I really love that I can gif at work. It's too hard on my ipad.
I made a tiny huge mistake of going to bed at 10:30 last night. E was up at 9:30, 10:30, and 1:00. The first two were mini wake ups but the 1:00 was a little longer. I had just gotten him asleep with N woke up and made his way into our bed. I went and slept in his bed instead. I'm just happy that the end of the week is here.

Morning!! DH ended up having to work today, so it's just the baby and I. I have all the sale items in my car, so I cant even be productive and get groceries or anything. I mean I could clean but nah. I proclaim it as a day of doing nothing! Plus storms keep rolling in and out (we're prone to violent but short lived thunder-storms, thank you Lake Ontario).

B woke up at 4:30 am so I put him down for a nap at 7....so now I’m waiting on him to wake up so I can take him to daycare and go into work. I have to work tomorrow so I don’t feel bad about being late.
Today is the huge consignment sale in town. I really need to get B winter pjs, a jacket/coat or two, and I’m on the lookout for large halo sleep sacks. Will also probably be taking a long lunch to go today before it’s all picked over, but IDGAF about taking the time off work right now.
(Our fiscal year end is next Friday and they have been going nuts for weeks now)

TGIF. I’m on kid duty all weekend while my H helps my dad move, so nothing too exciting. I might take them to check out a new to us play space tomorrow.
I think next week I’m going to cut down to one pump a day at work. B will be a year in six weeks. I can’t believe it!

Why does this baby hate naps? He falls asleep on the boob, then his eyes pop open as soon as I try to transfer him. Rocking just pisses him off so I put him in his crib with hopes that he’ll just go to sleep- nope, just cries and cries and cries.

Ds2 slept in and only had one wake up (at 1030pm). This is highly unusual for him but I'll take the uninterrupted sleep! I need to run to Michael's and pick up some books for ds1 from a neighbor. He's really starting to read so I asked around for any step 1 books. I may stop at Carter's too since I have three million coupons depending on how ds2 is doing. He pretty much loves going shopping and getting to see people/different places. #blessed

Today is my birthday but I am sitting at work. Boo. We've got a busy day tomorrow so I am kind of stressing. DS1's soccer game, which could get cancelled depending on rain, then his birthday party in the afternoon and finally H and I are supposed to go to a concert in the evening and have a babysitter for the first time. My house is not in good order either so that should be great. Ugh. I think I just need to get in a better mood somehow. I've been a huge grump lately.

Happy birthday, spacecadet! N did well last night. We gave him the liquid Tylenol-3 they gave us with his 11pm bottle to help him sleep, but this morning he seems much closer to his normal self so hopefully we will just need regular Tylenol for today. Mom is with him today since I needed to go in (if it wasn’t for taking time off for my cousins wedding next weekend, I would have stayed home). I’m dragging and it’s raining, but N looks like he’s having fun with his exclusive grandma time, which is all that matters

Happy Birthday spacecadet! I’m drowning over here. This kid won’t sleep. Man it’s annoying. The last 4 nights he will not sleep or let me put him down if he does fall asleep for the 10 minutes. I told myself Oct 1, I’m night weaning and sleep training.

cakewench - any tips or tricks for using royal icing to decorate cookies? It's not something I do often, but here's what I got: 1. If you have more icing than can fit in a bag, cover the bowl with a damp towel while you're working. Royal icing dries FAST. 2. Have two consistencies - one slightly stiffer than the other. Use the stiffer icing for making a dam/outline for areas you want to fill (also good for adding details when thinner icing dries). Thinner icing is for filling areas. This video shows what I mean: www.facebook.com/mybhg/videos/10155550661656019/Using a sugar needle (like in the video) or a toothpick can help you fix any tiny air bubbles.

Morning everyone, happy birthday spacecadet! What a busy weekend, it'll get you out of your funk I think. Welcome back to my period, had a good 20 month run! We have four days for my period to calm down and DD to get over her cold before we leave 😬 DD seems less snotty today and her fever seemed to have died down through the night, but she was so cranky this morning. She woke up after 30 minutes of her nap crying and took awhile to fall back asleep with some cuddling and singing. Maybe she has a sore throat or something now. Also probably a bit sleep deprived.

TGIF! I'm currently trying to convince my H to bring the girls to have lunch with me at work today. Would love some baby snuggles to help me power through the afternoon! Their 9 month appointment went okay yesterday. Paris had just a very slight dip in her weight percentile (2% down to 1.88%) and she's still on her curve but since it's been such a struggle to get her to consistently stay on her curve we decided with the doctor that it couldn't hurt to speak with a nutritionist for advice on how to get her to gain better. Siena's percentile totally jumped though, I think she was like 5th-6th% at 6 months and is just under 14th% now. They both get the same amount of milk per day and I give them the same food. I make almost all of their food and know what they're eating is plentiful and nutritious, so I feel like I'm doing everything I can. But I'm interested to see what the nutritionist says. Oh and crazy, Paris cut her first tooth yesterday and the doctor was the first to notice! Crazier, my H texted me this morning that she cut another tooth overnight! She hasn't even skipped a beat. Slept like a champ all night. In other news, I just ordered denim suspender skirts and hats for the babies Mario and Luigi costumes. Also, I want to buy them those mustache pacifiers. Should I get these kissy lip ones smile.amazon.com/Hibery-Mustache-Gentleman-Handlebar-Pacifiers/dp/B07214DR4X/ref=sr_1_5_a_it?ie=UTF8&qid=1537551111&sr=8-5&keywords=mustache+pacifiers or plain ones smile.amazon.com/dp/B0774BGCRP/ref=twister_B07B11T9MR?_encoding=UTF8&th=1 ?

Hi all, from San Francisco! We went to the Eagles/Zac Brown Band concert last night and it was amazing. ZBB was my favorite, they were spectacular. They sang Bohemian Rhapsody toward the end and it was so good.
We met my cousin for breakfast and now we are waiting on AAA to jump start the car because the battery died. 😖 because of course, lol. But we will walk around the ferry building a bit and then back to the ILs and girls.

Thanks cakewench! After a morning of trial and error, I made a call to the local bakery and they’re making them For me for my sons birthday. 😂 I love the idea of decorating cookies. Maybe if I would dedicate more time. I don’t have the patience. Lol Some turned out ok. Others flooded over even with an outline. Lol. I’ll keep trying for the next bday party.

My mom just called. She put N in his high chair while she finished prepping his bottle. As she was getting him back out she slipped, and he fell. He's got a bruise on his forehead and cried, but took his bottle and is sitting and playing like he's fine. H was already on his way home. I think when he gets there we will call the pedi. With the surgery yesterday and falling from a height, I'd just feel better having him get checked out.
My poor mom feels like shit. I keep trying to tell her it's OK and we're not mad, it was clearly an accident, but I know she's beating herself up over this.

cakewench Poor guy! Hope he's okay and that your mom stops being so hard on herself. cdnfarmgirl I've tried my hand at decorating cookies with royal icing a few times and it's so hard! One of my old roommates has a cookie business and does the most amazing cookies, I'm always in awe of how precise she gets the details.

I knew it was hard, but I really sucked. I think the tricky part is getting the right icing consistency.

They called the pedi when H got home. The pedi ran through a list of questions and said they were happy to have him come in, but based on what Mom/H were telling them, he's probably fine and we'd likely be sent right back home again. They want us to keep an eye on him and if anything changes, to call. He hasn't puked, fallen asleep, or passed out; he's not bleeding; he recognizes who is around him, and he's crawling and playing and getting in to everything. The pedi did recommend stopping the Tylenol (he's only been taking the regular today) just in case it's masking any pain from the fall. So he might be a little uncomfortable tonight.
Can we please be uneventful the next few days? Thanks. I think I just felt more gray hairs sprout.
