Went to a concert last night. Kids are still up early and all our coughs are worse and I’ve got a headache. I’m too old for this! 😂

Ds2 was up twice last night but slept really late so I did too. We got the ok to wake clock for ds1 and it worked! He came into our room immediately when it lit up but whatever. Not sure about plans for today. Both kids are coughing still. 🤷

Happy Saturday! I worked 7-11 this morning. Our to-do list is a mile long but I’m hoping we can tackle everything this afternoon so we can relax tonight. C is being a sweet momma’s boy today 🙃

Hi, all! I'm at work. Today is annoying. Our Friday night person, who only works 20% for our department to help give us our samples, called out last night, so I'm stuck doing more than usual. She does this a lot, especially on Friday nights, despite knowing we only have one Saturday person and it is usually a busy day, and I'm going to speak to my boss about it on Monday. I think I should be able to get everything done without overtime, though.

We went to the truck and car thing this morning. Ds3 had so much fun. The horns kinda scared AJ though. But he got to sit in the back of a police car and really liked that 😂 We might go to the apple fest after naptime if everyone wakes up in a good mood. I really want some apple sausage

Hi! Went to the fancy butcher this morning for short ribs. MH and I are lame and I'd rather cook a nice meal then go out for our anniversary, H is spending the night with my parents. Need to decide on dessert, there's an edible cookie dough place but don't know if I really want to make the 20 minute drive (each way) to get it. Just took 2 of 3 dogs for a walk and have almost 12,000 steps so far, I love fall weather!

I went grocery shopping this morning because tomorrow starts a huge local fair for 8 days. We will be trapped in town/work due to the huge surge in traffic. Now I’m just getting stuff done around the house.
E hasn’t been sleeping well but he’s also figured out how to pull himself up to his knees.
My H is finally feeling more normal. He had a chest x-ray to double check yesterday and his lungs are definitely clear. Thank the lord.

Need to decide on dessert, there's an edible cookie dough place but don't know if I really want to make the 20 minute drive (each way) to get it. Happy anniversary laurensc927! BabyWaffle is growing another two teeth up top so I guess we'll be struggling with bedtime for most of the holiday  it's sunset now and H is trying to calm her down after I failed twice. We walked ages this morning to get her formula and some nappies and spent a fortune because the supermarket was actually a convenience tourist store so we need to get a taxi tomorrow to a real shop for groceries... In the meantime, crisps and room service... |

I’m exhausted. I ran 12 miles this morning, and it sucked every bit of energy out of me. My throat also feels scratchy, so now I’m freaking out that I caught HFM. Pray for me. lol

We went to a harvest fest today. It was fun but we got home way later than I wanted. DS1 just went down for a nap and ds2 is fighting it. I really hoped to nap too but it’s not looking good.

Allergies? Maybe? I tend to get a sore throat/cold in the fall every year, so being outside this morning might’ve just made my allergies kick in or something. 🤞 |

My boss knows it has been a problem, so I feel bad nagging, but like... no one likes coming in on a Saturday in the first place, and then to have to do extra work (when there is already more work on Saturday than the rest of the week due to only have one person) just makes it more stressful. And not to toot my own horn or anything, but I am very efficient when I'm here, mostly because this is the part of the lab I spend the most time, and therefore I have a good system down. I won't be getting overtime today, and could even leave an hour early if I want to (I probably won't because I don't want to use vacation time). Some of my other coworkers don't spend nearly as time doing these particular tasks, and frequently have overtime on a Saturday, which really sucks, since those weekends we only get Sunday off (we get the Monday before off, so that's nice, but a one day weekend is still quick). But anyway, I have just over an hour left, so not too bad! |
