one nurse pulls their leg a little straighter than another nurse you could end up with no change or a bigger than actual change! Hope you see a boost at 9 months!

+1 to stressing about weight. I was induced 2 weeks early due to pre-e, and C was 6.1. He's gained, but he's always been around 5% on the growth chart. He gains regularly, and he's built like H (long and lean). But I still worry that he's so low on the chart. His doc has never expressed concern, but I still worry.

Almost Friday! This week has gone fast. My sister is in town and last night she was over late. And by late I mean 8:30 pm. I told her I'd drive her home after DH came home and we'd stop by a bar. During dinner I gave her a beer and told her that this was the bar. I could tell I wasn't gonna make it. I needed a small cup of coffee with lunch today.

Wish it was Friday! Busy weekend coming up. Dinner for my brother and my brother's girlfriend's birthdays (they were born a day apart in the same hospital!!). They turned 21 earlier this week so we're going out for hibachi and scorpion bowls. My parents are sad to lose their in-house DD. Saturday we're headed to the car auction at Mohegan Sun. Early morning and long day but it should be fun. Not buying, just looking. Then Sunday one of my good friends, who I haven't seen in almost a year is coming over!! He has an 11 month old and I have DS. So excited to see her and meet her daughter! littlelion - 8:30 is late for me at this point too and I've always been a night owl. I like the beer for bar swap! Good call!!

Another "MOTN" (they're all between 10-11pm) wake up last night. I had to pick him up to get him to fall back to sleep, then he woke up again 10 minutes after I put him back down. MH tried to get him back to sleep but even doing the exact same thing I do DS wouldn't calm down so I had to go back in. That second time he wouldn't stay asleep when I tried putting him down so I gave in a nursed him. Thankfully he slept from there but it meant I didn't get back to bed until midnight. He really nursed though so maybe he was hungry and it's a growth spurt messing with him this week.
Late night tonight because of the birthday dinner and really early morning tomorrow for the car show so I see lots of coffee in my future.

I am anxious about daycare. We're on 5 waitlists for August. I'm convinced we won't get off them and will need to find a nanny, which is fine. But I'm really worked up about it all for some reason.
SIL1 is coming to stay with DD for the end of July and most of August. But I'm less excited about that all the time - she's a wonderful, kind person and she loves DD. But she's a little immature and some things have been coming up that remind me of that. Part of me wants DD to get into daycare early in August so we can send SIL1 home if it's not working out. It's also a long time to have someone staying with us.

moutonrouge we are also on a bunch of waitlists for mid-August start at daycares and I'm afraid it's unlikely we'll get a spot in time, ugh. I guess I need to look into nannies which in really not looking forward to.
