I was measuring for a new storm/screen door and my H was all "I don't know that you're measuring correctly" and I was all sassy and snappy and then I went back to measure and I had indeed measuring incorrectly. I haven't told him yet but I will tonight.

I am trying to figure out how much ground beef/shredded chicken I need to feed 31 people (17 adults, 14 kids ages 4 - 11) for DS10’s birthday party. Party starts at 4 and I will have light apps out, taco bar at 5, cake/ice cream at 5:30, party ‘ends’ at 6. I will have chicken nuggets for those kids who don’t like tacos. Also any ideas for tween-ish party games to play? I would probably do 10 pounds and it would most likely be entirely too much- even when I try to scale my estimates down I make twice as much as I need If you factor about 3 tacos per adult and maybe only half the kids (7) having 2 each and 2 ounces of meat per taco and 1lb of meat making about 12 ounces of taco meat then I would think like 10.8lbs of meat so I would do 10 as well.

My insurance doesn't cover flu shots for adults. HOORAY. My mom had this issue last year. Someone told her to have the pharmacy bill it to the medical portion of the insurance, not the pharmacy/drug side. It doesn't really make much sense to me, but I think it worked.

Help me, my toddler got out of bed hourly all night long until we gave up around 2 or 3 am and let him sleep with us where no one actually got much sleep.
I ordered the bed rail to convert his crib, an ok to wake clock, and will baby gate the door tonight too. Any other words of wisdom?
Half of me wants to be mean Mom hard ass, but he’s also had terrible nightmares and separation anxiety the last few weeks. What do I do?

I’m struggling this week. Im extremely lethargic. My tsh levels are on point, so I don’t know why my body is being an asshole right now. I feel like I haven’t slept in days, when I have. Im seeing my endo on Monday and see what she says.
My mom wants to do b12 injections on my ass. So I’m trying to not do that.

I had bloodwork done yesterday and they called and said my Vit D is low and my kidney function is a bit low too. The Dr wants me to take a high dose of Vit D for 3 months as well as hydrate more and get my levels rechecked. I am constantly drinking water and peeing so I don't know how I can hydrate even more.
Of course, I consulted with Dr. Google and there are studies out that say low Vit D levels are linked to early signs of kidney disease. Most of my projects at work support our chronic renal division so this is hitting close to home and I'm spiraling.

I'm sorry that you're worried, I hope it's nothing serious.

I'm sure it could be a lot of things and most likely nothing serious, otherwise they would want to see me sooner than in a couple months.
But there goes my anxiety.

I will not weigh in on the cooking math/meth since I have made 4L of marinara, 80 meatballs, and 24 naan pizzas to freeze for my 2 children and husband while I’m away next week. I might be cooking through some anxiety feelings, WHO’S TO SAY?

It seems like vitamin D deficiency is so so common so it's very likely that they are two unrelated and minor issues.

Fuck. My truck has a code. Last time it threw this code it basically laid down on me. I had one more yard to mow but I was next to the school so I just swung in here to get the kids. Except they don’t get out for an hour. But I was afraid of the truck laying down and not going over 10 mph like last time so now I’m the weirdo showing up and sitting in the parking lot for an hour but simultaneously the asshole going through carline with a trailer on. I was planning on coming through at the end and it not being an issue but I guess plans change.
