We rarely make 2 meals, but often amend the meal to make it more friendly for the kids. Actually truth be told, half the time I eat breakfast for dinner or chicken strips b/c lazy.

We don't meal plan more than a day or so ahead, so I never post here, but I'm always curious to see what everyone else is eating. Is that weird?
Like for instance, tonight we are having Salmon b/c we bought Salmon this weekend and it needs to be cooked. But I don't know what we will have with it. Probably Rice and broccoli since that is S favorite meal. Tonight we will take some meat out of the freezer for tomorrow, and the cycle continues.

jewels I didn’t meal plan for the longest time but I’ve discovered we eat out less when I do. It also allows me to prep things in advance so it doesn’t take as long.

jewels I like to get ideas from other people. I only meal plan for 2 reasons. 1-I hate going grocery shopping so I only want to go once. 2-The kids want to eat dinner as soon as we walk in the door at 6:15 so the past couple months we've been prepping the night before so it doesn't take as long when I get home.

I don't get home from work with the kids till 6:15 ish so there just is very little time during the week. I'd say we probably eat out about 2 X per month. When MH is in town, he does dinner 99% of the time b/c he works from home, but he is NOT a planner. When he is OOT, we do a lot of leftovers, noodles with frozen meatballs, breakfast for dinner, etc, so I can get dinner on the table in less than 20 minutes.

I didn’t meal plan this week. If I make time for it, the weeks goes better, but I’m in a rut about what to cook lately. flamingo TTMA chicken/wild rice casserole. I’ve seen these types of soups and want to try one, but MH would probably like it in a casserole better. Recipe?

I’ve seen these types of soups and want to try one, but MH would probably like it in a casserole better. Recipe? It's from Southern Living and is one of our favorites! It is a bit labor intensive but makes a ton...they say 2 11x7's but I only have 11x9 and still get 2 full pans. You could technically halve it, but I usually make the full batch and freeze one for later. www.myrecipes.com/recipe/chicken-wild-rice-casseroleThe one thing I do slightly differently is to shred the chicken, vs. chop it. I just prefer the texture that way.
