I don't know if I would, part of the fun (for me) of a new home is decorating.

It depends on the situation and the furnishings.

Assuming it was clean and all personal items were sold, count me in. I would have a huge yard sale to get rid of everything I hated and have the ReStore pick up wherever didn’t sell.

Probably not because I like decorating and the chances that everything would be my taste seems slim. But if I walked in and everything was my taste and it was a great deal on nice furniture, it would be hard to pass up.

Assuming we didn’t somehow lose all our stuff, no way. We have too many things we love already.

Definitely situation-dependent...a vacation home that we plan to rent out or only use seasonally? Maybe, if I liked some of the stuff. Our regular full-time home? No.

I would buy a fully furnished home IF it was a second home, like a vacation house or something, and obviously if it was pretty and stylish.

When my parents sold their home in Florida the buyers wanted all their stuff. It was like a tommy bahama ad.

I voted maybe but chances are that I would do it. If I didn’t like a certain piece or liked what we have already then I would probably sell what they have. Otherwise, I’m selling my shit and moving the least shit necessary. We’ve looked at larger houses and I’ve said I would only buy it if it was furnished because lord knows once we buy the house we won’t be able to afford to buy more furniture and we don’t have near enough to not make the house look empty.

Depends on the style. If it was my taste and good quality, then definitely. One of the things that drives me crazy about moving and redecorating is how long it takes to find the right things to go in the right places.

A friend did this but it was a super high end home that had been featured in Architectural Digest and used by the past owners as a vacation home. I can’t imagine this being attractive to the average buyer.

Like my aunt found the receipt for the dining table set in the buffet and it said $7,000. She was like are you fucking kidding me. She just changed out all the artwork and bedding to personalize it.

For a second home for sure, if I liked the style.

Depends on the condition of the furnishings, if I had enough stuff already to furnish the home, and how much of a premium I was paying for furnishings.. We bought a house last summer that was an estate sale and the sellers (kids of prior owners) offered us any of the furnishings free of charge. We were moving from a tiny apartment so this saved us from having to buy stuff immediately. We got some really amazing pieces and some stuff that isn’t exactly my taste but it’s in good shape and allows us to have something there while we save for and decide what we want.
I’ve seen a few homes listed as “furnished” but it’s junk and the house itself is just brimming with it. It would have to be a tremendous bargain for me to consider a house I had to fully empty and discard the contents before moving in.

Yes for a vacation home/shore house/cabin (which I have no desire to own at this point, so it's a moot point), no for a house I'm going to live in, although the sellers of our house left us a couple of really nice couches and a desk(they asked first), which was really nice since we were coming from an apartment. The only other situation I probably would is if we were moving to a different country and not bringing our furniture with us.

I wouldn’t mind this if I loved the way the stuff looked. I actually kinda hate home decorating and coordinating stuff.

Maybe? Would be very situational. That sounds like a great option for a second home.
I actually bought quite a bit of furniture from the seller of our house. It fit the rooms so nicely and we were doubling house size (ie- we didn't have enough furniture from our previous house). So it worked out great for everyone. I don't know if I want ALL furniture and decor in my primary residence, but, if the price were right and everything my style, it would be worth considering.

I wouldn't mind it. Except I would buy new mattresses and probably couches that we would spend the most time on. And toilet seats, lol.
