My dad asks me to write a Christmas list for our family. I have no idea what to ask for the baby because he has everything. Ideas?

I'll be here following along because I have no idea either. I saw an awesome play kitchen on our FB BST, but H vetoed it because he thinks she's too little still. I'm keeping that idea for next year though.
I'm not helpful.

I'm keeping that idea for next year though. I'm not helpful. We have Gs that he can play with. I think my biggest issue is that I kept all of Gs baby toys so he has a ton of toys already. So far the only thing I want for him is a BeatBo. G broke hers so I got rid of it but she loooooooved that thing I figure he will too.

So far I have books, Robeez, a few Manhattan toy company toys, a skip hop backpack and lunchbox and bath toys on his list. Some of these may get added to his birthday list too.
We’re also debating the pottery barn chair for Christmas or his birthday (we already have the insert but need the cover.

Probably Robeez, spring clothes won't be out though. Maybe a couple small toys. Bows 😍🤣

kbw I was planning on the Pottery Barn chair as well! The backpack and lunchbox are a good idea too. The Skip Hop ones are soooo cute.

pinkcat I think the skip hop bag and lunchbox are awesome for daycare. When he’s a little older I’ll get him a pottery barn one like Ds1’s. sunfrogger I’m letting grandparents do the clothing shopping for Christmas except for whatever pajamas I pick for him for Christmas Eve to go with DS1.

I also have the SkipHop backpacks on our list. I have a pair of headphones that she’ll be able to use in the future for our car dvd.
Most expensive would be the $100 convertible full size bed rails for her crib. I always panic this kind of item could be discontinued when we need it and rather have it ahead.
I ask mostly for “experience gifts” instead of toys. Such as gift cards to indoor play places, children’s museums, local attractions and so on. I always take pics when we go and send them to whoever gifted it to us. It worked well last year.

We are getting the baby a balance bike which he can use next summer. My husband is an avid cyclist so he wants H to start early lol.

My dad was all excited to get ds1 a balance bike when he was about 1.5. He is just now at 3 starting to glide on it. I know some kids do sooner but he initially didn't want to ride on it and my dad was disappointed.

flippinchica, I'll be shocked if he's able to use it at 1.5. I'm sure my husband thinks he'll be gearing up for the Tour de France or something lol

I also want a PB anywhere chair for H. I have one for dd1 so I have to have one for her too! Especially since we’ll have a play room in the new house!!
I also want to get a big activity cube. I never got one for dd1 and I always regretted it. That’s all I got.

I’m having each of the kids take home from the hospital outfits made into stuffed animals for them!
I started giving their clothes away, and now that H got his V everything is feeling more official, but before the newborn stuff went away I pulled those outfits out with no plan in mind, just knowing I wanted to keep them. So when I came across that I thought it was a cute keepsake.
ETA well I guess that doesn’t really help the initial question of what to tell family and friends, lol. I’m pretty lost on that this year too since she’s #3, has a big sister, and her birthday is 2 weeks later. Probably clothes, since all her stuff is hand me downs and will still be slightly off season since her sister is a June baby. Though she should be catching up to clothes soon that she can wear for longer than 2 or 3 months at a time, haha.

Definitely don’t have a clue what to get baby or ask for. She’s the fourth girl, there isn’t a single thing she could possibly need. Last year my parents gifted the kids the Disney trip. Soooooo 🤷🏼♀️🤷🏼♀️🤷🏼♀️

Soooooo 🤷🏼♀️🤷🏼♀️🤷🏼♀️ Although I only have 2 girls - I feel the same way - she doesn't need anything to play with. What about signing her up for a class just for her or with her and your DD3? Like kindermusic? I should probably do something similar for baby since we are always going to activites for DD1 and DD2 just goes to watch.

sarahh not a bad idea. At the moment I’m not sure I want to add anything else to our calendar. I feel like we’re always on the go. But I have a feeling once she drops her morning nap I’ll be changing my tune and want something structured.

A local toy store has been having a huge sale so I'm all set for baby. We try not to do too much for gifts (my family overdoes it) but I was super excited to pick out a babydoll and stroller for V. Those will be her "big" gifts. I picked up a couple of other things too like a book and a nesting blocks tower thing.

I will probably get O an Anywhere. E has a flip out couch but 🤷🏼♀️ I want them to match!
Maybe a pull along toy. My mom's been talking about a trampoline 🤦🏼♀️ but I have nowhere to keep something like that right now.
I'm struggling with E too. Her bday is exactly a month before Xmas (11/26). I asked her teacher for some ideas. What do your olders play with? I might spring for a vanity or a bike this year for her. Maybe magnatiles for home. More duplos. Etc. Bonus is that O can play with duplos, maybe I can get rid of all the mega bloks and stick to one type of block.

Magnatiles (I buy the shapemags brand) are one of the most played with toy in our house. 👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻

Bumping, because these came in today and I’m so excited about them!! DS’s is the dog, DD1 the monkey, and DD2 the elephant. Each of their take home outfits and all 3 have part of a blanket they all used.

tiffrobot these are awesome! Can you share where you got them? Or again? Yep! www.etsy.com/ca/shop/NestlingKidsTruthfully I had to get over the price, but once I did I’m glad I went ahead with it. They are obviously something we hope will be held on to for a very long time in our family, and now that I’ve received them, her craftsmanship and attention to detail is incredible. Plus the price includes free shipping with tracking and a signature required so you can feel safe about their return. (Which is to Canada and the States!) I just searched Canadian shops and this was my favourite I came across with animal and size options and just the general style that she does, so definitely a good pick! I’m sure if you wanted to not have your clothes leave your country you’d find many options across the whole site!

Those are amazing tiffrobot!! How long did it take to get them? This was about 7 weeks from the day I mailed them to the day they showed up here, her site estimates 6-8 weeks from time of arrival of the clothes! ETA wait it might have been 7 weeks from the day I ordered them but I got the clothes in the mail as soon as I could after!
