Looonngg day. Actually long week, I at least got my front porch washed yesterday so it’s clean. Hubs said we could’ve left the authentic cobwebs until after Halloween 🤣 speaking of which...anyone thought of costumes for the kiddos? I told hubs he could go as Indy and DS can be short round 😂🤣 If baby gets done with dinner we may meet up with hubs and DS maybe he’ll be able to join ToT Next year. We have an invite to a BBQ tomorrow and I’m thinking of making something to bring white what I have at home which is why I’m up way too damn late 😐

I think I’m just going to pull out DD1’s old costumes and see what fits so she’ll either be Snow White or Wonder Woman... DD1 says she wants to be Princess Poppy again... maybe I’ll get creative and make the baby a troll too. I’m still working on DD2’s cake smash photoshoot outfits, props and cakes so I haven’t thought too much about Halloween.
My friend is having her 40th Birthday celebration at an axe throwing place so we’re going to that. It’s at 6 so we are going to have a really early or late dinner I still have to look up restaurants.

LO will be going as Superman. Next year he'll probably be Thor. I don't mind dressing him in hand-me-downs for a couple years when he has no clue what's going on. 🤷♀️
DH is at football, my ILs just took DS1 to a parade, and I'm feeding LO. I hope I can be productive during his nap. I'd really like a nap. Must resist.

Currently trying to get DS down for an early nap because he has music class and DD has dance class...right in the middle of normal nap time. He is not asleep yet but seems to be settling I hope. Then we have a family Bbq tonight, but of course, it snowed again 🙄

Fever free for over 72 hrs! Hives free for 24hr! Eating everything and crawling everywhere... I’d say we are better! She doesn’t look like it but she loved watching DD1 play soccer this morning and playing with the ball we brought on the sidelines.  |

There's a baby in our house taking a few small steps at random. He can also stand up unassisted (go from sitting on the floor to standing up) when he really wants to. Who is this baby and where did my squish go???

Did they figure out if you had an infection? I also try to avoid antibiotics if I can help it. Sorry about your H’s car accident ☹️ rebeccabunch Forever is at the top of my list to watch! I heard to watch the first three episodes in a row. I know absolutely nothing about it, so I’m excited to see what it’s all about!

Sorry I haven’t been around - had a busy week and we decided to take a last minute trip with a few families this weekend up to the mountains. We all stayed at a cool concept resort and visited a dairy farm. Amazing time and awesome food- 7 toddlers, 3 babies, 8 parents, and a partridge in a pear tree 😂🤣

Yesterday I mentioned to my husband something about some sexy time after the baby went to bed. Well, when I came to the living room from putting the baby down and my husband had piled all the cushions up in various places (for my neck).
Proudly, he looked at me and said "I made a f*ck station!"

cythe 😂 He’s a keeper. Taitai OB/GYN never called back and my GP was closed Thursday & Friday so I don’t know the test results. I decided not to use the antibiotics and I haven’t had a fever or any signs of infection and am feeling back to normal except for a little bit of cramping which is totally normal. I’m not sure if the hospital sent the results to the OB-GYN but I know for sure they did to my GP so I have to wait until tomorrow. That sounds like such a fun trip for you guys and the kids!

cythe Your H - 😂🤣. I’m just impressed you offered up anything if your neck was in such bad shape! August Blooms - That sucks they never got back to you. Humpf. Maybe the results said you were infection free, so they didn’t think it was worth getting back to you right away? Either way - I’m glad you’re feeling better! Fingers crossed it’s nothing. And yes - the trip was so much fun, but now back to reality tomorrow....

Axe throwing was super fun, I did really well for a first timer and almost beat the axe throwing league champion... lol yes that is totally a thing. I stayed up too late and now feel hungover even though I only had one cider.

But I have it as a line item, along with groceries, gas etc. I’ve tried to take every expense into consideration and I’m in awe we can blow through the remainder with nothing to show for it. A good majority has to be eating out. |

I’m making a chicken apple dish for the first time tonight. Super fall ingredients. If it turns out well ill let you know. H is finishing it up bc I’m nursing right now and I hope he doesn’t ruin it. He’s not a detail guy!

DD2 definitely stood for the first time today. She also is back to giving big, open-mouth kisses. Both girls napped late so they were not tired at normal bedtime and stayed up while H and I folded laundry. Read for a full week of work to get back in routine this week. Weather is supposed to be beautiful so hopefully the girls and I can get outside some.

Taitai about Forever I’m excited for you to watch it. I hadn’t heard about watching the first 3 episodes all at once but now that you mention it, that is a good idea. The show isn’t all perfect but I really enjoyed how it ended and there is this one episode that made the whole show for me. I won’t spoil it w giving the ep number bc at first I didn’t know what I was watching and when it was over I was like that may have been one of the most well done episodes of a show I’ve ever seen. Top 3 maybe ever. Mid century modern architecture is a theme of the show and I always find it so comforting. I think that bc of my grandparents house but I wonder if that’s a little universal?

curmudgeon eating out is a huge chunk of where our budget goes too (and that’s the part we can control!). Donyou have any money getting taken out pre-paycheck? We have a flex account for dependent care and because it’s such a hassle to file I always forget and then ending up doing like 6 weeks at a time which puts back quite a bit into our account. August Blooms axe throwing sounds awesome. Add it to your many talents! cythe your H makes me laugh but I’m sorry your neck still hurts. I hope it heals quick! Taitai your little trip sounds great, I mean it’s a lot of littles walking/crawling/laying around but knowing that going in it sounds like you all had fun. bootsorhearts1 I feel ya on the weight stuff. Especially now that DD2 is cutting back in nursing I need to reign it. But then I’m still so damn hungry! rebeccabunch I remember being dairy free and soy free with DD1. Ugh. Is your LO still nursing a lot? How is she with transitioning to some solids as well? duskymonkey are your parents still there? Any more luck with bottles or straw cups?

I do not remember DS1 screeching like LO is. He's so incredibly loud, you guys. I don't know if he's frustrated, just likes screeching, or if he feels like he needs to be louder than his brother, but we are over this phase. DS1 included. "Mom, I can't hear anything!" I know, kiddo. I know....
Also I feel like every time we make progress with solids it isn't long until we take two steps back.
Maybe this isn't my favorite age...? Maybe football season is wearing on me. Idk.

CoachTsWife DD2 has started screaming too, I think it’s because she gets attention. bootsorhearts1 I’m going to be sad when I quit breastfeeding and have to drop my calories. Are you able to drink more water or tea to help with the hungry feeling? curmudgeon Take out can be such a huge expenditure. We’ve cut it down but find it impossible to completely cut it out.

Looking at our accounts, sometimes we eat out 5 meals on weekends alone. So yeah we should probably cut back. Extending my meal planning to 7 days is probably my step 1. I was only planning 5 before. My bad!
...and stop going shopping with MIL because she is the best/worst enabler.

rebeccabunch Yeah - that was LO and I in the first 2 pics. Our nanny was with LO in the last one. DS1 was also in the background on one of them! I am even more excited to watch Forever after what you said! H and I need to start that this week. How did the chicken apple dish turn out? It sounds delicious!! CoachTsWife My baby is screeching and squawking too - it’s soooooo loud. I read in the wonder weeks app that they are discovering their voices right now - DS1 was going through this phase right around 1 yr too. I remember it passing after a few weeks. curmudgeon Eating out gets so expensive so quickly! That is always something we have to keep in check over here too. I hate cooking, so that doesn’t help things.
