I would like everyone to know that today, 9/28, I, Flamingo, donned activewear and worked out. And then went to pick my kid up from school in aforementioned activewear. I felt so with it.

Josie’s class baked an apple pie for snack today then they ate it ala mode our mode. I was very sad the parents were not invited.

Well, there is a decent chance Giovanna will eat the soup... but also a decent chance she won't. I'd would be completely shocked if they little two even tried it. It smells good!

sands42 if your soup turns out well will you share the recipe? I have never made chicken noodle soup but would love to try it.

We're having a couple days in the 70s here right now so basically that means game-on as far as fall cooking goes.

I feel you. I’m on orange duty for soccer tomorrow. I have three giant bags in my fridge, and i forgot to pick up a plastic container large enough to transport them, so back out I go.

IME with soccer treats it's best to have a 2, maybe 3, containers for the kids to pick out of, and a waste bin/small garbage bag for the skins otherwise then end up in the same containers as the cut oranges.

Yes, I agree. The kids are not always great about using the garbage bag for their peeld. They’re working on it.

You guys are making me hungry for soup. But we have an unwritten rule at our house that there is no soup unless it's below ~40. H is usually pretty hot blooded, so only soup when it's cold.

I had a scam email this morning...someone claiming to be the CEO of our company, emailed me and asked me to purchase 100 $25 iTunes gift cards, scratch the code off the back and email them to him. He wanted to surprise his 'staffs.' Clearly this is not something our CEO would ever ask me, plus it wasn't even his actual email, just his name. So I played along, told him in about an hour I'd provide the codes he requested. I then took a snap chat picture of myself, flipping the phone off, with 'Go Fuck Yourself' across my face and emailed it back to them. I BCC'd HR on the entire thing and she laughed so hard. Both the girls in HR are keeping a copy of the picture for future use.

I needed the laugh today.

I’ve got chicken noodle soup in the crockpot... I’ve never made it before. I’m probably going to be the only one who eats it 🙄🤦🏼‍♀️

My only suggestion after my crockpot chicken noodle soup attempt I made earlier this week is to cook the noodles separately and then add into the bowls at the end. My noodles disintegrated into the soup, which was a giant bummer.

Colin's school called to say he's been to the nurse's office a couple times, complaining about a scratchy throat. No fever or swelling, and no signs of physical or emotional distress, so they're keeping him until dismissal. But they wanted to give us a heads up in case something is brewing - that seems odd. Very thoughtful, but still odd.

Anyhow I feel bad because he was complaining when he woke up this morning, but then he was acting fine by the time he had breakfast. Poor kiddo. He's so unaccustomed to it that he's a mess on the rare occasions he doesn't feel well.
