How's everyone doing? Do you have any health goals you're working on?

I don't feel sick anymore. I had to completely stop exercising during 1st tri but now I've brought it back. I'm doing a short lunchtime yoga class 3x/week and a prenatal class on Saturdays. Cardio has been more challenging because I'm having hip pain which gets worse with walking. So I'm trying to limit walking and the like as much as possible. I did go rollerblading a few times which is a different motion, but as soon as I get big, that's going to be out. But overall, I feel much better being more active.
Diet is still not great. I am eating many healthy things each day (unlike in 1st tri) but I am also having "splurges" every day. I'm gaining weight much faster than with my last pregnancy and I want to get it under control, but haven't succeeded so far. I think it's because I'm so tired all the time that I'm craving sugar.

I'm definitely struggling here. I was benched from exercise for a while due to spotting, and I was just starting to get out for walks again when pneumonia hit. I'm sloooooowly feeling better and coughing less, so I'm going to try working some yoga and short walks back in to my routine. I see the pulmonologist tomorrow and I'm keeping my fingers crossed that I'll be cleared for activity.
I would like to improve what I'm eating, but it's whatever I can tolerate for the time being. I've increased fruits over the last week, so that's a plus! And I'm trying to be more intentional about water intake. @amc it sounds like you're doing awesome with this - WTG!

Looks like 2nd tri is an encouraging time for a wellness check in! So glad many of us are able to move a bit more now.
Nausea is gone as long as I still take unisom and stay hydrated, bleeding and spotting are gone, and I have a little energy. Tried a couple prenatal Tai chi videos, walked the dog. My Crohn's is acting up so that limits the healthier foods I'd been eating (salad, nuts, strawberries, carrot sticks), but aversions are clearing up so I'm getting more protein so that's a win (chicken, eggs).
Looks like I've gained 1/2 lb this week for a total of 3.5 by adding in second breakfast, second lunch, or second dinner each day, depending on when hunger strikes, so that's good too. A pound a week average from now on will bring me to 25lb goal, but I'm guessing it will be a little slower for now and a little faster in third tri. Trying to keep "treats" to one or none each day.

CharlieB, pneumonia on top of normal pregnancy stuff sounds like an absolute nightmare. Be gentle with yourself!

I am doing pretty well with my weight gain goals. I started out this pregnancy overweight so I am trying to limit my gain to 25ish pounds if possible. At 21+4 I have gained about 3 lbs. net (having lost a few in first tri) so definitely on track assuming I can keep it to one pound per week from now until the end. I’m eating like 80-85% healthy (way more carbs than I was eating pre-pregnancy) so it’s not something I’m obsessing over but glad to know it’s in check.
I’m still doing Orangetheory but it’s become more sporadic. I’m having trouble fitting it into my schedule because of work, traveling so much, and being tired/unwell. My doctor says it’s okay to keep doing it even with my BP issues, but I still get nervous when my heartrate gets climbing during class.
I started a 6 week prenatal yoga class on Monday so I will have that for the next several weeks. I would like to do more yoga during the week and I have a DVD but just have trouble getting motivated to do it at home.

Oof. I've gained 15 pounds by now (at 18 weeks). I'd love to not gain more than last time (35 pounds) but I really don't want to do more than 40. That would put me at the same delivery weight as I was with DD. If I gain a pound a week starting now, I'd be at 37 total. But I never had a steady linear weight gain -- it was a big jump, leveling off, another big jump, etc.

I don’t even want to know how much I’ve gained. 😬 I’m still staying pretty active. Weekly jogs and almost daily walks. Random squats throughout the day, ha. I’m just so hungry all the time 🤷🏻♀️.

I’ll be honest I haven’t paid much attention to weight gain. At 17 weeks I had gained about 7 or 8 pounds. I’ve been walking most days and I do eat healthy food but also I indulge more than I should probably. I’m super hungry and I have poor willpower lol
At 20 weeks my back is starting to hurt and I’m getting a little uncomfortable in some things I do like bending over and laying down at night. He isn’t even a pound yet so I’m wondering how uncomfortable I’ll feel by the end! 😳

I've managed to keep up with working out 3 mornings a week at 530. I do a variety of cardio and strength classes. I've had to start modifying some but still hanging in there. I started this pregnancy heavier than I would have liked so I'm trying to stay as active as possible. I need to work on making better food choices and getting more protein. I still have a lot of food aversion that vary from day to day which means I'm eating way too much crap. I also need to up my water intake.

Ive only gained 2lbs so far and i'm 25 weeks but honestly I think I just replaced drinking weight with a baby. Hopefully I can keep my healthy habits after baby comes. I definitely needed to lose weight before getting pregnant so my Dr is happy which makes me happy. I think my salad cravings are helping. I've been stressed out about possibly having GD and weight gain this whole pregnancy since I was over weight to begin with.

At my 16 week appointment I had gained 3lbs total but by my anatomy scan two weeks later I was up 3 more pounds so 6lbs total at 18 weeks. I’d love to gain 20-25lbs total but I have a feeling I’ll gain closer to 30-35. I gained 45-50 with DD and started this pregnancy out almost 20 pounds heavier than I did with my last pregnancy. Even with BFing for 16mo with DD I was surprised how hard it was for me to get the baby weight off. Some women seem to bounce back super quick and I can only hope that will be the case for me this time. I’m more active this pregnancy than last so hopefully that will help!
