I can't wait til C can eat solids and firm his poop up some. Jesus tits I am never taking him somewhere unless I absolutely have to again until that time. I spent my day scrubbing the carseat and we had to get our food to go. I'm guzzling wine. 👍

We got an invitation to a friends kids birthday party in a few weeks. It’s on a Saturday at 12:30. I can’t decide what to do. Either we go and my kid misses his nap (he is 2 and naps 12-3 every day without fail) and he is a nightmare later, or I stay home and SO goes to the party by himself (it’s his best friend, not mine). I’m the opposite of breezy about his sleep schedule and he’s never missed a nap. So I’m already stressing about this decision. It’s probably not a big deal but naturally I’m blowing it out of proportion in my head. If he misses his nap, have you tried putting him down much earlier than usual? I don't know, I stopped napping my then-2 y/o on weekends (he naps at daycare) bc it just didn't work for our family to work our schedule around his nap. He'd power through (sometimes with a little help of juice/candy) and then we'd just put him down 1(ish) hourly earlier than normal for bed. But I know all kids are different. My 2 boys aren't ones to act out when they missed nap though, mostly they just knocked out.

He’s a really good sleeper (finally) so I hate to mess it up. I told SO he can go without me. It’s at Chuck E. Cheese so I am really not sad at all about staying home. Lol.

I love the chocolate cake and supreme pizza at CEC so I'd actually be sad to miss it =D

Really guys? kmkdI feel like it would have been so much better as a 11-1 thing. Get in, get out and then my Sunday wouldn’t be ruined. Also they served lunch, but not until almost 3! Wtf? I’m home now so I should be in a better mood once I get my comforts on and snuggle down on the couch with my book. The way god intended! No snark. I’m not saying it’s not annoying. It’s just the schedule of probably every baby and bridal shower I’ve been to, and I’ve been to a lot. If it’s at a restaurant, that’s usually the time block they offer. Oh god the worst part was that it was not at a restaurant and they prepared and served their own food!

Yeah then they picked that and should have had food immediately. T&P for your stomach.

Also literally every shower I've ever been to, along with being a 3 hour event on a Sunday afternoon.

I may have once crashed into my parents garage door and taken it clear off the runners 😬 Omg! How did you do that?! How old were you? I was 17 and learning to drive. In My driving instructors car to get to reverse you had to push a button and move the shifter to 1st gear position, in my car it was under 5th. So I went from my instructors car straight to mine, my mum was chatting and distracting me, so I put the car in “reverse” and went straight forward into the garage because I’d actually put it in 1st gear.

Whoops! Could have easily happened to anyone though. I went between driving my dad’s MG to driving American standard cars, and I can totally see how that would happen.

I’m at a baby shower right now with my H and kid. I’m so annoyed. $30 to park and the shower is from 1-4 so my whole day is wasted. Plus, I had to drive downtown and going home, I will be among the baseball game traffic. Who the hell throws a 3 hour shower in the middle of the day????? All you not yet pregnant folk - don’t do this. Your friends will hate you. sounds good to me. Not too late and not too early.

We had a good day. Went to the playground and then did a bunch of baking. We have cornbread, pumpkin chocolate chip bread and applesauce! So delicious!
FIL is over for a quick visit to sample some of the treats. Back to school tomorrow.

I'm ok on this island.

Nay on the $30 parking and timeframe.
Luckily around here people usually have Sunday brunch showers at restaurants (with free parking). Usually 11-1, so you still have most of the day.

Yea, in my area people usually go to "Sunday" mass on Saturday afternoon or early on Sunday. Guess "it's regional, lol."
