I’m looking to get rid of years of dying my hair dark brown and get back to more of a natural bronde color. Looking for any recommendations on the best color removers.

Definitely see a stylist. Please do not attempt this on your own. Use a stylist you trust and follow their recommendations.

Lol I guess I should preface that I am definitely super hesitant to do it to myself particularly because I’m afraid my hair will just fall out. I’ve read about ones that are gentle on the hair and I wasn’t sure if anyone had experience using one. I have a hair appointment with my stylist Wednesday evening to discuss her recommendations also!

My stylist recommended against it. I’ve bren doing auburn/red coloring for years and I’m tired of it and want to get back to dark blonde. He said it would make my hair like straw (my hair is pretty healthy now). I decided to grow it out, which kind of sucks but I’m using a semi permanent dye that’s kind of between the two shades to manage roots/grays.

my mom used one once and it turner her hair orange... her original change (from natural to whatever she dyed it) was not drastic at all.
So.... don't go it alone.

I did it once and everything turned out fine. But I probably wouldn’t have if I would’ve read these responses, lol.

Ooh boy do I have a story about trying to lighten your own hair... it was not good. I’m listening! I was in high school and my mom and I did it at home. We had to do it twice because the first process left it splotchy - dark brown to yellow patches all over my head. I had to wear a beanie for a few days between processes because it was so bad.

I did it once and wound up with weird orange hair that broke horribly. I wound up getting a chin length hair cut and spending $$$$$ to correct it.

I had to walk into a salon that took walk ins with my tail between my legs and ask them to fix it. This was like 3 months ago so I should know better.
