I’m almost 21 weeks and I feel super uncomfortable. My mom said maybe it’s because I’m old lol she didn’t mean it in a bad way. I’m 34! I just feel so much heavier like putting on sneakers is a chore. Anyone else yet? I can’t imagine how I’ll be feeling in a couple months!

Just got punched in the stomach by my brain injury patient 😏. It wasn’t hard enough to be truly worried, and baby is moving around, but still...not cool. She knows I’m pregnant, is super impulsive and immediately apologized, but ugh.

k yikes, I'm so sorry! strawberrykiki I'm there with you. Getting up and down, bending over, adjusting position, I feel like a small unwieldy whale lol.

I don't feel the whale status, yet, but I'm definitely feeling cow status. I've been having RLP that's been stupid painful the last two days. I'm over it. So, so over it.

Oh jeez k. I hope you don't have that happen again. I think I got to the unwieldy stage around 27 weeks last time. I'm sure it will be earlier this time.

k omg! Was it an accident? I think I’m surprised how unlike my normal self I feel and have felt this entire time. I’m glad I’m not the only one feeling uncomfortable already. I feel like it’s too early for this but my appointments have all been good and baby is healthy. I guess being pregnant really is this tough! 😬

I have been so uncomfortable. The horrible varicose/spider veins in my legs make it a million times worse because they hurt so bad all the time. I feel like I've been waddling since 12 weeks due to them, and one on my shin is so bad AMD hurts when anything touches it. I've had some back pain on and off recently. And still being nauseous all day at 26 weeks. I can't imagine how I'll feel when I'm huge on top of all this.

k Damn, I'm sorry. It's rough to be in a caregiving profession any time, but especially while pregnant. Things are definitely getting a little squished in there for me. I'm starting to wake up to use the bathroom MOTN, so I guess it's time for me to kiss my solid nights of sleep goodbye for the next year. I'm not crying.

strawberrykiki it definitely wasn’t an accident, but i don’t really fault the person either. She’s on a lot of meds that make her impulsive. we were in an atypical setting (outside for a fire drill) and I guess she couldn’t resist 😏.

CharlieB yes! I’ve been getting up at least 3 times at night to pee. It’s so crazy because I feel like I’m about to burst but I barely have to go!

k Glad baby is moving around! Hopefully that won’t happen again. strawberrykiki I definitely feel like putting on socks & shoes and getting out of bed is proving to be more difficult these days but I know it’s going to get a lot worse! Wait until you can’t see your lady bits to shave.. that’s when it gets real tough lol thelittleredm wanted to check in on you. Hope you’re doing okay ❤️

cch, Doing ok, thanks for asking. The house is much quieter and less chaotic, for sure. H is taking this the hardest of all of us. I think it's finally becoming a real thing for DS1 as he has finally started mentioning that he misses the corgi. I will say, the positive since all this happened is that I've had 2 solid nights of sleep for the first time in forever. Haven't even woken up to pee!

Im noticing my balance is just off, it’s annoying! I know it’s because my center of gravity is rapidly changing, but still!
Anyone else noticing awful BO? Is that a second tri thing or am I just the smelly kid in class? I switched to natural deodorant about 6 months ago. I don’t want to switch back but ugh, I’m gross!

For those of you having BH contractions, how many are you noticing? I don’t remember having BH until late 2bd tri/early 3rd tri with DD and when I got them they were infrequent until the last few weeks and at that point they were coming on because I was slightly dehydrated or on days I was very active. I mentioned having them to my OB last appointment but she didn’t seem concerned and said they are completely normal and happen sooner with subsequent pregnancies. But.. I’m wondering how many per hour is too many? Dr. Google says to call for more than 4-6/hr depending on the doctor 🤷🏼♀️

If I'm in the car or something like that where I'm in the same position for awhile, I may have a couple. Otherwise only a few per day. With ds2 once I hit about 34 weeks they were fairly regular, mostly when sitting. So during dinner or a car ride they would come every 8 minutes but weren't painful like labor contractions and then they would just stop.

TashaLa, I was sweaty and smelly for most of first tri, but it's back to normal. Hormones, I'm guessing! I used deodorant twice a day during the worst of it.

I've never had BH or anything before labor started. TBH they would make me nervous, especially early on!

redhead610 @amc Yeah I was only having a few per day until yesterday when I started getting 4-5 per hour for a few hours. I drank plenty of water and tried to relax best I could but they kept coming. They weren’t painful, just frequent. I swear having done this once doesn’t make this pregnancy any easier. This pregnancy is so different from my last! Within 15 minutes of waking up this morning I had 2 while still laying in bed. So I’m just curious if everyone else is having them as often as I have had them the past couple days/if it’s normal to have them so often for STM+ and at what point I should phone the OB.

TashaLa I remember smelling myself and having bad BO when I was nursing (especially in the early weeks? but not as much during pregnancy. Might have to switch back to regular deodorant or try a stronger all natural brand while things are off/hormones are out of whack! @amc no way Jose! I am soooo done after this baby. MH and I have always wanted two and we feel this LO will absolutely complete our family. One of us is for sure getting fixed shortly after this nugget is born! More power to you lady! 💪🏻👶🏻 notagoddess BH in general don’t worry me because my OB has assured me they’re normal and I had them pretty much everyday with DD in 3rd tri, some days more than others. Right now it’s just the frequency of them that is making me wonder if I should call to be on the safe side. I’m not used to having this many, especially this early on.

@amc this is our first and we definitely want one more! I was so very lucky this time we got pregnant on our second month with a sticky baby and I’m already worried what might happen when we try again. I was so nervous that I was too old. I’m 34 so I’ll be even older next attempt. But I need to get this baby boy here safe before I start worrying about the next one!

cch with ds2 they did a couple NSTs just to make sure they were just BH - you could bring it up at your next appointment, or call of you don't have one soon. @amc, this is most certainly our last. There is zero way my body would be able to handle another pregnancy. I can barely walk, my leg veins are so bad and painful, and they only get worse with subsequent pregnancies. I've had multiple doppler ultrasounds of my legs to rule out blood clots. I know we didn't plan on/wouldn't be able to afford 4 kids anyway, but I do feel a little sad that the option is pretty much taken off the table because my body hates me!

@amc We have always hoped for 2 (or maybe even 3), but 1st tri was so difficult that I made DH promise he was okay with one and done if I needed him to be. I'm sure we'll think seriously about OAD when things get harder in 3rd tri and with delivery/recovery. cch I have just had one BH contraction that I recognized, at about 16.5 weeks I think, and it was when I was dehydrated. I would also be wondering why if they were as frequent as yours already! I'm glad the OB thinks it's normal. Did they give you clear instructions on when to call? I would ask for that so I wasn't always second guessing about it, that seems stressful. TashaLa I was extra stinky through most of 1st tri (like, smelling a few hours after the shower:(), but noticed the last week or two it got better. I hope yours gets better too! I found it helps to wash my underarms several times in the shower, leave the soap on for a while, and dry thoroughly with a towel and immediately apply lots of deodorant in all directions before I take a step away from the tub! DH tried to get me into natural deodorant when we were dating, and it worked great - except on days it didn't (stress), so finally I decided it wasn't worth it, sadly!

I want another but IDK if it will happen. 1st tri was really rough on not only me, but my household as well. H had to take over most of the slack and I feel like my relationship with DD suffered. I feel better now and I can do more, but I'm still so tired all the time. The financial component is huge too. With 2, the cost of childcare will be slightly higher than what I bring in. With 3... ouch. I would love to stay home but can't afford to do that long term, and I don't think my job prospects would be that great if I stayed home for years. Also, besides a 10% contribution to 401ks, we are not saving for our future. The plan is to do more of that once the kids are in school, which would be delayed with the addition of a 3rd kid.
ETA: Also my toddler is taking years off my life these days...

I do not have this problem typically and I always use natural deodorant. It’s better now that it’s cooled off, but ew. Also, I can’t stand the smell of MH. 😂 I literally want to wash my sheets every night, have all the windows open, fan on, and I make him take nightly showers 😂. I’m kicking him out of the room soon.

I'm sure this is just crazy pregnancy hormones and the relatively "easy" time of 2nd tri talking... but I've been feeling more and more like this isn't my last pregnancy... anyone else here already thinking ahead to *maybe* having another baby after this one? Or am I alone in my craziness?! 😂🤣🙃 3rd trimester, childbirth, and having a newborn/3u4 may bring some sense back to me... or not. 🤷♀️ Haha I’ve had a few of those thoughts, but they’re gone. For now 😬. But really. I don’t think we have any good reason to have another. 😕

Thanks for all the stinky love, ladies 😂 @amc DH wants to be done after this one, but I could entertain thoughts of another. We’ll have to see what chaos comes. notagoddess I hear you! My 3 yr old told me today “I don’t really like hanging out with just you momma. I like hanging out with just daddy and you and daddy but not just you” Well damn, kid!

@amc notagoddess I was curious and Dr Google says A) don't have caffeine or sugar before anatomy scan because baby might move around too much to get good views of everything, and B) do have caffeine or sugar so baby will move around and cooperate with all angles needed, and C) so what you normally do so baby will act like it normally acts.
