DS1 is mostly good. He is getting along well with DS2, adjusting to school (despite almost a whole week off last week for the hurricane), and having fun with his new BFF next door. Apparently there is a kid at school who is picking on him though. I sent a note to his teacher and hopefully we can nip it in the bud before we have a bullying situation like last year. DS1 is perfect and I love him and wouldn't change a thing about who he is, but I wish he wasn't such an easy target.
How am I? I'm overall good but having the worst freaking day. **loss mentioned, not mine**
QOTW: Ooooh. That's a good question. I'm going to go with critical thinking. I credit my parents and nursing school (my mom was one of my instructors too) with teaching me to process things quickly and plan for the next step. I use "nurse thinking" a lot in every day life.

{Spoilered because long and whiny}The dog broke his kennel somehow, and DS2 and I went to the store to get a new one. The first two places we went were all out. I got a slow leak in the rear tire of my SUV (which fortunately I carry a pump so I was able to deal with it but I'll still have to take the tire in), then my BFF texted me to say that she had a m/c at 9 weeks. She's been TFAT for a while on top of that, so she was already stressed. We talked for a while and she has a plan in place and seems to be doing okay, but she's heartbroken, and I'm heartbroken for her. And myself, selfishly. I'd never tell her of course, but I'm wallowing in self-pity of remembering what that feels like and being mad that I know exactly how she feels, if that makes sense. And I feel like a jerk for worrying about myself when she's going through so much.
THEN DS2 and I got home, and the dog pooped in his (old broken) kennel, and somehow got it everywhere. Like I'm having to wash curtains and Lysol blinds and bleach the entire dining room floor everywhere. I don't know how he did it and it's so freaking gross. Everything is cleaned and everyone is showered now, but it took me almost an hour. Thankfully we had the new kennel so at least that was one thing I didn't have to completely scrub.
